UGH, Kemp, I feel your pain. There is NOTHING like that caffeine withdrawal headache. I was in the hospital recently, and they were giving me first morphine, and then Percocet for the pain. Even those painkillers didn't get rid of the caffeine withdrawal headache I was having. It was the worst part about my hospital stay. The minute the Dr approved it, I sent my daughter out for a Diet Pepsi! LOL It's the ONLY thing I haven't been able to give up with this WOE.

mthergoos- thank you for the motivation, i looked at your stats, and i'm thinking... 75 pounds since feb 22- yeah, that's pretty darn good. so, i will hang in there. i just hate the moments when i put in the work, and don't see the rewards. but i feel great. i will cease the complaining.

julie- thank you as well. i will. i will. i will. i am coming up on a month next monday, i will give it a 2 week by 2 week trial from that point. and keep doing what i am doing.

julianna, princessmommy, laura- nice!

trini- thank you. i couldn't go strictly vegan, but ovo-lactarian (needed my eggs and cheese) vegetarian. i loved it. 7 years strict. it was great and i cant wait to get back there again. this WOE is a means to an end. after 199- i am definitely doing another lemon cleanse and going back veg.


cb83- thank you for the motivation, too. stalls are disappointing. 35 pounds is good... i want to get there, too. once im in the teens, it will get really real to me... in all my last 3 years of complacency- i have never been so ready and willing and eager to be healthy and excited to sweat and move and have that after workout burn than ever before.

that make sense?

ok- i admit- i am a stress eater- so i had an atkins bar tonight and taking it in stride. not gonna buy anymore, and i am ready for AUGUST!

b- 3 eggs, butter
l- hamburger patty, mustard
s- atkins bar , pickle
d- 3 oz corned beef, 2T cream cheese just because


and has anyone had issues with digestive enzymes? seems like ive had a few stalls since taking them. no sugar or carbs. hm. just trying to put rhyme to reason.

also- dealing with yeast die off rash on my neck. but its leaving. not the months long horror stories ive been reading about.

good night. tomorrow is a new day and i will put it all behind me!

Wow, things have been really crazy. Wouldn't you know it, when I decide to change my life, something happens to test me! The day after I committed to start eating right, my husband falls on the stairs and has to go to the ER. So I have been spending my time mostly at the hospital. Fortunately he is OK, but he has Parkinson's and has to be in rehab for awhile so they can get his meds adjusted and get him stronger.

But I am really proud of myself - I DID NOT STRAY OFF PLAN! This is about the first time in my life I was faced with stress and I stuck to my goal. I want to win this time! I will remember what it is I am after! So, I have made progress - 2 lbs. down since Saturday. Yay!

Serena: Sorry about your DH. But way to stay on plan, that is no easy task. I also like your sign off line never heard that before, hope I can use it to stay on plan. Or at least stop me before I get to far off plan! LOL

Well day two has begun. Headache not as bad. Did not weigh this morning, but will tomorrow for the start of the new monthly challenge. Gained back 41 pounds over the last three months. My dad had 4 bypasses and a new valve put in. I tried to stay focused but crumbled the day of his surgery. And just stayed off plan until yesterday. But by God I am back and motivated to get this weight back off.

Fired up the grill even in this humid sticky city I live in and cooked a bunch of chicken and pork tenderloin for the week. Had three eggs this morning with low sugar ketchup on it(1/2 serving is only 1/2 carb) with some bacon and a piece of sausage. Yes the gym will get its first visit this afternoon if time permits, to try and kick my fat butt into ketosis ASAP!!!!

This is what I've learnt about myself this month...that taking care of yourself is a important, and that although I am surrounded by a great husband and wonderful children I have to put my health and well being my own..I have run around the last 33 years of my life between, family and career, myself taking a back seat, now it is difficult to let go of that habit, but by doing so I lost myself...it been. Great fun experience but what am I teaching my daughter about self worth..all the good books in religion teaches us to love thyself, as my second son told me this morning (the pilot) '' we always asks the parents, adults to put on the oxygen mask first, in order to take care of their children..how can I be happy without feeling good about myself, taking time to eat right, workout, meditate, relax, laugh..most of all this might only take an hour a day..so this new way of eating for me has made me take a little time...
The thread and board has brought me like minded women and men..I look forward o August...

Congrats to everyone here, the great losers, the ones that are close to goal and have become the yoyo dancers, the ones who has struggles through life experiences but have stuck to plan or qucly got back to plan, the ones who have rejoined even in at the end knowing that this woe is for them...congrats I say to us all

Well with all the cheating and no results I see why I can be discouraged. However, with the past almost 7 days with strict low carb eating I will see a drop soon. Not seeing a change only confirms that a little taste here an there doesn't work for me. Now, next week will be the real test - will give up coffee for hopefully 2 weeks. I have it now with hwc. I've almost given up diet coke because im stuck on the diet green tea citrus flavor now. So I need to buy more of those and have it for breakfast too. Goal to walk the mountain this weekend (3 miles total). Looking forward to August. Right now, I've got this. no more sugar cravings etc right now. Feeling good and feeling strong!

This month was certainly not a good weight loss month for me, but I am thankful I survived my vacation to Missouri and my trip to Germany without weight gain. I did splurge a bit a few times, but thankfully I was able to get right back on plan both times. August will be a better month as I am determined to reach goal and start maintenance. Look forward to sharing the August challenge with everyone! You guys help me stay focused and motivated!!
