TOM IS here full force!

Yay Julie - happy for you that your vaca eating didnt do damage!

1more gin - I know we gotta hold steady for the weekend - sure would make Monday a whole lot nicer!! - weigh everyday here but thinking I shouldnt weigh during TOM - dont want to depress self - but then again - I want to see how scale fluctuates during so will pretend it is an experiment and hopefully it wont take me down...

B: filet and slaw
L: broth
D: (this is where it gets crazy) - had: 3 scr eggs, 1 piece chicken (fried in atkins bake), slaw, cup whipped topping, lowcarb shake with a couple of spoons of pumpkin, cream cheese with about 1/2 tbsp peanut butter, & about 10 almonds (shewwww!)

I lost it at dinner time - It started raining here and I did nothing but sit on the couch ---- - so obviously I was bored!

But BOY DID I DRINK some WATER YESTERDAY!!

I did the xbox for about 30 minutes (only 40 calories) but did it! No studying. Today is supp to be nice out - thinking about coercing family to go to the falls or something - get out today or maybe to our man-made beach?? I will do the xbox and try to get over 40 calories today - even if it is only 41 calories! I HAVE TO STUDY TODAY!

I AM GOING TO DO GREAT THIS WEEKEND - I PROMISE!

Weekends are so busy, I find that sometimes I feel a bit restricted by this way of life and eating, I think it leads back to my childhood when the weekend meant large family dinners and teats and deserts, so now I have to rethink my weekends. I'm reading more about the health benefits of a lower carb lifestyle..I enjoy meat but I enjoy vegetables and fruits..so I don't to eat them. I can't enjoy just meats or eggs by themselves all the time. The summer on our farm means tons of fresh veggies and my cherries are in full ripeness. And my tomatoes are almost ready..tons of lettuces, and kale,beans peas, so yummy.
So with these nature gifts I have to receive

Mischale- I think you may have made up for having only broth for lunch? Call it a TOM binge and then back on track. I tell ya- I'd rather binge on that kind of stuff than fall off...

Good Saturday here. Worked a lot. Sweat in this az sun. But it helped.

My teen wiped out- too much water last night and no food for over 10 hours. Electrolytes were nil. Powerade zero and vitamins and bac n eggs and she was back to normal about an hour after waking. Scary.

Same... Mini plateau?

Weekend day 1 nailed it!

Wow 1moregin - -9 lbs - you go girl! (yes I def made up for only broth at lunch!)

I did amazing yesterday. We havent had sun in forever and my poor kids are just hating it so we decided to get out of the house (which is huge for us -boys are gamers and I am a homebody). I wanted to go to the falls and walk/hike and so we did! We left the house at about 2:30 and didnt get home until about 10:30 - now we didnt hike the entire time of course. We stopped at 2 different waterfalls to look at (and trust me this was plenty of hiking for me!). I was shocked. The whole family enjoyed it and realized we need to get out more often. We did stop at a famous place to eat called the Dillard house (at least famous in our parts) - it wasnt spectacular - just a buffet that they bring to your table basically. I did great and stayed on plan! We had a lot leftover and I think the waitstaff was shocked that we didnt want TOGO boxes. Upon coming home my husband got out snacks and I refrained!

So in all - the scale did go down today even though it is TOM. It even went to 198.? but I stepped on a few more times and 199 was the mean. I have to continue to push hard through TOM in hopes of seeing a good little drop! I pray!

Today is study day (for real-I actually already did some before posting this). FIL house for breakfast and maybe take the boys fishing (hoping more walking). We were inspired yesterday so we thought fishing would be good today (we never do this kind of stuff).

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I am having a great one with my family. Did some yard work yesterday and went to the pool. I then had a huge dinner and ate way too much (all on plan though). I also bought some macadamia nuts at Costco and ate too many. I need to portion them out and stop grazing each time I walk by the can. Will be better today about portion control overall!

Trinigirl, I feel your pain with all the yummy fruits. We have a loaded peach tree and a huge bed of strawberries that are ripe and it kills me to not eat them!would be even harder with cherries as those are my favorite!! Hang in there!

Mischale, great job getting out and getting moving! For me, exercise has really helped. KUTGW!

1moregin, you are doing great!! Scary about your teen though. Hopefully better today!

I really want to get on my bike today... 103 degrees... well, not so much. I may wait till this evening. If my muscles are up to it. Anyone have muscle fatigue? My supplements don't arrive till Tuesday, it's even difficult carrying the toddler for a long period. Walk, baby!

