First few days of Induction I eat like Pig...

No offense to pigs, actually.

It seems the first couple days that I am on Induction I sort of overdo it. It seems to take me that long for the satiety to kick in. Perhaps it's that fact that I deprived myself of all these delicious foods and now that I can have them, I am like "Woo-hoo!"

I'm not complaining....Just noticing a trend.

I did the same thing and I think it's the cravings. Fortunately, as we start edging into the end of the week and into the 2nd week, that goes away.

A hog would have looked at me sideways when he saw my plates in the beginning lol.

It happens, and it's fine.
We're adjusting to eating protein and fat instead of those quick-digesting carbs.

You've done this before, so you know that your appetite will calm down once your body figures out what its new fuel is.
We have to be mindful of our portions, and we need to eat to satisfaction and not beyond once we get those first days behind us. But I really think the first days' purpose is to adjust and to get our organs used to running on fat instead of carbs.

Enjoy your delicious foods--- and isn't it great that we get them through all of the phases of our way of eating? Yay cheese!

Me too.
I think everyone does this.
My cravings are running full tilt when I am detoxing from wheat and sugar.
The first few days I always allow myself enough to be satisfied .
Restricting calories the first week is a recipe for disaster.

I never thought about it as replacing a craving for carbs by eating so much. I have really been eating too much salt, but I try to balance it with a lot of water....

Finally, Finally Finally! Yesterday was Day #5 and I wasn't ravenous all day. Funny enough I lost a pound today AND started my TOM.

Bacon and deviled eggs were my saving grace through the first few days! I cant imagine coupling carb detox with my TOM. Good for you! I know cocoa is controversial during induction, but some choc covered bacon may help

Pulchritudinous (love that name!) - that's a scathingly brilliant idea! How about bacon dipped in coconut oil mixed with cocoa? Mmmmmmm.....

5 months of induction and I have almost never had my appetite go down. It's hard for me to stay under 2k cal, I have been as high as 3400. 1500 is almost impossible for me.
