Wow, LOL okay would rather have faster results, but yeah it is a pound in less then a week and really for me that is good! Perspective is needed when getting rid of the last 10 pounds. Also, wore a new pair of Talbots lovely brown slacks yesterday in size 4 (old size 6-8; I will never get the need to change USA sizing in the last 15 years) that I haven't been able to zip so thrilled with that! The body shape is smoothing out and getting rid of the spare tire.

So frustrated. :-( I bought a new scale yesterday because my digital one keeps going out on me. I bought the old fashioned dial kind for like $40. I also have another older dial one. So there I was with three scales and I hopped on all of them........three completely different weights ranging up tp 8 lbs higher than what I thought I was. Now I have no idea what the real weight is. Yuck. Totally discouraged and tempted to cheat because I'm bummed, but that's how i got in this shape, but pizza would sooth my soul, but nothing tastes as good as thin feels they say. Melt down!

RedSoxLady, I say pick one and go with that. The actual number doesn't matter as much as your downward progress. So stick with one, so you have consistency, and don't let the different numbers throw you. Scales are SO finicky. Where they're sitting on your floor, where you place your feet, it can all give you different numbers. Don't worry, just pick one and go with it.

Thank you for those words of encouragement, Mthergoos. It's a silly reason to have a meltdown over. I do see a difference in my pants, so I should be happy that, but I am addicted to the scale. I weigh sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I don't get discouraged by the daily 2 to 3 pound fluctuation... I just go with whatever is lowest. I'm going to stick with the digital scale and go get back my $40! I'll try to forget this nightmare ever happened.

Again, thank you for your kind words. They helped me to stay and eat my tuna fish sandwich for lunch instead of going to McDonalds!

AH! You're so welcome! The fact that you stuck it out is such a big victory! I think every time we don't give in to that little voice encouraging us to eat off plan, that we get a little bit stronger and it's a little bit easier next time.
And I don't think it's a silly reason to have a melt down! I completely understand!!

Hi guys happy month of may...
Goals are to stay on track to heath, wellness, and 145lbs
May 1st 155lbs
May 2nd 157lbs yo yo up and down 2lbs
May 3rd 155lbs here I go again
May 4th 155lbs holding strong as usual
May 5th 155lbs
May 6th157lbs
May 7th 154lbs finally a break through.
May 8th 153lbs I'm finally dropping so very happy.
May 9th 155lbs like a yoyo
I'm so busy these days but I'm holding on to plan just have to remind myself to drink water..,I'm also battling a very bad sinus problem..I've had to give up cream the one thing I used in my coffee. Bummer.
Can anyone advise me on how to beat this constant sinus problem??????

Had a long day yesterday of traveling for work and literally ate every meal at a rest stop. All 3 meals were mcdonalds. It feels so wrong even though I stayed on plan and threw out all the bread that came my way. Not an ounce of veggies. But the scale didnt hate it....

Warm weather, finally! and here's my vent for the day!

DC is not a very fat town (unless you get out into the suburbs), but I have noticed that some folks haven't realized that their spring clothes are a bit snug. So I go walking around outside -- downtown - and i see a lot of jelly bellies under too-thin and too-tight shirts, and some of those bellies are hanging out of their shirts. I don't know - maybe some folks don't have mirrors?

Just saying.

DQ. That,s why I'm on this way of life, had way too much clothes in my wardrobe that was way too tight, don't want to purchase new ones simply because i'm over my best weight....so I'm here for better health and wellbeing but clothes that fit well is the bonus.

I ate an Atkins bar for the first time yesterday. They hardly ever have them in stock here, so when I saw them I bought a box. Guess I will save those for when I'm out with nothing else to eat! I'm going to stop with the cheese again. I loooooove cheese, but every time I eat it (even just a couple ounces) I seem to go up the next day. Oh well today is a new day!

And there goes the initial water weight. I bet I'll be up 1.5 lbs by tomorrow. I have a feeling this is going to be a bumpy ride!


Breakfast: 2 eggs fried in 1 tsp. butter; 3 pieces bacon; 2 tsp. HWC in coffee w/ stevia (1g)

Lunch: skipped but had a couple cups of coffee w/ 3 splenda packets total (3g)

Dinner: Tilapia and spinach salad (5g) w/ 1/4 c. banana pepper rings (1g) and 2 TBSP blue cheese dressing (1g)

Daily total so far: 11g. That leaves me some nice wiggle room in case I want a snack

Happy Friday! My frustration is building again. 10 days and no loss this month. I've been watching carbs, calories and going to bed hungry every night. I've done this enough to know how to avoid hidden carbs and I know how my body typically responds to different foods. I am also exercising, which worked well for me in March, but not in April. I wish there was more consistency with this! What works one month may not work the next month! Will keep at it for sure, but given the level of effort a pound a week sure would be nice........ Hopefully things will begin moving again soon!

OK well last night I ate chocolate and tons of it to the point where I could not sleep...my tummy still not feeling well, this always happens to me when I'm exhausted an did not eat balance during the day... all I should have done was go to bed, instead I ate the chocolate...I don't feel guilty but I think I'm much more aware of why I have those binges, and it was a binge, I,m trying to figure out why I enjoy treat like food when I'm on my own more than when I eat it with my family...why I sneak to eat it, I use to buy one ice cream every time I when for had, have not done that since 2nd April so that's good...just trying to get my triggers so I don't fall into the traps...
It's still cool and rainy here.

so....i know quite a few people who have lost a lot of weight with "ideal protein"...and i talked at length with a girl at the gym about it yesterday...it is low carb, but it costs 100 bucks a week, (no food, just supplements, calcium, mag, potassium, multi)....

anyway, i was (kinda) thinking about it, (not that i probably would have ever paid all that),and then she tells me you have to stay at 800 cal. a day until you lose your weight, and then you maintain at 1200, and you cant exercise the whole time you are losing.....is it just me, or is that a terrible program?