Holy cow! I can't stop eating today. I started the day with coffee with HWC then we went out for breakfast and I ate 3 eggs scrambled with spinach, chorizo and topped with cheese. Then I snacked on some macadamia nuts, then ate some buffalo chicken dip with celery and later had some sugar free frozen yogurt (very small portion). I decided to skip dinner but then I got hungry and ate a small bowl of Hi-Lo cereal (LC) with almond milk. My sweet tooth is out of control (TOM very soon!) so then I had some sugar free chocolate. I now have a belly ache. Aarrggghhh!! . I always hate days like this when my appetite and sweet tooth are out of control. I'm sticking with things I'm allowed but I've already eaten a lot more than normal today. I also made some cream cheese muffins for the next few days to hopefully better control my TOM sweet tooth.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I will be traveling for work this week and likely wont be online as much as usual. Have a great week and stay LC!!!

It is terrible! I am now in bed and trying not to eat anything else! To make matters worse, I'm going to Frankfurt this week (the land of apple strudel and crazy good chocolate, two of my favorite things in the world). With a TOM visit, it will be that much harder to resist all that good stuff. I will try though!

Julie I understand your pain. I ate and ate my saturday!!! I played in the kitchen which means I eat more. My days off are the only time I have to do major experiments on new recipes. I tend to follow a theme. Saturday was turnips. I made hash with them I mashed them I just played around with them. Fried it quite good also. Problem is I also ate them ALL!!!!!!!!! I ate so much my tummy hurt....yet kept eating. Silly me. It all tasted so good. Was proud of myself the next day. Went to the fair with my roommate and didn't eat any junk... not one lil thing... YAY me.

I blew it this weekend. Hubby's birthday and he wanted white chicken chili. That's would have been ok, but with wine and bread nope. It will take days to get out of my body then I will be ok. I get so mad at myself in the am. Time to pick myself up off the floor and move forward. Back on track.

Ok, so the scale was 229.6, so I will claim the 230.

Menu today:

B: 3 eggs scrambled with leftover broccoli/cauliflower casserole, a pile of bacon

l: I'm packing small sweet peppers for dipping into ranch, and a small cooked steak. I may toss together some romaine and make it into a steak salad. A steak on a plate always looks conspicuous at work.

s: Mondays I work late running group, and group is started with a pot luck. Snack will be a few bites of whatever low carb options there might be, such as celery, maybe a strawberry, a bite of chicken.

d: If I am hungry when I get home, I will eat leftover crack slaw.

I learned a lot from the bad choices I made this weekend. I feel like if I would of been more accountable that the scale would of read differently today. Weekends crush my diet every time! I know this so you would think that I would be more aware of my surroundings. Water, water, water.....

1MOREGIN - I have been studying but nothing like I should be - I have until the 18th so you know procrastination...yaaaa that is what I do! Congratulations on the LOSS -OMG I hope mine drops after TOM!! I am gonna try to keep it simple today - meat and eggs and maybe??

I went with my boys to the mountains again to fish (note we never ever do stuff like this). I saw a post on FB that hit me like a ton of bricks - something like - Enjoy the little things, for one day you will look back and they will be the big things. So I realized, we dont have to have to plan or have a big fancy day, we can just do little things and they are memories and will add up. Yesterday was a memory too - I swear the rain followed us everywhere we went. I hooked some LIVE worms for the first time in my life and gladly held the umbrella for my husband and me while we watched our boys fish. I feel like I want to make up for lost time - time that I spent being TIRED all the time and just work and sleep and eat - instead of spending time with my boys. I LOVE the energy this diet is giving me. I am not overflowing with it but definitely feel a lot better and my mental state is better too. I must remember to stay on this for a lifetime as I suffer from depression as well. Anyways sorry for long post.

I am going to do great today. Seriously studying today! dang it!

Ok, I love this forum to vent, share, advice etc. It's great. I love reading everyones menu too. Someone else's regular meal maybe something I never would have thought of to eat.

This weekend I finally made it to the grocery store. $265 later!!! I had steak, carne asada, ribs, beef ribs, chicken, pork rinds, asparagus anyways, NO EXCUSES! And I bought cheese puffs for the kids - yuck I won't touch those. So last night I had pork rinds oven fried chicken. LOVE THAT. oh, and I walked the local mountain trail two times this weekend. 3 miles at least each time. I'm proud of myself.

B: 2 eggs and 4 microwave bacon
S: cucumber with ranch
L: 3 chicken oven fried chicken pieces, asparagus
S: small green salad
D: last of the oven fried chicken pieces and asparagus.

I also bought 80/20 ground beef. I was on another diet where I was eating 93/7. So this will be a change too. Looking to make a pasta casserole for the family and hamburger patties for me. Ok, this is the week to loose.

July 15th. 147lbs I'm so very happy, drank tons of water and bone broth, made with coconut milk..yummy.

Julie I get those days, when I can eat everything in site and I no longer have a TOM but I think my body still goes through the cycles... Have a wonderrful week in Frankfurt, I know you can stay strong, It's always so difficult on companies trip when you are eatting out everynight but at least you are going to a meat loving country...Yummy.

Shelly you did it the weight is back down..big hugs I know how hard it is to have your baby leave even for a little while.

DQ we are all missing you, hope all is well.
