Bulldog and Princess, I also wish that the scale jumping around counted as exercise. Ha. I think we would all be very lean. :-)

mycattaz, I'm happy that you're here and you're posting. You have a great testimony, and I enjoy reading your posts. i'm DYING to get my dear hubs started on low carb, but things are really stressful in our house right now, and he's an emotional eater. Just adding the "stress" of the thought of no more cereal in the morning does him in. He would do so well with it, but we've gotta find a better balance, first.

Lol@ the peanut butter spoon! I have done this, too!

Have a good day, everyone. I'm trying my darnedest to stay positive.

shout outs

finally at a pc---

mycat- i used sf powerade for the same reason, till your salts and electrolytes stabilize. good job on the biking exercise... 1 step forward will get you there...

princessmommy- nice run! wish my knees could take it, so i have to cycle. theres a freedom in being out there running or cycling in the elements. i prefer evening. try running in the grass at a park?

genie- whose stronger? you or your TOM? mind over matter. power through it! you got this!

trini- always inspiring, you are a good heart, responding and motivating. thanks for the recognition. exercise is a must. or else i lose focus.

laura- chanting 199.99999, 199.99999 for you!!!

bulldogmom- 6 weeks to make or break a habit. just give it 6 weeks. youll start to miss it.

my friend said she just doesnt have time to exercise. i asked what her favorite TV shows are, she told me about 2 hours worth almost daily. i said- then you have time. she said what? and miss her shows- i said, if thats your priority- watch TV, if youre more important than what happens on some fictional program- then tune out and get moving. DVR it, record it, watch it later... when youre recovering from a great workout.

heads up- i am planning an awesome weekend the 28th-1st.my love comes to visit... i am going to go out saturday and sunday, eating on plan, but having beverages, i am sure there will be a jump, but i will still make time for exercise.

im sure ill be whining to you all!!!

until then... keep up the good work everyone.

Good morning losers!! Hope everyone is doing well.

I'm trying not to be grumpy this morning - my TOM is due tomorrow and I can tell I am retaining water like crazy. So I'm avoiding the scales today because I know I'd see a jump. Typically it's 2lbs for me when I'm waiting for that bugger Tom to show up, and I don't want to see that number today.

I also ate too much yesterday. No cheats, but too much meat. I had to work late, late, late so I had some leftover supper around midnight. Not a good plan. I try not to eat after dinner if possible. Two high calorie days and Tom = bad news on the scales.

I'll probably wait to weigh again until Thurs or Fri - if I can stand it. I'm a daily weigher.

Some of you guys are doing great with your exercise! Way to go. I want to try and get into running, too, PrincessMommy. I haven't had good luck sticking to it in the past.

I do enjoy hiking and cycling a lot. Weights, I confess I avoid until I'm closer to goal as I cannot lose weight and lift weights at the same time. So then I get bummed out about how hard I'm working and not seeing a drop.

Mycattaz - nice little whoosh for you, despite the sleep-walking peanut butter incident. I'd know for sure if I'd done that because the PB jar would be empty. PB is a trigger for me and I can't stop at one spoonful.

Stay strong today, everyone! (That's mostly for me - Tom makes me weak. )

Grateful Love, you are doing so awesome! I was LCing for about 3 months before dh decided to change his habits. Granted he went to a low fat diet, but he's having success with it so that's good. It reminds me of that poem, Jack Sprat could eat no fat and his wife could eat no lean. LOL

Shelly, WTG on the exercise! Getting started is the hardest part but once its done, you get a feeling of euphoria.

1moregin, exercise became more of a stress reliever than anything. I started walking on the treadmill everyday beginning in March and then turned to a walking/jogging routine in July. I'm with you, there's always time for exercise. Even if someone just walks in place during the commercials of a tv show.

Mycattaz, you and your dh are doing great!

Kaillean, we all have our off days of eating a little too much. But you already know that the key is to jump right back on the wagon. You're doing great though!

Awesome job on the weight loss everybody!

I am glad to hear its not only me.... Yea peanut butter I have always loved and eaten right out of the jar.... never have been a sleepwalker, but how else can I explain the spoon on my table... on a night I have a dream I ate peanut butter... hey but at least it was just a spoon sitting there not a empty jar

feeling alot better today.. still trying to get a headache, but I will hold off a bit and see if it goes away.... Me and my husband made the decision today to get rid of all the carbs in our house... so I am bagging up food and giving it away today.... and making room for more meat

Good for you!! I did that last time and it helped a LOT not to have those foods tempting me in the house.

This time, I can't. I have two kids and a teenage niece. I've stopped buying cookies and such -- telling them they have to have their treats on a trip out with Dad.

But I can't totally take away their bread, potatoes and pasta. So it's there. And I have to COOK it! Ah well - I'm trying to go as low carb for them as I can. They're both skinny minis (so was I at that age - until puberty) and finicky eaters too.

I wish I could toss the lot of it!! Enjoy!

Ok, so I did day1 level1 of 30 day shred video. Ouchy!! i'm stiff and I also work out everyday. It's amazing the different muscles you use doing different workouts. I know you are supposed to stick to it but I might do my walking video tonight and switch off this week between both of them. Can't be so sore everyday. But hope this works.

I just realized that I might be eating too much protein. Almost all my meals are protein and some fatty proteins but i'm not sure of the ratios. Wonder if this is why I might not be losing as fast. Will have to mix it up a bit. Besides, i'm over meat this week. Back to eggs and salads.

B: 2 eggs
S: cucumber and string cheese
L: salad: lettuce, cucumber, broccoli slaw and bacon bits with ranch and a chicken patty (not breaded)
S: chicken salad with mayo
D: more salad

Kaillean that is fine... I know how you feel, don't want anything that is going to tempt me right now..... its funny, I have been trying to get DH to do this diet forever and everytime he tried it, he complan... I would try making it easier on him by giving him some nuts and telling him not to eat them all at one time and he would finish a can off... this time is different....I told him nothing but meat cheese and eggs for two weeks... and we have stuck to it. the other night after leaving church we were not even hungry.. he was shocked.... and just alittle while ago he asked if he had eaten anything today... and then he realized that he has not been very hungry, even the night time snacking has left... He is in total shock.. but the good news is he is not complaining this time, but eager to keep on with the diet..... love being in Ketosis...
