Hi! Can I join in? Yesterday (April 1) was Induction Day #1 for me, and it went great. I have a little headache this morning but I'm assuming that's to be expected.

I love Atkins and feel really motivated right now to make this a lifetime WOE. Thanks for all the support that can be found here, I am hoping to lose 15-20lbs this month, which is high but it's the start of induction and we all know that the first few weeks are awesome.

Looking forward to getting to "know" you all!

Thank you! Quick question, I am munching away on an Atkins bar that is approved for all stages, but wondering how it is OK to eat a bar with chocolate and nuts in it.

Thoughts?

Good morning to all. May I join? I am not new to low carb having lose 40#, but have been away from it for a while and would like to get to my goal sometime soon. I have been bouncing around in the 130's for a long time and since I am 5'1", need to be around 120 - 125. My official April weigh-in is 140 having gained up from 132 in the last few weeks, so have to get this under control now. Have been counting calories and WW, but seems I need to get back to low carb for quick loss. I would like to be at 130 by May 1, if possible.

Hi everyone. My name is Jason and I am brand new. I have decided to try to lose 100 pounds over the next 8-10 months. I started at 295 a week and a half ago and as of today I am 284. So I would love to join the challenge

Allie, that's a really good question about the Atkins bar. I don't know the official company explanation, but Dr. A himself probably wouldn't approve that for Induction . I would save it for an emergency only.

Personally I didn't use them for the first 4 months of extended induction but I did eat them during OWL, now that I'm back doing induction again I'm eating clean with no Atkins products or sweetners etc. Everyone is different though - good luck xxx

I too avoid the actual Atkins products. I try to keep it clean, with mostly just meat, eggs, cheese, mayo, butter, cocout oil, and things like that. That's just me though, it may be that they work ok for you. The older I get, the harder it is too lose! So I have to be really strict to keep the weight coming off.

Alliebee I personally would wait on the bars. I know they say they are for all levels of Atkins But I tend to stall Big time on them. I eat them emergency only. Like in a situation where it's either a lc bar Or HC Junk.

Hi everyone, I hope it's not too late to join! I don't own a scale (I've been fat for a long time - I'm planning on purchasing one asap!) BUT I do have goals of getting on the treadmill 3 times per week and drinking more water. Is that ok for goals until I get a scale?

beautiful sunny morning here is Cheshire which is rare so going for a nice country walk - have a wonderful LC day all - we can do this!!!!

nice to have you with us! Why not try to weigh somewhere else but even if you can't why not start the LC way of eating while you are feeling motivated? We are all here to support you and there are lots of menu thread to give you the general idea of what to eat. Check out the food porn thread for more meal ideas - good luck!

I always find if I'm stuck a tin of tuna, mayo and a bag of lettace form Tesco Express of Sainsburys local hits the spot! dont go hungry!

I'll be more careful today. I went to bed full, so I know I ate dinner late.

How do yall use the ketostix? stream of urine or cup. My results showed regative this morning. I'm defenitely a work in progress.

Kemp, where are you? I need you. How's your dad? One of my father in laws passed away on Sunday, so I'll be out of town again friday to sunday. . I did good last weekend, so I know I can hold true to the plan while traveling.
