Kudos to the people who don't need to exercise for their losses. But I need it for sure and the scale reflects that. I'm not fretting over the gain though because I needed a day off yesterday and the extra water weight will come off again. I did get my run in for today so I feel better already.

Good morning losers! Happy Monday. Hope you are all feeling strong and ready for another week of living the LC life.

PrincessMommy - I remember being close to my goal last time and bouncing up and down, up and down and getting frustrated. Hang in there - it does go slower as you get closer to goal and fluid retention seems to play a larger role. Don't worry - you know you didn't chow down on 3500 HC calories - so it can not possibly be a "real" gain.

I was worried I'd see a jump this morning after realizing I ate about 2500 cals yesterday with my hollandaise, etc. I do generally try to stay under 2000, but grant myself a little extra leeway during induction. I guess the high fat content helped balance the calories (74% yesterday).

Start day Sept 3: 209.5
September 4: 208.5
September 5: 207.5
September 6: 206.5
September 7: 205
September 8: 204.5
September 9: 203.5

So what's on the menu for today everyone? I'm off to make my brekky (bacon/eggs) and will have chicken wings and salad for lunch. Yummy.

Princessmommy, I don't like exercising in the heat either. I'm one of those that will run on the treadmill with the a/c on, ceiling fan on high and floor fan on high too. LOL But I have to do it or my losses are so slow.

1moregin, you're doing awesome! I do miss the exercise and feel guilty when I don't get it in. I broke my own rule of getting 30 minutes in even if it means crawling.

Laura, Congrats on losing 45 lbs! Its going to be a week long celebration because you're knocking on onederland's door!

Kaillean, you are doing awesome! You are so close to onederland!

I usually post at work on break or early in the morning. It's easier...so i'm MIA on weekends. LOL This weekend was bday parties etc. Swayed off low carb a little. Not too worried since I'm starting a contest next Monday at the gym however, I don't want to gain 10 before starting. Weighed and measured today so this is my starting stats. No more going eating what I want. BBQ up some brats yesterday and finishing up my carne asada.

B: 1 brat coffee with hwc
L: carne asada with low carb tortilla and cheese
D: not sure yet.

one thing I noticed is the whole weekend I wasn't really hungry. Which usually leads to picking at foods, but I didn't eat breakfast and barely wanted lunch. Can be good and can be bad. But trying to eat when hungry not just to eat. Starting my new workout tapes tonight. Will report back tomorrow. LOL Good luck everyone!

Hi everyone! I'm caught with all the posts I've missed. I went out of town for my nephews birthday part. I stayed far away from the cake. :-) I've been on plan the last few days, but my scale is fighting with me at the moment.

DH is a huge football plan.. yesterday, I stopped at the wing place to see the end of the Bill's game.. I ordered butter garlic chicken wings..and I gave them back to the waiter as soon as I realized that they have some kind of butter garlic "sauce" instead of just butter and garlic. I was sad, but the guy was nice about it.. and I went on my merry little way without them. I was really REALLY proud of myself for not giving in. My husband said it wouldn't hurt *that* much...but I stayed determined (this time, ugggh.)

9/9-235.5
9/8 236.0
9/7-DNW (but ate wayyy too many nuts in lieu of cake)
9/6-233.8 (I feel like I'm walking through peanut butter.)
9/5- 234.5
9/4-Didn't weigh
9/3-235

Hi Everyone !

The Monday workday is over. yaaa !!!!

Well, after reading some posts yesterday regarding how some of you weigh everyday to keep yourselves in check, I decided to weigh this a.m. before work - not sticking to my once a week on Thursdays, which I am finding the hardest goal for me. Anyway, no loss. . I should've waited until Thursday. Then, this put me in not so great mood today. I did exercise Saturday and yesterday, I did eat LC all weekend. Both times exercising I did a half hour videotape, then 8 minutes on the bike. This is a big accomplishment for me Just as I've always felt previously, the scale has this creepy way of determining my mood for the day. So, now that I'm in somewhat of a better mood, I'm going to hang tough until Thursday and weigh then.......and count that weight.

1moregin - I really do hope I get to the point you are at where you actually miss exercising when you don't do it. As previously mentioned to you, your stats are just amazing !!!!!!!!

