Morning everyone! So today is the 29th and I have one more day -- my goal was to get down below 140 and I've done that! Also, the lobster dress I bought about 6 weeks ago and didn't quite fit -- now fits! wheeee!

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

Since I didn't have luck with this type of thread in the "Atkins Nutritional Approach" section, I'll just join you guys here. I felt stupid posting when no one else did.

June 4 - 157.6 (I think the scale is going the wrong direction)

Yes you read it right. 148lbs up two lbs, just from yesterday BBQ, all I had was meat and salads, I guess when ever I eat out or other people cooking I gain..not impressed at all today and I don't feel right. I have a tummy upset bet there was far too many carbs in the salad dressings..and of course I also had way too much coffee when everyone else was having pie and ice cream (which I so love) I had coffee with cream, I don't think I drank enough water as well. Well today is another one the ice cream joint...and the conversation with my DH as to why I can't have any...he thinks I look wonderful and one cheat will no throw me off I don't want to end this month where I started. then tomorrow at my BIL who is a Wonderful cook and wants everyone to eat up... unfortunately no one would here (farm country) and in my family here does LC...my Dad and Mom who lives over 2000 miles always have lived this lifestyle for many years and are my most supportive fans. so I,m off now going to drink water and see where this gets me.

Shelly thank you so much for your support and encouragement you can imagine how much it means to me this morning...if I did not have this thread for support and a place to vent I Don't know what would have happened today....thank you so very much my friend

And yes, one of my air cinditioning compressors (i have a big house) died!! Yes ma'am that'll be $5500 and thank yew.

But i reached my goal of finally gtting below 140!! I'm dehydrated because my punk band prformed last night at a huge community pool party and i was soaked by the time we finished.

Well, I didn't quite reach goal. In fact, I went up 0.4 lbs today. Oh well. I will keep trying!

Trinigirl, I feel your pain! My family is very supportive too, but I run into the same issues. It is usually my 6 year old son that jumps in when I'm offered sweets at social events and tells them that "mommy doesn't eat sweets because she is trying to be healthy". Funny that he gets it better than my DH and 13 year old son!

Thanks to all the challengers for sharing this month's journey with me! As my weight loss continues to slow down, I really appreciate all the encouragement and support from this forum and I get such inspiration from all of you! Look forward to seeing you all in the July challenge!!

You know....if I take my high weight of the month minus my low weight of the month, I actually lost 5.2 lbs.

Good Morning Everyone! It's the last day of June, and I can't remember what my goal was. LOL. I think I wanted to get into the 240's, and I did make it there. I really would have preferred to be BELOW 240, but it just didn't even come close to happening.

DQ, You are ROCKING it, in every way! LOL You're an awesome inspiration! How's your dad doing at home now?

Pink, you're doing really well!! The scale is moving down for you and your continued dedication is inspiring!

Shelly, I know you didn't quite hit the goal that you wanted, but you still had a GREAT month!! AND, you had a lot of stress this month, and you didn't turn to food for comfort, so that in itself is a huge victory. Next month will be even better than this month!

Julie, I LOVE Chipotle salads!! I don't usually eat veggies, so when I want a little cheat, without really going off plan, I get a Chipotle salad. SO SO good!! And you did great this month!

Trini, (((HUGS))) Please don't get too discouraged. It doesn't sound like you really went off plan yesterday, and you avoided some of the biggest temptations, so I bet it's water weight and will come right back off. You know you didn't eat an extra 7,000 calories to actually add 2 pounds, so it has to be water. I think that as we go along and we get months, or years, into the WOE, a lot of it is learning to navigate and deal with all the social food situations that come up. Sometimes that will mean planning to have a few bites off plan (like at the ice cream place), and knowing that it's a planned detour, and you'll be right back on plan. It's better than sitting there and being miserable because you feel like you're left out of what everyone else is doing. But I really think it's best if you give yourself permission to do it ahead of time, rather than losing control and going on a binge. For me, each time I've given myself permission to cheat beforehand, and planned to go off plan, each time I got into the situation, I found that I really didn't want to. So even though I planned to have an off plan treat, I never did. I don't know if I'm explaining this the way I wanted to, or if I'm just rambling. LOL My point was to enjoy the weekend and the family time, and plan an off plan treat or meal if you want to and don't beat yourself up for it. You're doing great!
