Restarted again yesterday after getting back down to 130, then cheating for over a week! :/ I want to try and make myself post here for more accountability! Plus I love seeing the weight losses of others! Its really motivating!

Sep goal: 129
Sep 1 - NW
Sep 2 - 139.5
Sep 3 - 136.5

I know 3 lbs overnight seems drastic but I know I have lots of water weight sitting on me right now. On sunday I had half of a pizza, ice cream, cookies, BBQ.. a carb fest!! So 3 lbs of water weight after being strictly on plan yesterday seems about right. Good luck with your losses this month everyone!

Great to see you Juliana, Kemp, A'smommy, and Danielle! Let's do this!!

Good luck with your vacation fund Laura!

No worries bulldogmom and indiekim! Minor blip and back on track! KUTGW!

Genie, having a plan is always a good thing! At least we can learn as we go! Stay strong!

Nice drops fitmommy and niki!! KUTGW!

Got my kids off to school for their first day and went to work for half a day. Can't wait to pick up my first grader and hear how his day went. Then tonight my ninth grader has his first football game. I need to stay away from the concession stand! Those giant pretzels are way too tempting! Can't wait to see him play though!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Thanks for the welcome back!!!

Made it through the day so far. Going shopping tonight with my DW to get all stocked up for the first week. It is good to see so many familiar faces and all the new ones. I guess I am now new seeing as I have been gone for so long. I gained all but 8 lbs back so I will call that a WIN!!! LOL. (not funny?) Such is dieting, I am just so happy to be back and getting it done. Will catch up with post and see you guys in the morning.

Hi guys,

Goals for this month, 140lbs..
Exercising and live my life to the fullest potential, making myself a propriety, health and well being..love, laugh, life. My oldest son turns 31, my third son turns 17. Where, did the time go...

September 1st 144lbs
September 2nd 144lbs
September 3rd. 145lbs
Well up a lb but I think it's because I started working out on Friday, I ran on Sat, Sunday and Monday, I today i took my puppy for a long run I rode my bike and took him with me so I'm hoping that the weight has come from a bit of water retention' although I don't feel bloated. Ate on plan, so it has to be the exercise.. my two younger are off to school grade 9 and 12 and my landscaping has started to wine down somewhat, so I'm trying to move more.

Julie, step away from that pretzel' hope all went well with first day back at school...

A'smommy, good on you for getting back on your plan, when you are faced with food temptation think of where you want to be this time next year...you can do this

Julianna, you can do this.

Laura what a great idea for you vacation fun, best of luck.
Thank you for your lovely compliments on my photo, taken by my daughter, she is turning out to be a wonderful photo take outer..

Grateful_love, your post made me so sad for you, to have to go to work daily and face what you and your husband is facing is unquestionable highly stressful..as you say at least at this time you can control what you eat, and meeting your goals will only help in your self esteem... stress makes weight loss more difficult, but you can do this... we are all here for you supporting you every step of the way, :-) You have lost 8lbs....yes 8lbs in a month..I think that's wonderful I'm proud of you, many people in your shoes would have given up but you are facing and losing well done.

Bulldogmom, well done with you full weekend of parties..
Thanks for complements on the photo

Genie, recommit to your plan, you can do this thanks for your kind words on my photo....

Congrats on the drop FitMommyNow, and Niki, well done

Welcome back Kemp you were missed, it great to see your post.

Indiekim, hope all went well with back to school, and you got your walk in.

Welcome to all the new posters, this is a great space for support, looking forward to getting to know you all...read post, stick to your plans..we are all here for you.

State Fair grazing

2 small sugar free vanilla lattes
1 deep fried cheese curd (who can resist those at the fair? Not I!)
1 bite of a deep fried crab cake fritter thingy. They were breaded yes but I had 1 bite.
1 ginormous grilled pork chop on a stick (it was divine!!! )
1 sugar-free lemonade
water

I think I did okay considering the temptations abounding. My older son split with us and went with his girlfriend and their baby, and what he told me he ate, I'm glad I wasn't with him!!! My younger son stayed with me and he had a big chocolate malt with whip and a cherry and I wasn't even tempted, though it sure did look good!

We'll see how the scale reacts, but I think I did okay
Kudos to you for your willpower at the MN state fair.
I have always stayed away from state fairs because I felt like eating was the only type of activity that was available & there were not any healthy options.
Just curious, do they list the carb contents in the foods at these fairs? I was amazed at how much sugar they sometimes put in sauces and marinades of some meats, that make otherwise low carb meats into carb death traps?!

Laura you still being here is motivating me.

Day one is in the books.

I had a 1 pound rib-eye that I blackened on the stove, then sauteed some spinach with a huge pat of butter for dinner .Oh the food is so awesome on this WOE.
I love the first week food wise, I eat unabashedly the first 5 days. I still lose weight and it keeps the induction flu from being so terrible when you can eat so luxuriously.

