hey mthergoose,

I had a really long stall (3 weeks) about 2 months ago and I switched to paleo WOE because that is what I plan on doing after i reach goal, and it worked I ate that way for about a week and a half and then went back to atkins and havent looked back (however I did gain some water weight, but it came right off)... Of course this was just my experience and may not work for others...

MtherGoos yeah I add more veggies and a few nuts. I just discovered smoked almonds... Where have they been all my life.

Thanks for all the ideas! I'm going to weigh on Monday, and see how much I've lost for the month and decide from there. I haven't been stalled, I've been averaging 8-10 pounds per month, but I'm just worried that maybe my body is getting too used to this WOE and I need to shake it up a little.

Ok I'm out of control. I have drank 8 v-8 juices today. I need to figure out what I'm lacking and get it fixed. They say craving tomaotes is a lack of iron but really?

Sorry to be missing in Action..I've been very sick, I've been in hospital since my last post, got home yesterday still not recovered but feeling a lot better...read through the pages..every one is doing so well..

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

Laura! What's up with all the V8????? Do you think maybe it's emotional? Because you're missing your BF so much and frustrated that he's not able to move yet?

So last Sunday I was down 2 pounds to 212.8, then the next day I was up to 214. Today I weighed again, and I'm still at 214.2. It still gives me an 8 pound loss for the month, but nothing in the last week, and that 2 pound bounce didn't come back off. The thing about staying at induction, is that there isn't much left to cut out or tighten up on ! LOL So I guess this next week I'll add in veggies for a couple of weeks and see how I do with that, and then cut them back out and see what happens. I don't know what else to try.

I did have an NSV last night though. It used to be that when my BF wanted to take a walk around our block, by the time we went around the block once, I was completely winded and could not go any further. Last night, we took the dogs for a walk around the block, and we went two full times around the block, and I could have easily gone around it again. And I even enjoyed it! Carrying that 88 pounds LESS around the block makes a HUGE difference. I haven't been exercising, but I'm obviously in much better shape than I was! It felt good to be able to move so much more easily.

Hello everyone !

I haven't posted in a couple of weeks, but I have been reading all of your posts. I hit my goal of wanting to lose 13 pounds this month, so I'm very pleased with that. I've been exercising and still, have not cheated once since July 18 (when I started LC) so I am very proud of myself for this. I'm still in the mindset though that I have to eat until I'm full. I just can't seem to wrap my head around it still that I don't have to eat until I'm in an almost uncomfortable state of fullness. Any tips/suggestions ?

I so wish ya'll could see my DD today! She has a Head Full of Super Duper thick curls! Enough hair for 20 people no joke! She's been Begging for highlights and so we told her when she turned 13 she could get them my SIL is a stylist and highlighted her hair yesterday. She looks Amazing! Her hair was brown with red natural highlights and now she's got Blonde highlights! We straightened it too, just temp straighten with an iron but dang my 13 yr old looks 18 now! Not sure I like that! Lol

Good Morning and thank you for all the prayers during this past week... Although its been a sad week a emotional roller coaster... We have stood stronger then ever in our faith in our Lord and we know that Poppy is in a better place.... So we celebrate his life and looking forward to seeing him again someday.... the memorial service will be Saturday....

Well the scales are stuck at 250... didn't make my September goal, but yet very proud of how far I have come.... Dh is down to 271 and he is content just to be at that this morning considering the week....

Maybe in the morning this body will give me those last 3 lbs I need to see 247 we will just have to wait and see.... Thinking today what I am going to try and do for October as far as weight loss...

question.. do you post a link to the next thread or is it a find and seek game

Happy Dance! This morning that 2 pound bounce I had is gone, and it took another pound with it too! That gives me an 11 pound loss for the month! I'll take it!

What I've learn't about myself this month..is that I really enjoy this way of life..even when sick I'm looking forward to the stews for the colder months..veg and meats of all kindswe have tons of squash, yesterday my husband made an incredible squash soup, he used 35% whipping cream..walking my children to the end of our lane to catch the bush, it,s a good 10 min walk, start cleaning up my gardens..just looking forward to life itself.

Mycattaz, I'm sending you prayers you and you husband has done amazing well under these very sad circumstances..

thank you Trini... yea I think we both did really well for the month... who knows I might wake up tomorrow and the other 3 lbs be gone.... it would be a good way to finish the month and start anew....

I promise as things settle down I will get better about posting and reading all that has been posted.. just alot still going on... and trying to take care of me.... so proud of all you that are pushing forward and doing good... KUTGW

dh did 18th for the month and I did 17 for the month... not bad at all

Congrats on your minimal gain!
Just curious as to how long after drinking alcohol your body goes back into ketosis & you start seeing losses. I have found that if I drink a couple drinks on special occasions (vodka & diet red bull - 2g carbs) or Prosecco (4g carbs) it takes me at least 3 days to start losing.
