Goal for June 188.5 (exactly 40 lbs since I first weighed in)

June 3 - 192.3 Starting a 4 week kettlebell class with hubby tonight - so excited!!!!
June 4 - 191.3
June 5 - 189.8 Finally lost that Mexico weight plus some!!! Was so excited I ran outside in my housecoat to tell hubby who was out with the dogs

So sorry for the stress you are going through PrincessMommy.

I want to thank you all. After having some gastro problems last year, including a colostomy (now repaired), my docs put me on a grain free diet. I also needed to lose weight. Perfect for my old friend Atkins.

I have been successful in the past, yet tried 3 times in the past year for weeks without any drop in weight. I was so discouraged, thinking my body had caught on to the low carb trick.

Then I came here and read that the shakes and bars can be the culprit. I was having a shake and a bar every morning for my breakfast.

This time, I have gone back to straight, strict induction and wow, it is finally working like I remembered. I know this is just the high of the first week of induction and things will slow down, but I am just so encouraged to see the scale finally going down. And I only made one change - got rid of the processed food, even though it was supposed to be ok for induction.

DQ, another drop even lower into the 130's!!! YAY!!

Didn't weigh today, since I've had consistent losses the last few days, I know it's time for the scale to bounce around a bit and I don't want to see it! LOL

So, I bought a new scale last night, one that measures body fat etc too. They are not accurate, but, I want to measure the trend of fat loss/muscle gain, since for 2 weeks the scale doesn't want to cooperate, and I know I must be doing something, with the eating right and working out! So, old scale said 181.2 this morning, new one 180.8. Either way, it's a loss, and I'll take it lol.

Oh, i also bought a hate rate monitor/pedometer watch thingy, but I think I will end up returnign it and just sucking it up and buying a fitbit. Any fitbit users here?

Saw my personal trainer for the first time tonight. She gave me a good workout, and didn't kill me, so I guess I'll keep her. :P

I'm not sure which to order, if I do, the Zip or ONE. I know I sleep badly so I don't need something to tell me lol but it says it tracks stairs as well, I wonder if the Zip does that as well? I don't know much about these things yet.

I never use the sleep feature, however, I like the slim profile of the One. Probably TMI, but I like to wear it on my bra and the One does not show.

Good morning all. I love the first two weeks of Induction when the pounds roll off. I only wish it would stay this way, but I know better.

Started induction on June 3:

June 3: 184.7
June 4: 180.4
June 5: 179.6 - reached goal for June. New goal - 176.7
June 6: 176.6 - do I dare set another goal? Oh what the heck: 174.7 (10 lbs)

Additional goals - get back up to 10,000 steps on my fitbit. Only logging around 7500 and 20 stairs every day.

Morning all!!!
I live on Capitol Hill in DC, and our beloved Frager's hardware stor, in business since 1920, caught fire and burned last night, leaving only a shell. It was like a wake ...the neighborhood was there..i got home around 9pm. So sad.
