AMAZING LOW CARB CHOCOLATE SMOOTHIE

I was tired of eating bacon & eggs for breakfast, so searched far & wine for a low carb protein shake I could make. The Atkins shakes are fine on-the-go, but they lack that thick texture & do not fill me up. Well Target has amazing product "Whey Protein Powder" which has only 5g carbs & 25g of protein in both chocolate & vanilla flavors. Here is the recipe I make:

1 scoop Target brand Whey Protein Powder (chocolate) 5g carbs
1 cup Silk Pure Almond Milk Vanilla flavor Unsweetened - 1g carbs
1/2 cup of ice
TOTAL = 6g carbs

....simply delicious!!!

I did my own variation last night...vanilla protein powder with a tbsp of macadamia nut oil and a few drops of banana extract. Yum!!

I've been meaning to try something similar. That silk almond milk is 0 carbs if you subtract the fiber! You can also buy whey protein isolate that is 0 carbs, which is what I'm planning on. I'm probably going to add silk and a little hwc to add some fat!

EAS 100% whey is a good protein powder choice.
130 cal, 3 carbs, 23 g protein, 1.5 g fat. I must add fat to it to get my quantities correct, but not everyone does it that way. I like adding 1/3 coconut milk from the can to it (1/3 cup is 140 cal 14 fat, 3 carbs, 1 protein). I don't use it everyday, but it's handy.
