Just a quick check in,

I finally cracked on surgery day(Tuesday) and broke plan. He had a new valve and quadruple bypass surgery. I am still off plan just not going to crazy. I finally took a day and came back to Houston last night to recharge the batteries of life(see the wife) and am heading back to Beaumont now to start the rehab with the Dad. Hope to get out of ICU today. It will be along road back. I will be back on plan hopefully Sunday or Monday when I can get back in to Houston and start back on a normal schedule.

Are you eating enough? Maybe post your menus. You may need to add some fats? Also its very slow when you are within 10bls of your goal.

I'm the same, managed OWL fo 18 months but after Christmas I had carb creep so had to get into induction. Its taken me 3 months really and I only started losing by adding in the CO and cutting out my so called lc dressing - so far so good but I'm a really slow loser

Kemp, we're all here for you and glad you're hanging in there.

I hit the 26 pound mark today!! I was aiming for 25, but sailed right past it! Just hoping it doesn't go back up tomorrow! I've been losing so well this week that I'm making sure to eat the exact same thing, at the exact same time every day so that I don't jinx anything! LOL

My original plan was to stay off the scale, but, as you can see, I have no willpower!

Thanks Cheshire Girl! I realize I probably shouldn't be so obsessive about eating the same exact thing, but I also hope I stay that way for a while longer! LOL

Wow! There are some nice losses being reported! KUTGW everyone!!

Trinigirl, the best advice I can give is to stick with it! It is tough in the beginning but share your struggles with us and we can try to help. Also, post some of your menus and we can help ensure you're on the right track. This WOE just gets easier and easier the longer you stick with it and it WORKS!

I am FINALLY back to my Easter morning weight! It took a week to get back to normal after one cheat meal. Lesson learned......no more cheat meals until I hit goal and switch to maintenance! My hubby returned to Afghanistan Thursday and now he only has 10 weeks left. I hope to get much closer to my goal weight during that time. I think it is way too ambitious to reach goal by then, but I will certainly make a good effort! He was so excited to see how much weight I've lost so far and he was very complimentary the whole time he was home for his R&R. That just made me even more motivated! Tomorrow I'm taking my boys to an amusement park and it will be the first time in years that I won't be afraid of not fitting on the rides! Since I carry the bulk of my weight in my mid-section, there have been times I've avoided many rides for fear of not being able to buckle/latch in. It happened once on a kiddie ride years ago in Branson, MO and I was mortified!!! I no longer have that fear so looking forward to getting on the rides with my boys tomorrow!!

Hope everyone has a great day! We are finally getting better weather.....supposed to be in the 60's today!

April goal: 175
4/1: 188
4/2: 188
4/3: 187
4/4: 187
4/5: 186
4/6: 185
