So I just started Atkins recently and I'm making ribs tonight and I bought a rub that has 2 carbs per serving which is about 2 Tsp. I probably rubbed about 5 ish tsp or 6 on my ribs which was a significant amount and I read on the label it has less than a gram of sugar. Is this safe to eat on my diet?

it's not a good thing to eat. of course you should try to avoid things with added sugar. if you have already made them, though, and the total is just one gram of sugar, don't throw the whole thing out! that would be terribly wasteful. just check first next time.

rubs like that aren't the best use of your carbs, in my opinion, but it won't hurt you a lot! LOL

I make my own dry rub seasoning and then I know there is no added sugar - or if you need the extra sweetness add a bit of Splenda or Stevia. It's not too hard. I'll bet there are even recipes on the recipe boards.
