Slowly coming off but my ketosis stick is only measured as small. I have been 100%
on plan but last night I did have mushrooms and zucchini which are not on the list but didn't figure they would hurt. According to my tracker I have had 8 carbs the first few days and yesterday 17 so not sure what I need to tweak.

Hello! Our vacation is about over and we are headed back to VA now. I did well staying on plan but certainly ate too much. However, today we stopped at Wendy's for lunch and I had a minor lapse. I hadn't eaten much for breakfast (small portion of eggs, bacon) so I was starving by the time we finally stopped for lunch (never good!). I saw a picture of the new bacon cheeseburger with a pretzel roll and I had to have one. I initially told myself I would just take a bite of the roll and then ate the whole thing (46 carbs total per their website). So, I haven't eaten since and plan to fast until tomorrow morning. I'm hoping it doesn't knock me out of ketosis. I still have the metallic taste in my mouth so hopefully it doesn't do too much damage. We will get home tomorrow and I am so anxious to weigh myself. I'm a daily weigher so this has been a long week not being able to get on the scale. I'm hoping my week of vacation didn't do much damage! :-) No weight gain would be a victory in my mind! Fingers crossed........

I'm happy to see so much participation this month! It is very helpful and inspiring to read everyone's posts. Thanks for sharing!

Julie, shoulda taken down a couple stackers or whatever without buns! They're only like 2-3 carbs plain. I now want a baconator, or a low carb monster burger from Hardee's! I gave up fast food for over 8 months but now the occasional low carb whatever is like a cheat treat.

Hi Everyone,

Long time listener, first time caller

I started the induction on 18 June and am down from 231 to 205 so far. I'm in New Zealand, so we would say 105kg down to 93kg, but 26 pounds sounds soooo much more than 12kg! I'd love to get below 90kg (196lbs) by the end of the month.

TBH, I started reading about real food diets after I had my gallbladder out and promptly gained 10kg (22lbs). I started getting muscle/joint aches, breathlessness and candida Atkins was by far the eating plan with the most info available. Glad to say, the symptoms and weight have disappeared in such a short time!

My wedding is in Feb next year and I want to be my ideal weight in my dress. I'd already ordered it 2" too small, but have lost 4" in some places already..!

Keep up the good work everyone - you have so much to be proud of!

Hello CalmyWilde - We are right around the same stats! congrats on the amazing loss so far - wow! WOW! I hope my loss looks like that!

Julie - good luck on the scale today! Your stats are amazing so I am sure you will be fine!

Today it is back to work for me. I did okay yesterday. I think I had too many veges, possibly too many calories

I had:

2 or 3 sausage patties/about 4 links
scrambled eggs with sour cream
little bit of leftover seafood medley and small piece of chicken (atkins mix) w chipotle dressing to dip in
small filet
slaw (homemade)
asparagus
hot dog (not good but wanted a slaw dog!)
slaw again!
whipped topping

I did want desperately to eat more before bed but refrained so yay for that . I didnt clean the house nor did I study (I will pay for that one), but I did work up a sweat in the yard for a bit.

Today I work so I am going to focus on drinking plenty of water. I HAVE to study today and I will get the xbox out even if it is for 10 minutes!

Good job everybody keep up the good work. Well out of food and I am not going to the store until tomorrow, period. So this will be interesting for today's menu. I ate a lot yesterday. Wasn't too hungry just wanted something crunchy. Oh well, still did ok. I have a bag of Date I have been having 2 every day to get rid of them. They are higher in carb, but if I limit only 2 a day it's ok (7-8 carbs total). Plus they are good and good for you so I can't be too upset. Sort of like the bean soup

Good morning all-

Doing ok, but made the mistake of weighing myself this morning and did not like what I saw. But I am not going to let it get me down, I am going to use it to determine I think as far as losing weight I am pretty sensitive to veggies. So as much as it hurts me to admit- I am going to have to go easy on them for a while.

I did work out last night, although it wasn't my yoga class, I did a Firm tape. Probably wont be able to get in a workout today as I am working late (and slept late too!)

