Thank you Shelly! I know it's you guys that kept me on track. I appreciate you all VERY much!!

I was thinking that maybe it could be time to change up things just a bit. Maybe add in some veggies? I've been on a really strict induction for almost 3 months now. I'm not feeling a "need" for the veggies, but maybe my body is trying to tell me something? I have a Doctors appointment on Monday, it's my 4 month check up after my surgery for cervical cancer, so I'll wait until after that to make any changes and see how my body does this weekend.

I'm going to rudely poke my nose into your challenge -- just to tell you something really corny that you already know... My trainer -- who is a close friend of mine -- told me when I started my diet program: "The ONLY thing between you and your goal is time."

And he gave me this really corny story about how I could walk from my house in Ann Arbor to I-94 and, as long as I stay on I-94 and keep walking in the direction of Chicago (my beloved hometown), I will eventually get home to my family. But if I don't fight against the wind -- if I turn around and walk with the wind at my back -- then I'll never make it to Chicago because walking in the wrong direction can only take me to the wrong destination.

I've cut my food portions, so my body physically doesn't have enough material to store as fat. I'm hormonally changing my body chemistry to create an internal environment that is more lipolytic (fat-releasing) and catabolic with regard to fat breakdown. My trainer had me read an INSANE AMOUNT of research and basic physiology so that I could understand, beyond doubt, that I was taking steps in the right direction on the road that inevitably leads to bodyfat loss.

It doesn't always *feel* inevitable. But mathematically and physiologically, taking the right steps along the right path makes fat loss inevitable. Even in our darkest and most doubt filled moments, the laws of physics are always going to be on our side while we're walking in the right direction.

MtherGoos you'll get there... my body is doing all kinds of crazy stuff this month too...I was down to 221.3 amd today am at 225.4... sigh. That's more than I started the month out at. Just gotta keep going. We'll get there.

Well we decided to go celebrate tonight instead of tomorrow night since DH best friend asked him to help him with cattle tomorrow. We ended up at Outback steak house. I had the 4 course meal, chicken tortilla soup (10 carbs for a small bowl!) salad, a steak (Yay! Lol) w/ asparagus then my cheesecake i'd wanted so bad. Well talk about disapointed! The cheesecake wasn't even that great for about 40 stinkin carbs wasted on not so great cheesecake! Already started guzzling water like crazy Lol and already having major tummy upset
but getting to go eat just me and hubby was awesome!! We laughed so much so it was well worth it. Back on plan as of Now!

Sorry for not posting much lately. It's been a busy week and sadly I didn't have anything exciting to report. After losing 40 pounds in 4 months, my body has just decided to take a break and stop losing weight. I've been reading about weight set point theories and I wonder if that is what I'm dealing with now as I haven't changed my diet or activity level much since I began. There hasn't been much consistency in my pace of weight loss but I haven't gone this long with no weight loss since I began. I certainly have no plans of stopping this WOE and I know it will eventually go down again. I just have to stay strong and stick with it. I must say it is frustrating though! Thanks Trillex, DQ and everyone else for your words of wisdom and encouragement on a regular basis!! I know I need it!

Since my hubby is in Afghanistan, I will celebrate our anniversary today by going shopping for some new clothes. I've changed sizes a few times now and I just don't have enough clothes. I started at size 18 but quickly got down to a 14. I bought a bunch of new size 14 stuff but they're all way too big now. I didn't want to buy a bunch of size 12 with the hopes I would continue to drop and get in 10's soon. However, I think at this point it's safe to buy more 12 stuff as I think I could be here a while. I hate wearing really baggy clothes now, but before I started this I wanted things as baggy as possible! I look forward to clothes shopping now.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. It's rainy here, but hopefully it won't last. Keep posting as I get so much inspiration from you all!

I kinda knew that would happen since I
went Up in weight last time I had the
temp crown put on. I'm swelled up so Hopefully it'll be gone in a day or so
May 9th- 154 still holding on to fluid
May 10th- 152.6 Looks like some fluid
went away! Yay!
May 11th- 153.8! Geez! Wth body?

May 14th- 152.8! Thank God!

May 16th- 151.8! Please Keep going
Down! May 17th- 150.0! I'll admit that
number made me squeal a little. In a Good way!

May 19th- 151.8 yep the cheesecake showed up.
