DQ: it's a great night here in DC for a long walk! Although I heard on the news we are getting a ton of rain next week so this nice weather will be short lived. The rain should help my allergies though! This pollen is killing me this year!

Hello Everyone...
There is so much good news everyday...
Dairy Queen, loved the crab cakes, I never think of eating crab meat, but I think I'll have to make some for my family soon...looked so yummy. I also loved you take on Fast food, I grew up on a small Island and so fast food was never in my life before coming here to live I still never stop for a coffee and donuts, or fast food I have eaten fast food a few time and enjoyed the exprience but my thing has always been icecream and cake like stuff..but home made cakes...and of course binge eating to heal exhaustion and stress....and night time eating..
Shelly and Passionate I hear you on Dentist, I still have high blood pressure when ever I have to have my teeth cleaned or worked on...it's amazing how a bad childhood exprience can tante something as an adult..but you did it Shelly.
LoriAs and Kemp you are both my motivation for working out...I don't get to a gym but my daily work load as a landscape keeps me moving..and I find with just a 5lb weight loss it has made a big diffrence in my daily life..
Kemp I know what you mean about a pound being a pound, but when I was young and running for my university my weight was 135lbs at 5.9...and I had Drs put me back on the scale a few times to check my weight since at 135lbs I wore a size 2...yes a size 2..because I had so much lean muscle and made the weight on the scale look high for what they saw..and so that's why I know that I wanted to change my eating habits...
Today while I was driving I thought of how I ate say 10 years ago....I loved and enjoy food but it did not consume my life and that's how I want to be be again, I want to enjoy food but not be thinking about it as I did, I ate everything in small serving sizes and only had the treats like a treat, not everyday, just once in a while and as DQ said only the really really good stuff...
So it's almost a month that I started on this journey and I lost and kept off 5lbs, and although like us all I do weigh in most mornings...and at first I wanted to see the scale go down but it has not...so this is what I've learn't from my first month..is that I can go without killing someone for food, that I'm enjoying not thinking about food all the time..I do miss just having cake or ice cream as the weather goes warmer..but I can make myself a hot chocolate or have a bit of highfat greek yogurt and a few berries and I'm ok..I realized that my biggest trigger for carbs is exhaustion, I was so exhausted last night that the craving were great, so I had some greek yogurt, berries and a scoop of crunchy hazelnut butter and it was great and then went to bed..
As I said before I surrer from asthma, and have allergies and I'm hoping that this change will assist me, I'm on so much medication and I would love to get off some at least...tonight I have a headache but I'm trying to stay away from medication and will just go to bed, early day due tomorrow for work...long day ahead.

Welcome Mamabear and Justjessie, you will have really wonderful supportive friends here.
Lori, you are living my a bit of my life and with two older boys 30 and 28 these teen years will pass, just ride it out and be the wonderful parents you are and it will all turn out for the very very best..and the younger ones will be great also. My two youngerst are now 16 and 14 ..you are doing great with all the stress....big hugs for those difficult days..
kizz let us know all about your garcinai cambogia pills, I am not up on all the new diets and research that have gone into weight loss vitmins and pills, but if it's safe and you are successful in your goal then that's the way to go for you...
I hope I have not missed anyone here...
I believe that just being on this board and posting and taking about what is happening in your life and receiving no judgment and just wonderful support has change all our lives for the better.
Let us all celebrate our love of life...and friendships..

Geez Someone Hide the cream cheese and strawberries from me!! My Aunt made the sugar version of cc stuffed strawberries so I thought i'd try a sf version. Omg to good! Had 6! And I wonder why I can't get to my goal!?

After yesterday I should have gained weight, long day and long story but I'm holding at 155lb...hoping to see 150lbs by end of May..

came from! Praying it's gone tomorrow

I felt like I was Starving All day yesterday for some reason! I was afraid to get on that scale this morning for fear those strawberries and Cream cheese did me in. Thank God it didn't though! Definetly not something i'll Keep around though cause I know Me and i'd flounder on them Lol

This morning (April 29th) I hit 190.6...OMG! I just hope that I can magically get under 190 tomorrow morning or on May 1st. Very exciting!!!

Thanks cmcd!!! I tend to lose weight pretty fast, but I also gain it at light speed lol. If I just look at a cookie I gain 5lbs. I think that's why Atkins works so well for me. I love me some sugar, but my body does not.
