It's one slip up. It happens to all of us. Turn it into a victory by regaining control immediately. Get right back on track, drink lots of water, and stay extra low carb for the next day or two. When it becomes a problem is when we let one slip up turn into a full day, then a full week, then.......

You can do this. Right back on track!

Stay strong and get right back to it! We all slip up from time to time so don't beat yourself up too much! Use it as extra motivation to be extra good for a few days and drink Lots of water! Hang in there!

For me, when I have thoughts of going off plan, sometimes I will just start reading posts on this forum and I am reminded why it is a bad idea!

One little slip is not the end of the world! Get straight back on track and be good to yourself we all slip up but it's how we deal with those slip ups that's important. Long term this is just a drop in the ocean xxx

Thanks everyone! I tried to talk to DH to stop it before I blew it, his answer was "well I thought you were going back to weight watchers..." Ate the junk, then came downstairs, posted, crawled into bed and cried myself to sleep! Just woke up and am feeling better about hopping right back on the wagon! Gonna try to plan a bunch of meals, then run to the store, and cook my arse off!!

Planning ahead helps a LOT! I also try to get a lot of my cooking done on the weekends so my work days are easier. Today I made a big batch of cabbage stir fry with 2 lbs. of ground pork and mushrooms. I also made a LC cheesecake. Tomorrow I plan to make egg muffins with bacon, spinach and cheese. That way I will have easy breakfast and lunch options every day. Since I change what I cook each weekend I don't get bored with the food. Also, having a LC cheesecake in the fridge helps keep me on plan!

Stay focused and make it fun with a good variety of food! We are here for you!!

Nothing new here, no loss to be recorded, had to taste a friends cake that she made for me this morning at a baby shower. I took a LC cheesecake with only 2c per slice, and she made a flourless choc cake, but forgot that I am not eating sugar. Omg. I hate when people try to help me by making me cake...I don't want cake anymore, I want to be thin!!!! So, I tasted it and I just pray that I don't gain from a tablespoon of choc cake.

This morning I was 195.6, but I had a late dinner and ate too much crackslaw so I hope for some scale movement in the morning unless I am out of ketosis.

I haven't weighed for a couple of days, because after falling off the wagon last weekend, I just haven't been able to get back on and I can just feel I have gained loads. But I am back on it today, and have made DH hide the scales from me until next weekend. If I see how much I've gained, my motivation will be even less than it is now
Going to power through this week, and get back into the mindset.

I'm only having 2 meals a day on some days as I sleep late in the holidays - got another week off before I'm back to work I'm also keeping my proteins down and increasing fat.I really want to make it to 155 this month - spring is here and I want to wear summer clothes comfortably.

moniruth don't even allow yourself a taste, a bite or anything off plan - its sabotage! Tell people you don't eat cake! Even though I adore chocolate I just tell people 'I don't eat chocolate thank you'! You may well need to wait until ketosis kicks back in - have you got any testing sticks?

Julie I'm with you on the planning - I eat safe most of the time and even eat the same thing for days at a time if I know it works

gungadinn1997 glad you are back on the wagon - you may need to be patient and wait a few days for any movement but stay on track and it will happen eventually - lots of fat is the way to go!

PassionateFire and cmcd1070 nice numbers!

Trinigirl my advice would be to read the boards and the Atkins web site - but eat 'clean' no bars shakes or artificial sweeteners if you can. Look at the menus of others and plan, plan, plan your menus and shop in advance, take LC snacks out with you and don't have even 1 bit off plan - this plan is very unforgiving of cheats Ask away if you need any help!

To everyone I've missed have a fab LC Sunday - stay on track you guys

Heading to an amusement park today with my boys and hoping I can find good food choices there. Will try to smuggle in some Atkins bars and almonds as emergency back-up food. Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day outside.

Rough weekend - Thurs, Fri, Sat. I had my cousin staying with me and we did a lot of touristy things. I didn't do bad -in fact I'm really proud of myself for how well I did. We had pizza and I had a salad, we went to my FAVORITE breakfast place and I had a hamburger, we went to Cheesecake factory and I had a salad, salm- on, broccoli and asparagus and the low carb cheesecake (I don't want to hear about the bad side of this, it was this or raspberry chocolate so I did well).

Despite doing so well I gained a bit, I didn't lose. I ate too many carbs even though most were good. I don't think I ate enough fat and probably way too many calories and sodium. I didn't track once.

So far so good I really thought I'd screwed things up last night. We were out and about and the kids were 'starving' so we stopped to eat at Chili's. I got a steak and side salad, but when I got home I checked the nutrition and it said the steak had 7 carbs in it which is weird. But that with the side salad would have put me over my limit for the day. I guess it didn't do much damage though thank goodness. This is going easier than I thought it would be appetite wise so far. I'm never hungry which is really nice after being on low fat/low calorie diets where I was always hungry. Everyone looks like they're doing so good

Nice I may have to make my goal lower if I hit 215 by 4/15 I will adjust my goal to 210 but I really don't see this continuing for long!
