Shelley i was lamenting yesterday about ice cream... Nope i just can't have it,

What a beautiful day it is today!! One of my bands played at a street festival...lots of booths offering tastes for a dollar or two...i tried some seared tuna, oh yum!

I weighed the same this morning. Oh qell.

Poor Shelly! That is the worst feeling. I hope you get past it quickly!

I went out looking for that "So Delicious" SF scoconut milk ice cream today and I couldn't find it anywhere. Reading about it here made me want to try it. Probably a good thing I couldn't find it though!

Yesterday I was at Sam's Club and I was starving. I decided on a hot dog and it comes with a soda fountain cup for one low price. It seemed silly to pay extra for bottled water so I decided to treat myself to some diet coke. I used to drink 4-6 diet cokes a day but I haven't had it in 4 months. It was so nasty!!! My taste buds have changed, I guess. I used to LOVE it!

I have barbecues for the next two days so I hope I don't eat too much. Tomorrow's is Greek themed so there will plenty of low carb options. However, Monday's BBQ is the more traditional American BBQ so there will be a lot of temptation! My last cheat meal was Easter Sunday, but since it took me a week to get over it then, it just doesn't seem worth it!

Shelly I love love ice cream my favorite so please don't beat yourself up...I think on this way of life its good to treat yourself sometime I know you will be back to eating a heath eating tomorrow, rest assure all will be well.

Thanks ya'll! I got right back on track with supper. Lots of water and a burger on lettuce with mayo and mustard. Yum! That was what I had wanted for lunch! Lol!

Happy Sunday! My body is so weird right now. I lost another 1.2 lbs since yesterday. I always round up my weight so I don't go crazy over the small daily fluctuations. I was 177.0 yesterday and today I'm 175.8! After such slow progress and no loss for weeks and weeks, it is so weird to see so much movement now! I'm not complaining though! :-) It is just extra motivation to be good at the barbecues this weekend! I am actually going to wear shorts today, which I haven't done in years!! I always stick with capris in the summer given how my legs looked. I am finally comfortable enough to wear shorts again!!

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

DQ haha is your body craving something?

I am down to 207 today which is 5 pounds down this month. Not enough. I wish I wasn't losing so slow - It makes me want to eat things I shouldn't. For example, I know peanut butter makes me not lose for a few days but I say to myself - what's the difference I'm not going to anyway.

Blah. I know you all feel my pain.

It's been a horribly rough month for me personally, I travel for a few days next weekend so hopefully after that I can really get my losing on.

DQ, I hate food dreams! I always wake up in a panic until I realize it was a dream.

Tinaminni, hang in there! I wish I had lost 5 lbs this month! It will pick up again!

Had a great day with friends but I ate way too much! All on plan, just a lot more than normal. I know there will be a gain in the morning! Will have to do better tomorrow.

Well, all my extra eating yesterday resulted in over a pound of weight gain this morning. I am sure it's water weight due to all the extra salty food. Will do better today and stick with the meats instead of all the yummy salads and veggies. I loved wearing shorts yesterday but my thighs were burnt to a crisp (likely due to no sun exposure in the past decade)!! I may have to switch back to capris today to avoid further damage. We are supposed to have a beautiful day today with highs in the upper 70's.

Happy Memorial Day! Thank a vet! Hug one if you can!

Hi everyone,
Sitting here at camp thinking of you all. Just looked at all the posts while I've been away these past 2 days. Lots of ups and downs. I have to tell you guys that I am so encouraged by all of the honesty you guys post. THANK YOU.
Overall, I have done well all week. Not 100%, but I don't think I did much damage. I was pretty proud of myself for resisting everything. It actually wasn't that difficult. I don't anticipate a weightloss when I get back home(tonight, but won't weight until tomorrow morning). When I am out of town, I have the hardest time doing the 'doody' if any of you have any recommendations for that, send em' my way .
Will check in tonight or tomorrow. HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

and I hope that everyone had a happy (and uneventful) Memorial Day!
I am in Hollywood, Florida for a conference about psych meds-- focusing on autism, depression, and -- get this - binge eating. I will share what I find out tomorrow (someone is working on a drug to combat binge eating) if you are interested.

I'm at the Westin on the 24th floor, facing the ocean. HOW GORGEOUS the ocean is (was. ..it's black now) I love the pounding surf, and it is POUNDING!

My best friend is with me- she's from upstate NY, where it was -- waht 49 degrees this morning? and it was in the mid- 80s here, windy and really nice - not too muggy.
She wanted to get a pedicure, so we walked - must've been amile to find the ONLY pediocure place open in this town! Then we got some Cuba food (she didn't like her ground beef in tomato sauce dish but I loved the insides of my Cuban sandwich. We walked back to the hotel along the beach (NO sea glass to be seen, only a few pieces of shells, some coral) -- changed into our suits, jumped the surf, lay on the beach, lay by the pool (i have david sedaris' new book it was making me cry with laughter), then inside to change before we took a cab to -- Nordstrom's rack!! that was fun - i found some pseudo western shirts and two pairs of pants -- one is a SIZE O WHA???? well I still have fat around my middle, but my legs are sticks and my butt is non existent. I am SO GOOD WITH THAT. When the Rack closed at 9, we strolled over to a Sushi bar and tried a whole bunch of stuff- Snapper cerviche (excellent), a vegetable broth with an egg mixed in (way bland), cold spinach sort of timbales but not (blech couldn't bit into them), stir-fried portobello mushrooms, zucchini and onions (yum and I didn't have any onions) tuna sashimi (extra yum), and finally i can't remember then ame of the fish (sablefish, yeah that's it), but it was cod with a miso sauce covering it (way too sugary). So- way too much food, but way fun! No champagne tonight either- just two miller lites. tomorrow I'm at the conference all day, probably with no food. Tomorrow night we'll treat ourselves to something nice.

Laura, all I can say is hang in there! Our bodies can be very inconsistent and sometimes they need some catching up time. My weight loss has been like that. I started in January and had great loss the first month. Then I had almost no loss in February. March and April were decent loss months but now May has been almost no loss again. If you're sticking to the plan and avoiding or limiting the foods that tend to stall people, I bet your weight loss will start again soon (likely with a whoosh). I know it's frustrating. That is when I would usually give up and quit in the past. Hang in there though! It is so worth it!!! Let us know if there is anything you're struggling with or anything we can do to help!