Not hungry at all this morning and tried BPT to see if I can get things moving.

STRUGGLING TODAY!

Oh Lord I am struggling some today. I am working and all I can think about is eating. I am on my 2nd big glass of water. I must not fall! I even already ate a filet with slaw. I must be like you labmini and sensitive to veges - maybe it brought on me wanting to eat more - that or work does it to me! Unfortunately I can't quit work (DARN IT!)

I know I'm one to talk... But I did lose 100 a while ago...

When I lost sight of things and started down the slippery slope-
I re-evaluated my motivation.

What do you want? Look at those jeans, the pictures, that dress.

More importantly: what do you NOT want? That BP reading, all those meds, size 22, sore knees, sweaty and out of breath?

I listen to inside out weight loss and this is called Toward and Away from motivation.

Which after you lose a bit, a size, etc... Needs to be revisited.

I don't do the broth but everywhere I have seen you shouldn't be too worried about the sodium. What's in your slaw? Have you calculated the carbs per serving? That makes me want a big bratwurst covered in it lol. Do you keep track of all your meals?

So there is no more chips in the house and no more cookies. Tonight we are going on a small hike with a bunch of ladies from the gym. That is 4 miles total. im hitting the store in the morning. I'm splurging on steaks and chicken, ground beef, eggs, bacon and sausage and ??? What I don't buy in carbs i'm buying in steak. Since dang steak is so expensive now! I don't do fish so that's not an option. Any extra ideas would be great before I go. I love to cook for the most part so making new things is fun to me.

cb83 - Hi. I only started keeping track since it isnt a buttload to keep track up. Omg I used to eat like nobody's business but since starting this plan I havent been as hungry so I can keep track. The slaw is just the premade stuff in salad bag section and then I add Mayo and vinegar. mmm brat and slaw...

luveliz - idea - BRATS!


It is 3pm here - I just got off work and am proud to say - I didnt eat while working - just the broth and almost 3 big cups of water!! Goo meeee! Now going to hold out until dinner. I am going to go turn on the XBox - I promised myself even if only for 10 minutes so I must (and I must study).

Shelly - do you have broth on hand - seriously BIG TIME helped me. I am going to make sure I have that at all times and REMEMBER to use it - cannot tell you how much better I feel that I did not cave and eat! ....mine definitely wasnt out of hunger cause I am not hungry right now - it is pure boredom I think!

My SAMs has big packs of brats/Italian sausage mild and hot. Got mild for the 4th. Ate like 6, and they are hugggee. Only 1 carb too! Haven't had their brats for a while but they are some of the best I've had.

Had garlic Parmesan mushroom & eggs for brunch since I slept in today. Best bfast yet.

Sautéed about 1/2 cup cut up shrooms and two garlic cloves, added garlic salt, cayenne pepper, and some pepper. Of course 1 tbsp salted butter.
Beat 4 eggs w 2 tbsp of hwc, added ounce of Parmesan. Poured over mushrooms and when almost done dusted again w some Parmesan.

It was magical!

Hi Laura what a drop the shrink is back on.

Motivation is high.

Yum!

Back to bacon and eggs tomorrow! Have a good weekend. It's only 2 days. Know how good Monday feels when you had a clean weekend and a great weigh in?

Happy Saturday! Thankfully my vacation eating and my Wendy's mishap with the pretzel roll bacon cheeseburger didn't do any damage. I was very fearful I would be up a few pounds after all that. My eating was very different from normal as I wasn't having my BPC, I added Hi-Lo cereal with almond milk (yummy LC cereal) and I had LC granola a few times. I wanted the extra fiber since I wasn't getting the CO every day and the extra carbs didn't seem to have a negative impact. That is good news for maintenance! It was nice having a bowl of cereal every day as that is certainly one of the things I've missed. I was also eating a lot more calories as most of my meals were at restaurants with huge portions or fast food while on the road. Overall, I'm very happy! Had a great week and no recovery needed!
