I kinda knew that would happen since I
went Up in weight last time I had the
temp crown put on. I'm swelled up so Hopefully it'll be gone in a day or so

Back to induction for me! By the book! I've been staying "around" 20 carbs but apparently my body needs me to go back to the beginning and start over! So i'm Rereading my New Diet rev book and getting after it! I'm So tired of this up and down crud!

Well, actually, I don't see anything wrong with doing a protein drink diet for a while - as long as the carbs are low. I looked up ideal protein drinks and they are generally around 100 calories and from 1gram carbs (orange drink) to 3 (vanilla) to 4 (chocolate drink -- although somehow a packet of chocolate drink mix is 9 g carbs, which is way too much).
So as a meal replacement, I might try it. About 7 months into induction, I bought some protein powder with very low carbs and i'd make very small treats - mixing it with cream and sometimes microwaving it into a faux pudding type thing. It worked great -- was very filling and gave me a chocolate fix. Anyway.

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

Trillex is such an amazing inspiration! I love reading her posts!!

Well I FINALLY hit the 40 pound mark today!!! Okay, technically I'm .2 away from that, but I'm calling it anyway. LOL It seems like these last few pounds have been taking forever to come off so I could hit the 40 pounds. It's been about 2 1/2 months, so, although I'm losing MUCH slower than I used to, at least it's coming off at a decent pace.

Edited to add that I just measured and I've lost an inch off my waist, but no weight. I guess it's the inch that counts and not the weight, but I just wonder why I'm losing an inch but no weight. I haven't really been working out or anything...

not saying there is anything wrong with protein shakes, just wondering why pay 100 bucks a week for basically just supplements? pretty sure anyone will lose on 800 calories a day

I hope everyone is having a good month. I went to Michigan last weekend, got home and 10:30pm and then received a call at 4:30am that my uncle had passed away so we headed back to Michigan for the week. I just returned yesterday.

I did pretty good while there - too much cheese, cream and ham but I ate what I had to to stay on plan. The day of the viewing I had a brownie and some fruit and I don't really care. Have been clean since.

Happy Mothers Day all! And congrats mthrgoos-- 40lbs is awesome!! You know, even though it IS water weight, I still notice a huge difference in the way my body looks and feels when the extra water is gone. Of course I am less bloated, but I'm also less squishy. IMO water weight is just as uggers on me as actual fat.
