July Challenge!!
 
It's July! Hard to believe but I have now finished 6 months with 49 lbs lost. I had hoped to hit the 50 lb milestone in June, but will push for it this month!

Hope to see all our returning June Challengers and newcomers! Let's have a great LC July! :jumpjoy::jumpjoy::jumpjoy:

hi good morning everyone....

im doing fine, last month my weight continue to jump up and down but it stayed in the 230's so i know that it's not from anything that i'm doing... it's just my bodies way of balancing water.

i'm back at the pool 3 times a week so far. the weather here in NY is so unpredictable that we dont know from day to day if it's going yo rain or not.

Well car is dropped off at the dealership for the body work! Yay! Loaner car is a Brand new Hyundai santa fe! Geez people you trust me with a Brand new car!? LOL! Very nice ride but I like my Tucson better. Hopefully we'll get our car back before we go on vacation!

Hello everyone and welcome to JULY!!!!
Thanks everyone for your kind inquiries re: my dad. He is home now, and I go to see him tonight. Because of a bed sore, which sounds fairly harmless but which can be lethal, he has to be turned on his side every two hours, so that's what I'll be doing overnight -- then back to work in the morning. My brother flies in from Seattle tomorrow night, and I work until Friday, when I fly to Maine. I know that I'll be returning several times, if not more, over the summer.

My goal for July is 135. My overall goal may be lowered to 130, but I'll have to see what happens. I still have fat around my middle that I'd like to get rid of!
Oh HOW I LOVE being thin!!!!

Survived our Canadian long weekend of parties and an ice team joint...without a gain but no loss. I set my goal weight to 140lbs knowing that it might almost be impossible to reach, what I do know is that eating lc brings me much better health in the long run.

Hi Everyone! Not really sure what to set my goal at for July. I've had a nice little drop both of the last 2 days, so I'm thankful for that, but fully expect a little bounce up tomorrow. That's just how my body seems to work. I'm learning to be okay with that.
With my surgery next week, I'm not sure if I'll really use lose this month.

Mthrgoos I know after my surgery it did take me awhile (maybe a week or 2)to start losing again. I'll be Praying for an easy safe surgery and recovery!

Laura you are dropping weight like crazy. Please share a daily menu. When I started we had the same stats. Mine haven't changed and your are dropping. way to go!!! but curious about your menu. If I asked you before i'm sorry I may not have seen your reply.

I'm having trouble with will power and not being prepared for the week kills me. If I cook ( a lot) then I do good. it's when I'm like ok I can have salad but chicken would be great with it. Then i'm like, dang I don't have any chicken. So then the off plan begins. One day of doing something with my family etc throws me off. AND I LOVE LOW CARB and I KNOW I'M NEVER HUNGRY ON LOW CARB but I have no will power.

Liz, I know what you mean, preparation absolutely makes a huge difference. I only have one day off each week, on Mondays, so I set aside several hours each Monday to my cooking for the week. We don't usually get home from work each night until about 7:30, so if I had to plan and prepare a meal at that time, I would probably say Forget It! LOL. Just little things like having the veggies cut up, the meat ready to throw on the grill, the meatloaf mixed up, little things like that. It definitely makes all the difference!

Tomorrow is my oldest son's 14th birthday. Per his request, I got him an Oreo ice cream cake at Dairy Queen. It looks ridiculously good so I am already trying to build up my resolve so I can get through tomorrow without having any. :):):)

Trinigirl, great job resisting temptation! In those cases, I see it as a victory to make it without a gain! :)

Luvleliz, preparing food ahead of time and planning snacks definitely helps me stay on plan. I also get lots of motivation by spending time reading this forum everyday! Hang in there! When you find your groove and the weight starts dropping and your appetite decreases it will get easier to stick with it. We are here for you!

Liz - well yesterday I had flat-out pizza with italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon crumbles, mushrooms and Imo's cheese shreds. I had like 3/4 of one of those and then had like 6 - 8 slices bacon this morning before bed... it was a rough morning. The day before I had some taco seasoned meat with rotel and cheese then had dinner at the pizza joint with my roommate and his sister so I think I had a small salad with cheese, tomato, hard boiled egg and ranch dressing, then some cottage cheese, pepperoni and cucumbers with onion. The day before that I had what would be my breakfast at Golden Corral, had 2 steaks, green bean casserole (I know I shoulnd't have but it tasted sooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooood!) spinach and a bite of fajita chicken, then lunch was a Burger King whopper, minus bun and condiments, with tomato and pickle then bacon to go with it.

I know I over do the bacon but I really love bacon. I have been a bit off schedule since I moved. I normally do alot of make ahead food. BBQing tomorrow, I have steaks, hamburgers, and chicken to cook up so I have something ready to go. I just got a julieanne tool from Bed Bath & Beyond to make zucchini "noodles". Gonna do a Shrimp Scampi with the "noodles".

I also get creative in the kitchen..was hungry the other day and wanted tuna. I came up with a tuna and mushrooms sauteed in butter and toasted sesame oil, added ginger and garlic and some shredded unsweetened coconut. Was oh so yummy! I just need to get into the habbit of making notations and measuring stuff when I create so I can make it again. I also snack on fat bombs. I made a mocha one and a caramel latte one..then MtherGoos cream cheese ones too so I have lots to choose from.
