So I still cant make it through a completely clean day of Induction. the boards are helping me not just give up so the scale is moving some. I am hoping today is the day! I havent left the house in a few weeks and am back to work today. Should be a good day. Happy Monday

Started induction today and plan to stay in it for maybe the full month of May. We shall see. Would like to get down from 132 to 122 and hold and see how I look and feel. Right now I feel pudgy! I gained 10 pounds back from my last 40 pound weight loss with Atkins/low carb - and determined I will stop this upward gain. I know my food weaknesses, at least I don't care about sweets. Hoping clean eating gets my head around again.

May 6: 137 .. Knew it would be bad. Between my nephew being born and my bf's bday I ate terrible this weekend and binged/cheated like crazy. Starting over today (for the millionth time), and going to commit to getting back on track.

I know at least a couple of the pounds I "gained" is probably water weight and will come off pretty soon. Starting a 30 day squat challenge and going to make it a point to hit the gym at least 3 times a week! Still feel like I can at least get CLOSE to my goal if I really stick with it. Hope everyone has a great day!

150 today. I feel lighter, so I am going with that. I ate extremely well over the weekend, so there is zero guilt (minus 2 too many diet cokes) it could have been worse.

B - protein drink
L - delicious crockpot pork in green chili hatch sauce. yummmmms
D - quick 'n dirty chicken thighs with mushrooms and brocolli cooked in the oven

as many of you know, I've been doing bootcamp the past 5 months 3x a week. We are getting measurements done Wednesday morning. I haven't had mine taken since January, so I am sooo excited to see the progress I've made. Even though march/april were a wash in weightloss/health, I still know there have been tons of improvements. I look forward to sharing with the group!

HELLO EVERYONE!
Laura - really - try not to worry about it. I know that it can be disheartening, but your body is a wondrous enigma and you'll never understand it! tee hee

I'm in New Orleans, at a gynecology conference, learning a lot about endometriosis (I knew nothing until the day before yesterday when I was reading up about it). I can't believe that we not only knows what causes it, we can't figure out how to completely eliminate it! It's nuts. Anyway--
I got in at 9:30pm last night -- only had the inside of an egg and ham sandwich for the day and went straight to my hotel. I hopped over the Preservation Hall to see if I could get into the special midnight show (last day of the Jazz and Heritage Festival) and - not only did I get in, but I got a pillow in the front row (the first couple or three rows are pillows on the floor -- it;s a TINY place and I almost got clonked more than once by the jitterbugs they had dancing for about four tunes). The Preservation Hall Jazz Band was friggin fantastic, and Del McCoury and his band were there too -- they did a kind of hybrid new orleans jazz morphed into blue grass--- sort of Mardi Grass is what one of them called it. Well, every single musician up there was FANTASTIC and I had the BEST TIME, even though I still hadn't eaten anything. I managed to have a mich ultra and a glass of wine so I wouldn't pass out (yeah right). Got to my hotel room at 3am! Now THAT's what I can FUN!
TOday I worked all morning at the convention center and then went to a little cafe for lunch- ceviche (deeelish) and a small salad- just lettuce but the freshest lettuce with a vinaigrette dressing. Then I went looking for diet coke - found a little store and bought a bottle of sparking line and a bottle of coke- and then went walking and walking aroudn the French Quarter. Finally, about an hour ago- I got six oysters at the Royal Oyster House Bar and i swear they were the biggest oysters I've ever seen! I even went MMMM oh my -- out loud! Fantastic. I just might do it again -- both the cafe for ceviche and the oyster bar-- tomorrow -- they were BOTH. So. Good.
Now I've had two smallish glasses of wine and I'm about to start writing. It's still early!
Iknow, guys- I'm rambling. Uh....it's because...I'm procrastinating..... writing....

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

DQ i'm So jealous! We went to NO way back in 1996 when we won a trip to NO and on a river boat. We went to plantations which were Gorgeous and walked and walked all over bourbon st etc. Would have been a Lot more fun but I happened to be about 5 Months Preg so my hubby had the Most fun Lol. I'd Love to go back someday!

DQ, it sounds like you're having an AMAZING time!!! It's so inspiring that you can do all that, and still stay on plan!
Wendy, during the first 2 weeks of induction, don't worry too much about how MUCH food you're having, just that it's all induction friendly food. That's the most important part, once you get past the first few weeks, you can start adjusting your amounts and making the changes that suit your body.

168.0 - still fluctating between 162 and 170. I need to set some goals to be stricter, but right now life is so hectic, I'm just happy to maintain.

Finished C25K on Saturday. Now planning to run every other day until the day I'm signed up for 5k which is 5/25!
