Hello all, i'm sunny (NOT) orlando, fl, at a confereence about heart failure. Ugh....i won't be outside for two entire day!! Bleh.
And it is FREEZING in here! And i'm at the Peabody, the famous hotel wheee ducks parade through the lobby twice a day. And i can't se them cause i'm working working. Oh well!!!
I have a scale in my bathroom, but i'm NOT stepping on it!!! Heee
I forgot to say that i'm thinking of mcattaz today.....wishing you all good things.

Morning! My phones messing up so I can't copy and paste my monthly weights!
I'm Up again this morning! Grrrr! 147.6! I guess there was more hidden sugars and carbs in that chinese then I tho
ught! Makes me worry about how i'm going to be able to Maintain my weight loss since it looks like i'm Really sensitive to carbs/sugars etc! Back at it today though because I Refuse to give up!!

Congrats to everyone losing and prayers for those of you struggling..

So I have been creeping along slowly, losing but slowly... I decided to step it up a little and stopped the dairy( HWC in coffee, cheese) and cut down on my bacon(every morn with eggs) and guess what I lost 2 lbs.

I am down to almost no carbs everyday.. why am i so sensitive to them ... its really hard to eat this way.. but cant argue with 2 lbs.. right?

I'm right there with then. I've been gaining since Saturday. Not sure how 2 slices of pizza could still be effecting me or if its TOM. So frustrating but I refuse to give up too!

Really?! I've injured my foot and haven't been on the treadmill in 4 days. My 5k is in less than 2 weeks so I've been weighing my options. Rest up and continue to gain or just push through. I couldn't stand it anymore and jumped back on the treadmill.

D: bbq hamburger - took the meat out need to cook it!

I will lose those 2 pounds and then some! in a biggest loser contest. Lost 3.4 in one week don't want to be a + on the chart on the wall. aye! Stay focused everyone.

I know it is late in the month, but I just found this and figured I might as well jump in, can always use the inspiration from others.

I just started induction on the 10th at round about 238.5 (I was away from home when I made the final decision to do this). Goal for Sept is sub 230 ...

Sept 10 - 238.5
Sept 14 - 236
Sept 20 - 232.5

I am sorry I don't have time to address all of you... I am down another pound... that is the good news.. the bad news is that today Poppy will be moving to the hospice part of the hospital where in the morning they will be moving life support... I am so broken inside... trying to stay strong for the family and for my husband.. Him and his dad were always close, they were life best friends did everything together...

we are not eating like we are suppose to, meaning that we are not eating enough.... we are staying right on plan as far as food wise.. but it seems time is flying and before we know its its 3pm and we have not eating and have not desire to eat.... we are lucky if we are getting in 500 calories aday at this point. its just been a emotion roller coaster the past 6 days.... last night I broke down and made my husband a high protein drink... he is not wanting to eat at all.... its not on plan because it has peanut butter in it... but its like 60 grams of protein before the peanut butter.... but you have to realize he is not eating... he had to get something in him.. I will try to update later.. internet is not working right the past few days....

mycattaz, I'm so sorry for what you and your dh are going through. I'm sending prayers your way. Don't fret over the food choices right now. It is more important that your dh eat something so what you did sounds good to me.

Going back to my original food plan. Back to when my food choices where limited to 3 meats and 2 veggies. No dairy, no coffee, and no extras except for the occasional mios. At some point in my life, I WILL see 189.

Mycattaz, I am so very sorry to read about your father in law, and your dead husband..so very sad you are a strong woman and in all this staying with you plan, I think you are doing really well, send prayers for you, your husband and your father in law, and family..may god give you strenght

Hi all --
mycattaz - my sympathies too. I am sad for your family.

I am back from Orlando - it rained every minute I was there- last night i stayed up until 2:30 writing, then had to get up at 5:15 to catch the plane. And now I'm at work, and it's busy! Have to write tonight, too.

It was easy easy easy to stay on track. The only think i could eat at the breakfast bars (free and all over the hotel -- i was covering a heart failure conference) was cream cheese, but I didn't eat it. Lunch Monday and Tuesday was boxed lunches sandwiches, and i had chicken and cheese monday and turkey and cheese tuesday- just threw the bread away! i even got extra innards for dinner in my hotel room. So the sodium count was pretty up there, but we'll see tomorrow. last nght i took a walk and bought some boiled shrimp, so that was a nice treat. Oh, and some wine. yay.

OH AND THE BEST PART OF THE CONFERENCE -- i was talking to an investigator about left ventricle assist devices-- there are two -- and he was telling me that one was being used pretty much only in smaller people, mostly small women, and he said, "Like you!" I was so happy I almost hugged him! heeeee

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.
Hey! You don't have to drink all that water!

I can feel the cramps coming on. That's the worst part. PMS. lol. trying to stick to the diet. didn't do my work out last night again but tonight for sure. I was just too tired and today my body actually feels good so right back to working out I go. I'm still doing my workout at curves everyday though.

Mycat - It sucks when life gives a left hook. And one that we just can't change. Hugs to you and your husband. What strength you are both having sticking to your new way of eating. No one judges during these tough times. Do what you can and just be the support your hubby and family needs and we will be support for you.

thank you everyone... I just realized we both are even on the weight loss.. 17 lbs each and tomorrow will be 2 weeks.. not bad at all.... Dh did each some roast tonight... another bad day with the emotional rollercoaster at the hospital.... Trying to stay strong for everyone and grieve at the same time.. its not only emotional but getting physical draining... if I cry one more time my eyes are going to be closed shut...

tomorrow is the day to pull life support... We know he is not there. its just a shell at this point and I pray that when we pull life support that Poppy goes quickly.. at first they were saying a hour to 8 hours then 1 day to 3 days...now the doctor says could be up to 2 weeks....

Dh is staying with mom tonight... and I was over there till just alittle bit ago... I can tell he wanted me to stay, but I am so dead tired.. I just want to go to bed and sleep till morning and pray that my body gets a good night rest... I know I am rambling...so sorry...

will post in the morning... It sure would be nice to hit 249 in the morning
