Fat bombs??

I've seen fat bombs mentioned a few times but haven't a clue what they are. Is there a purpose to them? Thanks x

There are several threads and probably a thousand posts with different recipes.
I am new here, but basically it's a small portion of a mixture of lots of fatty ingredients that really satiates hunger. I just started them last week. The one I tried yesterday and really liked was a recipe from LiterateGriffin, basically thirds coconut oil, butter and P-Butter (I used almond) and wee bit of salt. Many yummy variations. Search by fat bombs. Someone, perhaps yours truly, will come back with a link for you.

I Love them because they increase my fat and help w/ the sweet tooth and hunger. I use coconut oil, butter, almond butter and sweetner. Very yum!

Keep 'em in the freezer or fridge and they won't be greasy. Here is a recipe I use. I don't like the taste of coconut so I use organic refined coconut oil. It has no taste.

If you're not eating enough fat because you prefer meats like chicken, turkey, or fish, fat bombs help keep you in ketosis and out of "stalls."

Ah fat bombs, the reason I am still on plan. The coconut oil, Hershey chocolate, steveia, almond butter, and regular butter is awesome. I make them and eat them almost nightly and have had tremendous success.

Do you think they actually help you lose Kemp, or just keep you going?

I do not know about actual loss, but it does help keep me going. I do know that since I started taking them my weight loss has stayed the same maybe a even better because I had already loss 35 pounds when I started them and have loss another 10 since and that was in 14 days. So they have kept me at a pace that is acceptable to me. Know that when I am on plan I expect to average no less than .75 pounds a day average over the long haul. Sorry such a long answer.

Yes that pace would be acceptable to me too! I'm a slow loser so it's a struggle not to get disheartened. The fat bombs sound like a good idea for when I get an attack of the munchies in the evenings and need something sweet :-)

I just use coconut oil and a small chunk of 100% chocolate melted. I put it into mini cupcake papers and freeze. I then store in fridge for snacking. Yum!

I don't see why not. I just made another batch tonight and when I grabbed the refined coconut oil out of the cupboard it was liquid like MCT oil because our house is warm here in AZ. If you tolerate MCT oil OK then you should be all right.

OR...you could go for the Cream Cheese Muffin recipe. I made them 2 days ago, a whole dozen. And they were gone by that evening. Boy they were good, though.

I thought I had royally screwed up, but was told that I actually just made it a fat fast day. First time I'd heard of that. I start day 5 tomorrow.

I'm in Lake Havasu in AZ, and my coconut oil isn't solid any more either! LOL I don't think it will be again until December!
