Good morning everyone ,back to work hope everyone had lovely weekend.

Goal to reach 140 lbs. Continue to strive for better health and well-being And to take better care of myself..to start an excise program.

Shelly, you are definitely not alone in it! I know any time I have a decent loss, I have to brace myself because I'm 100% guaranteed to show a gain in the next day or two. It just seems to be the nature of the beast.

Today marks exactly 5 months on plan for me. 100% on plan. I've lost a total of 64 1/2 pounds in that time. That's definitely MUCH slower than I used to lose, but this is the first time that I've really felt like I'm changing my WOE, and just DIETING. I feel like this is the time that it's actually going to click and last. I've never felt that way before, so I'm thankful that I lose slower than I used to, and I'm hoping that it means I've actually learned something!

I apparently can Not eat supper late. We had to run to the hardware store around 8:00 last night and we didn't eat till almost 9:00pm. Stuck with a Very yummy salad and didn't even eat it all. Disgusted this morning with the scale! Fingers are swelled and feeling very sorry for myself. Forgive my pity party ya'll. This month has been a total bust for me!

My first month has not gone so well. I not only have had a few days of cheats but it has cost me and set me back to square one. I am realizing you can't really do this half a$$ you really need to dedicate to follow the plan as it is laid out. I wish I wasn't my own worst enemy. So tired of failing every time I dedicate myself.

ok. so strickly on plan yesterday. Went for the bag of pretzels and realized it won't work if I do. But I did munch last night. I guess I didn't have enough dinner to fill me up. Fine all day but looking for more around 8 pm.

Today:
B: chicken salad w/mayo and 4 bacon
s: celery and onion dip
l: hamburger patty, cheese with 1/2 artichoke and mayo
d: hamburger patty, cheese and asparagus (no more patties left after today lol) low carb icecream if I have to or the other half of my atkins bar. (last bar in the house too)

I wish it didn't feel so weird to eat bacon at 8 pm for a snack. I mean it's low carb right?? Then why am I like oh, don't eat that. but I should if im hungry eat it!! especially if its microwave and easy peasy. Otherwise, it's a string cheese, then pork rinds, then something else. Tuna and mayo or chicken and mayo fills me up. Then why am I not eating that when i'm hungry at night? Its protein, fat and 0-2 carbs at the most. What's wrong with my way of thinking. LOL!!! I think I will temp myself to make bacon and eat it tonight. Or some kind of extra protein. Why not 2 patty's? why only one???

What do you all do for late night munchies?

(((HUGS))) Shelly. Hang in there Sweetie. I know how frustrating the yo-yoing is, but it will start to go down again. You know it will. It just sucks that our bodies sometimes seem to fight us on this.

DQ, I wish we would have a gloomy cool day here! LOL

Liz, Honestly, I just try not to snack at night. If I feel hungry at night, I just tell myself that my body will have to go into the fat stores for fuel. If you really have to eat, maybe some eggs, or hard boiled eggs. Protein and fat, but not too many calories.

Tskb, (((HUGS))). I'm so sorry you're struggling. It can be so hard to get started. Maybe try focusing on all the things that you CAN have. The yummy things that you like that are part of the plan.

Hang in there Shelly! This month has been a total bust for me too! Given that we both had a vacation this month and had a great time, I think we did pretty well! We still have a week to go and I am sure we will both have a great August!!! Keep your chin up lady! You have done amazingly well!!

hi all

excited... just configured my bodybugg (rather- body media link)

i love these things.

ok--- weight was down another .5, so i was a day off from my goal of 15 lbs in the first 2 weeks of induction...

i realize that i have to exercise to lose weight..

i am sorry for the yo yo club... i hope something sparks, and helps you keep moving down... maybe some re-evaluation, make some changes, kick up the metabolism via exercise. i know plateaus happen, set-points, but maybe tweak something...

DQ is about to pop some tags! LOL.

Shelly it'll come off just keep tryin...just keep tryin. You are so close yer body just doesn't want to let go of the last lil bit. But keep it up and you will get there.

DQ - Oh I want to go.... I think it's about time for a lil bit of shopping!

luvleliz - I have to eat late now. The doctor said I have to eat with the pills I take before I go to bed so the absorbtion rate goes from 30% to almost 100%. Anyway I have been eating a bit of scrambled eggs with cheese or a piece of meat that I bbq at the beginning of the week to have go to food. I even cook bacon ahead and store it in the fridge for when I'm hungry but don't know what I want.... BACON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
