Bulldog I have been at this game for way to long... People that are new to Atkins need to learn that if you are doing everything right you have got to lose.. and its a balance kinda.. you lose weight for alittle bit and then you will not lose weight, but you will lose inches... but as long as you are in Ketosis your body is burning your fat for energy.... so you are always losing fat....

214 finally. No sleep- 2 hour interrupted nap and 2.5 over night, and no exercise other than chasing a toddler around the playground and up the steps and down the slides for 30 min yesterday. Felt the heart rate!

I tried a new recipe yesterday. So I'm not completely surprised there was a gain. Yesterday was about too much salt, not enough water, no exercise, etc. But I'm not in a rush so no worries. I do have a feeling that Sept is going to be one of those months where I just don't lose much. And that's okay too.

Lost 2 more lbs this morning.... that is 12 lbs gone in 10 days... can't complain here... I am just 8 lbs away from my september goal... I didn't exercise yesterday at all.. took the day off... still did not help with my knee pain.. my legs still bothered me all night long.. pain meds help get me to sleep but I am up hurting by 3 am... getting up and down is the worst... they are popping like crazy... I sure hope losing this weight helps me out....




WTG! 1moregin you are almost to your goal... how exciting!

Bulldog liking your positive attitude.... most times when people put on weight its the sodium that they eaten.... Me and Dh are still talking about his big gain.... trying to make him understand... He said no more hot dogs for him... I said its ok..if you want a hot dog its meat....no carbs...eat it... just don't weigh yourself for a few days and drink plenty of water.....

Goodmorning Trinigirl I sure wish I had some of your apples... I love to cook them down and make apple butter.... I usually give it all away... but love the idea of making my own..

You are so close to goal... that it gets harder and harder to lose weight.. most have to take up exercising and diet to really push toward that goal... I would figure out how many calories you need right now... and don't go over that calorie restriction for a few weeks and see if that helps.... still it low carb, but focus more on lean protein and lots of water.... hang in there you will make it

My dh is still at 282... just don't want to go away.... he has been drinking alot of those water with the sugar free flavor packs... so he is going to leave them off for a week and see if that helps.... I am drinking sf power aid and I have had no problem with them... mainly I am drinking them because they make me feel good..... I sure hope he has a big drop in weight in the morning.. cause he is getting really upset with all of this

When I do not feel like working out, I just think of your posts & all the workouts you do and that gets me going!
Just curious, how long do you work out for daily?
Day or evening workout?
What do you eat after your workout?
Do you wait 1/2 hour after you workout?

I just need some help since I think I have reached a plateau despite working out daily for 45 minutes with a combo of jogging or p90x.
Why is the weight just not falling off?

I've been dealing with my beautiful town flooding and haven't been paying attention at all to what I eat or my weight. While my house is fine (thankfully), I have spent time since Wednesday night shoveling out mud, helping dig trenches, tearing out carpets, and cleaning up so much water. Plus, my kids' school is shut down indefinitely. But, I hope to be back tomorrow. I know I need to take care of myself too.

Julianna my thoughts and prayers are with you and your town. Flooding is awful to deal with. Think of the bright side.... all that exercise you're getting shoveling and pulling carpets. That is not easy work.

Just came across this group. Do you have monthly challenges? I am leaving for a ladies retreat this weekend and want to re-start Atkins Induction tomorrow. I was going to wait til I got home but that is what I always do = find an excuse to wait. I was very successful about 4 years ago on the Atkins diet. Lost 30 lbs in a short time. Then I had knee problems resulting in replacments in both. Doing great now and ready to get back on track. I have let the weight creep back and I am now right back where I started. This is nice to be able to share victories and set backs. Looking forward to announcing that I lost a pound or two even after the retreat which serves the most awesome cinnamon buns.....which I promised myself I will not indulge.
