Mycattaz a word of caution... I started this WOE with the ex boyfriend. I cleaned out the fridge, freezers and pantry. Gave away hundreds of dollars of food. Less than a month later I had to re-buy it all when he decided this diet wasn't for him. So make sure he's gonna stick to it or be prepared to shell out the bucks.

Gettin closer to onederland!

I am not worried about it, I gave it all to my sister in law and I know they needed it... and we have tons of food left that we can eat now

I remember the first time my daughter went out with friends she was almost 15, I cried like a baby. My son never went out much so I always had him around... Letting go is never easy, Me and my daughter and son just took a must needed road trip back in June. we spent 4 days together, I so enjoyed it... wish I had more times like that.

I had to peek at the scales... it was 262 I did alittle washing and straighten and then went back to bed.. when I woke up I had to peed again and this time it was 261 so glad I got on the scales again...... 6 lbs down in 6 days... not bad...

I guess no loss is better than a gain. I really really just want to get as far away from 200 as I can. Today is a running day so hopefully I see a loss tomorrow. I did walk yesterday but maybe my body is getting to the point that it needs to be pushed daily.

Hang in there Bulldogmom, if you are doing everything that you need to do, then the weight will come off... have you consider doing the egg fast thingy... I was looking for it the other day and could not find it... but they say it will jump start your weight loss

Thanks Mycattaz! I tried the meat and egg fast for a couple of weeks. It wasn't bad but it didn't make that much of a difference in how fast I lost. My issue is that I started eating cheese again (which can stall me) and I think that its time to ramp up my exercises. Or it could just be my body readjusting itself. In July I only lost about 2 lbs even though I was eating the same things that I had eaten in June and lost almost 7 lbs. Your doing awesome with your exercises!

Starrhae I hate it when the scales just bounce up and down... go down a few pounds then up a pound... like a yo-yo effect.... One thing for sure if you stick with it, it will eventually come off... hang in there

9/11/13: 221.2 ugh!

Well, I didn't give up did my workout video again last night. day 2 level 1. Killing me today. Even worked out at gym today. I gotta get this under control. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Eat mostly protein w/fat and still gain. Will keep on keepin on though. I know I can do it. I need to boil some eggs up for a quick go to food. hmm, what else? any suggestions. Would love to see menus.

B: 1 brat coffee w/hwc - coffee has to go this week. I think that's one of my problems.
S: found a low carb yogurt - expires today. will eat this. I hate throwing away food!!!
L: chicken patty with salad
D: more salad. - yes I know it seems like lots of salads but it's worked for me in the past, fills me up, and its just lettuce, broccoli slaw, bacon bits and cucumber with ranch. Usually eat with a protein tonight will probably be the ribs I took out or chicken wings. Ohh both sound so good right now.

Good morning losers!!

Well, I made the mistake of jumping on the scale today, even though I am still waiting for Tom, that bugger, to show up.

So count me among those of you that are bouncing up and down right now.

Start day Sept 3: 209.5
September 4: 208.5
September 5: 207.5
September 6: 206.5
September 7: 205
September 8: 204.5
September 9: 203.5
September 10: DNW
September 11: 204.5

Bummer. Oh well. I know it's only temporary. I'm on day nine today. So far no cheats. I did eat a bit too much meat the other day I think and calories have been creeping up there with all the fat I'm eating, but I'm pretty sure this is just TOM water and not a real gain. Right? Right? ....I need some reassurance here, ladies.

Why did I reinduct when TOM was due? Duh?! Doesn't look like I will see the 13.5 lb loss I did on my last go around. Oh well - it's not a race.

Luveliz - don't get discouraged!! The weight training will also cause you to hold water to repair/build muscle. I think most people working out see slower losses - but your body will look amazing by the time you reach goal.

I'm bad, I need to see those steady losses to stay strong, so I save the exercise until I'm closer to goal, aside from cardio stuff like walking, hiking and cycling. My fragile ego can't take the scale gains that happen when working out with weights. Pathetic, huh?

You're all doing great. Stay strong today . . . she tells herself.

What's on your menu?

I'm off to make my morning bacon/eggs. Probably left over steak and salad for lunch and a roast chicken for dinner, maybe with roasted cauliflower.

you are right.. its Tom.. you can put on weight as early as a few days start and hold on to it for a few days after... most of the time, but not always .... Keep doing what you are doing and when Tom is over you are going to have a big WHOOSH!

Good Morning Everyone! I'm still trudging along and getting little losses as I go, but I'm thankful for each one! I use a weight loss app on my phone that I just log my weight into each day and it shows me my BMI, how much I've lost, and how much more I have to lose. I have to say, it feels good to see that my BMI has gone from 53 to 38 and to see that I have just 68 more pounds to lose. I know 68 pounds is a LOT, but it sounds so much more doable than the 150 that I started off with in February.

Laura, I'm glad you liked it! That's very similar to how I made it, but instead of the peach mango salsa, I used cheese. So mine was a mashed up avocado, a couple of pieces of bacon crumbled up, some mayo and some shredded cheese. So so good! And I don't usually eat avocado, so it feels like I'm cheating when I'm eating it. I could easily eat this every day!

Laura, fingers and toes crossed that you're jumping into Onederland any minute now!!! I KNOW you are and I'm so excited for you!

Shelly, nice drop! Only one more pound this month to reach goal!

mycattaz, 6 pounds in 6 days is GREAT!!! You're rocking the plan. And you keep posting a lot! We all love reading it, and I know the more time I spend on the boards, the easier it is for me to keep on track.

BulldogMom, you're doing so great! I know my body often stops losing, then it will start up again. It's just a cycle that it goes through, but as long as I stay on plan, it does start coming off again. Sometimes I do switch to just eggs and beef for a week or two to try and speed things along, or to keep me from retaining water. I LOVE my bacon, but I know it can make me retain water.

1moregin, you are doing AMAZING! Great inspiration!

Trini, how is your week going?

Starrhae, I no longer have TOM either, but my body definitely cycles like it does. I'll have good losses usually just one week a month, which would be the week before TOM would normally come, and then I will retain water and be really hungry the next week, as though I was going through TOM, so I definitely believe my body is behaving as though it's still here.

Liz, it could just be that you're retaining water from your tough workouts. I would give it some time before you start changing anything around.

I wish I could say I don't miss TOM, lol I still get his visit like clockwork and I am 47 next month.. My kids are almost all gone (last one is 15) and I have grandbabies... I wish as soon as you become a grandparent your TOM stops automatically, because you don't need to have anymore kids you can just spoil the grandbabies... but then if my wishes came true like that we would all be skinny and healthy right now..LOL

Ticker I am 45 and still getting my same, regular visits from Tom. I'm showing other signs of perimenopause (which my doc warns can last years ) so I'm hoping I'll be able to kick Tom out the door soon.

I'm also hoping I can chalk my grumpies up to pre-menopause too and don't have to accept that I am just a beotch.

I am 52 and I am over all of that... it came and left quickly... within about a year... but I still have times of the month when my feet swell like crazy.. and I feel like I am holding on to water....
