Trying bullet proof coffee

I usually barely have time for breakfast in the mornings... I like sleep too much lol. So I usually wind up at McDonald's for breakdfast, but after having kettle corn last night (shame) I want to attempt to be good.

So I made a cup of coffee with my keurig, melted coconut oil and a tablespoon of butter and stirred it in with some stevia.

It's not bad. I don't normally do coffee, but heaven knows I need the caffeine when I have to be up at 5... But it's not bad. I can tolerate it, and speaking as someone who likes coffee with her cream and sugar, it's a surprise.

Whether the cup of coffee will keep me sated until lunch... Will report back.

No whc, so just the butter and oil (can we have whc on induction?)

But hey, it may make mornings easier lol

Lots of folks use HWC in their b-proof coffee.
Assuming whc is a typo.
I sometimes do, alternately with butter.
I think it's ok induction as long as you keep within limits.
Always a good idea to measure rather than just splash into cup as it's easy to over do.

It was a typo, yay auto correct.

Question though. So I drank the coffee and I feel sated, but does if make your stomach queasy when you first try it? Not sure if it was that on top of the train, but I feel like its making my stomach turn cause I haven't had that much fat really in a while. Does it take some getting used too?

I had the same problem the first time I had the coconut oil, it does take your body a little while to get used to it.

Try 1tsp of coconut oil and work your way up to tablespoon over a couple of weeks to give your tummy a chance to adjust

It never made my stomach queasy, but I eat olive oil a lot, and am not shy with the fats.

I don't necessarily make the "bulletproof coffee" version (using certain coffee, etc.) - but just drink a high fat coffee.

I used a tablespoon of coco oil and a tablespoon of butter right off the bat. It never made me feel queasy, but it did, um, go through me rather quickly. LOL TMI, sorry!

Perhaps I should have started in smaller amounts. LOL

What's that?

Ok, yes, I am new back on Atkins, and find that I'm pretty ignorant about some of the new things (new to me, that is) . . . so what is WHC and what is bullet proof coffee? Sounds interesting!!

Hwc is heavy whipping cream, 0 carbs but should be used sparingly. BPC is coffee whipped with a hand blender w coconut and butter.

HWC does have some carbs, at least the stuff we have down here does. accordin to the bulletproof site you are supposed to blend the whole concotion in a blender. . it gives it a cappuccino like froth and is supposed to cut that greasy overload. i plan on buying a blender today and giving it a go myself