Thanks, Shelly. I was really proud of myself. My weight was up today, maybe TOM? I'm not sure.. I didn't have anything quick and low carb in stock, so this morning it took a LOT of will power to not go to the pretzels in the pantry.

I went grocery shopping and got eggs, a big hickory farms sausage stick, and some pecans. Waiting on pay day sucks. I'll spruce up the eggs though.. and I have spaghetti squash frozen..so I COULD make that up..but I'm trying really hard to do meat and eggs until I get all of those darn cocoa almonds out of my system and I get below 235 again.

I think as long as you don't have a ton of protein it's all good. I've lost a lb on as much as 3500 cal before. Almost at 3000 today and still kinda hungry!

cb83 You are man! I guess you know that already. Not to undermine all your hard work, but generally men can get away with more calories than us women. My husband loses way faster than me even when he cheats.

I've had the odd super high calorie day and I can get away with it once in a blue moon as long as it's mostly fat. I cannot do that all the time or I will gain for sure. My first go around keeping my cals between 15-1800 seemed to be my sweet spot for steady losses.

For those times I am extra hungry or battling cravings I will go up as high as 2200 or so and having something fatty or a home made treat. But it has to be a rare thing. And when I'm around 200 I can eat a lot more than when I get down closer to my goal, that's for sure.

Once I get around 175 lbs I really have to keep a closer eye on calories and fat totals. I don't worry TOO much about protein. It's sort of self-limiting. I can only eat so much meat before I get super full.

Hi all, checking in. It's been really hard this last week, a close friend is going through a terrible tragedy, and I have been doing my best to support them. It's been really sad, however, I have been good with food, sticking to my LC foods, but not necessarily counting my carbs or keeping track super well.
It's been good in a way to know I can deal with this level of stress now without diving into a gallon of ice cream or binge eating at night.
Scale is the same, 195, measurements are the same, even though I feel like my belly's gone down a bit, maybe in areas that I'm not measuring? I am just glad for not gaining during this time.
I'd love to be in the 180's by the end of the month, but I will take any loss at all considering the circumstances.

In general, it looks like everyone here is doing a great job, and it is inspiring to see folks sticking it out and having it pay off. I hope I can count myself among you at some point!

Cb83 and Kaillean you are both so dedicated to your way of eating counting calories and low carbs.. I know that now I'm so close to my ideal weight that I have to watch the amount I eat..when I first started at easter I would eat a lot of protein, and a big salad, now I eat far less but It also takes less to full me up..I still struggle like us all with hungry days and craving hunger, but that a whole other post
Kaillean, what a yummy looking lunch..

Tiara, I hear you on the scale mood, now I know that my body reflex everything I now am bouncy up and down, but I n longer want to be in denial about the truth regarding how much I weigh, and so the scale is now apart of my new healthy lifestyle, even if at times it get me down..I just dust it off and say well you got some work to do tofay you are doing really well.

Did it... had an awesome day yesterday all healthy foods and foods I enjoyed eating. Good plans for today as well so hopefully the scales will show a favourable result tomorrow. I think I may have put 1lb back on but it's TOM so not overly concerned - will let you know tomorrow!

thank you, even though I have been close to the same weight now for about two years, I am proud of that. with my knees being so bad I ride one of those stationary bikes for exercise, its the one you sit in front of your chair and ride... I put mine in front of my swing on my back porch and I will get out there and ride and its peaceful. I started out about a month ago doing 500 peddles.. I dont' have a counter on it, but I am going to look into one that does... and I worked up to 2,000 a day and did that until we went on vacation. Sunday I only did 1,000 because of church. we have Sunday morning and night services. but yesterday I did 3,000 today I will go back to 2,000 a day for a while I paid for the 3,000 with alot of pain last night and jumpy legs.... not much sleep but I am going to work on the 2,000 until Saturday and then I am going to bump it up to 2500 for a while and see how I do... I did have a whoosh last night.. always motivating... My husband is doing great.. sticking with it... and he has lost about 8 lbs... since last thursday I am very proud of him and he is excited about it, so it makes all this so much easier.....

ticker I thought about you yesterday, I was sitting on my back porch praying and all of a sudden it hit me that I had a dream about eating a spoon ful of peanut butter, but after I came in from outside there was a spoon sitting on my table by my chair.. Surely I didn't ... never been know to sleep/walk/eat but I thought about that spoon all day long and wonder if I truly did
