Hi Everyone! I've been away for 2 days and it looks like I've missed a lot!!

Cheshire Girl, I'm so sorry!! (((HUGS))) Let us know what the doctor says.

Wendy, it's TOTALLY normal to have slower losses in the 2nd week. Hang in there, and you will keep losing.

My goal for this month was to get into the 250's, and I made it! Just barely, but still.... LOL. I'm hoping it will stick!! I've got a lot of reading to do to catch up, so I'll be back in a bit.

I almost forgot! Funny story that I wanted to share.....

Yesterday we went out on our boat for the day, it's already hot here, it got to 110 yesterday. We took our dogs with us, they love to swim in the lake. Anyway, we got home and we were all hot and probably a little dehydrated. I was fixing a nice big drink for each of us, and my DBF was filling the dogs pail with ice water and I hear him say to them.... "Do you guys want some more of that sweet water?" Sweet water? What the heck was he talking about. So after thinking about it and still being confused, I asked him what he meant by sweet water? That's when he told me he had been using my Stevia drops in the dogs water so that they would have better tasting water!!
After explaining to him what those drops cost, hopefully he won't be doing that any more!!!

I had a binge on Russell Stove no sugar patties mint patties I ate the entire package, so in one sitting I ate 42 g of carbs, mine you they were good, minty and chocolate... but I was again trying to eat away that my son's flight got cancel led and he had to fly into London instead..so I ate and ate..I should have just gone to bed..next time..have to drink tons of water today and get back on track.

Coming here and reading and posting has really help me with this.. Thank you all for kindness acceptance and most of all daily support..

Cheshire -- kidney stones can be so painful. I think the low carb / kidney stone link is a myth. Here's the last study I read about:

May 15: I went up 3 pounds the day before yesterday but didn't log it. Today i was down from that, but still up. I'm thinking that I have pretty much reached my caloric limit to maintain my weight, because on the 12th i had some guacamole and some pizza toppings - I hadn't had either for a looong time. I've also been snacking on salt and vinegar pork rinds and some extra cream cheese. Anyway, yesterday I just had salad, a hard boiled egg, half a bag of pork rinds, and wine. Today I've had a hard boiled egg and a half cup of pulled pork - with a little vinegar. Tonight - salmon and some asparagus right out of my dad's garden. we'll see what the scale tells me tomorrow!

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

laura -- I eat wings all the time -- but always take the skin off, because I'm never sure about whether they have been breaded or what kind of sauce is on it. You can't be sure of anything but straight tabasco, or Frank's sauce. But taking off the skin works really well for me.

DQ - the ones I caved in and ate 4 of were the boneless ones that are 19 crabs per 2... so my carb count went to hell for the day but for a cheat I guess it was a lil one.... I was really craving them, so the few I had satisfied my hunger and everything else I ate for the day totaled 8 carbs so 46 is better than it could have been.

After 9 months of eating so very good and wonderfully low carb I had a horrible carb binge last night. While the scale was kind and I only gained 2 pounds, I feel horrible and my belly is terribly bloated. I am diligently attentive to my expected cravings if I have any today and planning on lots of water to flush the carbs/toxins from my system.

I think I have carb flu today. But only a mild case. I did manage to avoid bread, but munched on fries, chocolate chip cookies, doritoes and sun chips. Blech!

Here's to getting back on track and ignoring whatever the fallout is from this incredibly stupid slip!