Know the scale will not move much in the morning but just happy to be heading back into the zone.

Are they lying to me?

Any one have before and after pix they would share to post?
I need some inspiration.
I just cannot wait for the day that I can post a pix of myself at 140. Right now I feel like I am wearing a "fat suit" like Gwyenth Paltrow did in that movie...or at least a "Pregnancy fat suit" with a big fat belly & butt. Even though my measurements are still hourglass, 41-31-41. I cannot get past the fact that I weigh 190 lbs and should be 140 lbs 36-26-36 which is what I was before kids 5 years ago. I know I have a muscular frame, but I feel like people are lying to me when they say I do not look fat! I am only 5'5 and know that 190 makes me "obese" according to the BMI calculations. It just messes with my head when people around me keep telling me that I do not need to be on a diet! Do they just want me to be fat?

I tell people that I have 100 pounds to lose and they say no way. You know your body. I know that I'm way too big at 203 even let alone when I started at 245. You know where your comfortable and what weight feels good. Go with your feelings not what someone else thinks. Beside stop in a crowded place sometime and just look around... we are a fat nation so skinny isn't something we're used to seeing. Go with what you think... we are dealing with you and your body.

Yes to everything you just said! People are suddenly wanting to know how much I've lost, which leads to wanting to know how much I want to lose. I refuse to give them any numbers because they would have said losing close to100 lbs would be too much. But I can see in my pictures just how heavy I had gotten. This past Friday I had my picture taken with a clown and I was much bigger than him. You know its bad when your bigger than the freaking clown... and no, I won't be sharing that picture! LOL

SkinnyB: I wish people told me that. My nick name is "Fatboy" stings a little but oh well I am well FAT. So I use that as motivation.
So I took some before pictures on day 1. For the first time ever doing this WOE. So give me a few months and I will share them with you. Maybe 5 months when I can take the after pictures! LOL. I am a full 80 pounds over weight now. I have been as much as 10 pounds heavier than I am right now before. But at this weight I am miserable. I hope to get this off and keep it off this time. So then they will say "man you look good "Fatboy". Oh well hope that helps?

Thanks y'all! I'm SO SO SO close to that 40lb mark I can taste it! Can't wait to change my avi to the big 4-0!!!

Fitmommy, 3 miles is GREAT! Good job girl!!! I need to bump up the exercise and make it a regular habit. It feels awesome (though yeah there's the aching afterwards!) and I think it really really helps in getting the metabolism going. Plus if I don't exercise I see major flab in my future when I get to goal

LauraDavis you're right. We are a very fat nation. I lived overseas (India) for a year and a half, was roughly the size I am now, and felt HUGE. And it wasn't like everyone there was emaciated skinny like in a UNICEF ad, it's just they aren't as big ("motu" is the word there for fat) as me, or Americans in general. And people there are very blunt in speaking about such things

Here, I tell people I want to drop another 30 to 40 pounds and they think I'm insane yet that would be a perfectly healthy weight for me. In fact another 10 beyond that would be great. I'll know when I get there where I should be.

Kemp, thanks and good job on the loss, each step leads to the next! You've got this, my friend!

You are right about how much bigger we are here in America, even more so the past 20 years. In high school at 145 people said I could stand to lose 10 pounds. When I reached 185 last year (briefly...gained back a bunch ) people said I was wasting away. Um, no one is wasting away if they are still in size 16 pants.

Kim i'm sure you'll hear people telling you to Quit losing the closer you get to your goal! I do All the time! I've heard to go Eat a Cheeseburger, that i'll blow away in a Stiff wind and that if I lose anymore i'll have nothing to fall back on if I get sick! I'm 144 Not 110 lbs people! It gets Very frustrating at times but I Try to let it go in One ear and out the other

I remember my mother telling me how "too damn thin" I was in early 1992. I had quit smoking, joined a gym, was working out a few nights a week after work. I fit into a size 2 for my company xmas party in Dec 1991. I looked terrific, I gotta say. I don't recall my weight exactly at that time but I was around 120 to 125. I found a photo from that visit with my mom and yeah, I was thin but I wasn't SKINNY. I was fit and in shape. I was also 27 years old with 2 kids under age 5. I don't expect to get that body back or even make a size 2 again - 2 more kids and a couple of decades have taken their toll but I am pretty sure I can get my mother griping about me being "too thin" again

Congrats IndieKim thats awesome!!! SkinnyB212, the only thing you need to worry about is how YOU feel. If you feel like you want or need to keep going to achieve your goals then do so! Its hard to always know what others are thinking.. maybe they just want you to be happy and feel as beautiful as they know you already are!

Sep goal: 129
Sep 1 - NW
Sep 2 - 139.5 (restart day)
Sep 3 - 136.5
