my crab cake recipe is REALLY simple.
For one pound of crab meat, I use
One BIG egg. I whisk it in a mixing bowl.
Then I add the crabmeat, some salt and pepper, a little cayenne and paprika.
Hah -- that's IT! sometimes i use two eggs if they are medium sized.
I carefully mix it up without hurting the lumps of meat.
I get a non-stick pan pretty hot (on high), add some butter to coat, and then i DROP big spoons full of the crab mixture in the pan. I turn down to about medium high and when the bottoms are nice and brown, I carefully (They are fragile and sometimes i use two spatulas to do it) turn them over, turn down to a little above medium, and let cook a bit -- until the bottoms are brown too, and then they're done.
That's it! I'll try to remember to take some pix tonight.

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

Thanks Kemp! My rings are loser this afternoon and while my new crown isn't hurting my gums Sure are!
PF I had a Horrible dentist when I was a kid and he ruined me towards Almost all dentists and dental procedures now. Thankfully the dentists I see now are Awesome! So gentle and kind so it makes a Huge differance!

I hear ya! When I was in grade 8, my bottom teeth were very crowded so my dentist took a little hand saw and started sawing between them to make room. I was too scared to protest so I let him finish, I've been a wreak with dentists ever since!

O M G PF! That is horrible! My dentist back then didn't numb me completly before he started drilling and when I started screaming he started Yelling at me to stop being a Brat! Thankfully my Mom was there and put a stop to his rant!

Crabcakes
were GREAT. i forgot some parts to my recipe, so here is what I did -- MAYBE one carb per crabcake (and probably fewer):

Whisk two large eggs in a mixing bowl.
Then add the crabmeat, some salt and pepper, a little cayenne, paprika and bay seasoning. BUT please season as you see fit.
Mix carefully and gently with a fork. You don't want to break the crabmeat into smaller pieces.
I also added a whopping spoonful of mayonnaise as well as a healthy amount of lemon juice.

Get your non-stick pan pretty hot (on high), add some butter to coat the pan, and then drop big spoons full of the crab mixture in the pan ( I make three smallish crabcakes per 10" diameter pan). I turn the heat down to about medium high and when the bottoms are nice and brown, I carefully (They are fragile and sometimes i use the spatula and a big spoon to do it) turn them over, then turn the heat down to a little above medium, and let them cook a bit until the bottoms are brown too --- and then they're done.

my menu yesterday, maybe ya'll can see where I went wrong to Gain
Breakfast- 2 coffees w/ hwc and a LC bar. Had to Run to my Mom/dads to take care of my cousins 6 mo old baby
Lunch- salad with grilled chicken w/ ranch.
Supper- 2 small ribs, 2 hot dogs (1 carb each) 1 piece of steak about the size of a small saucer. Maybe smaller. Water. Hubs grilled supper.
I know that's a lot of protein so could That make me gain? I'm so frustrated I Seriously wanna cry

Usually the LC bars don't bother me. I don't eat them all the time, but I keep them around for times like yesterday morning when I don't have time to fix something. My mom was supposed to keep my cousins baby but my great aunt was put in the hospital so my Mom went to be with her, so I ended up with the baby I knew i'd better take something with me to eat since my Parents don't LC.

Shelly - I think we just have to stick with it. I am going into my 2nd stall. I'm worried that it will last a month like the last one. But we know that this WOE is what is best for us. I enjoy looking back at the chart and seeing the overall down trend.

Shelly..first of all, you look terrific. Don't stress too much. You will will will start losing again. You are eating fine (except for those blechy hot dogs but even i will have a bite of a dog once in a great while!...you do know what's in them? I mean, in addition ti pig lips? Heee). Just keep the big picture in mind, always. If i end up with no loss this month, that's ok! I've maintained and i'm slim. That's all good...no, it's great!!! You've done a helluva job and just look at your progress!!! No crying! Xxooo

I'm not a Challenger but I just want to point out, Shelly, that you had a serious operation relatively recently. And you had the type of operation that strongly interferes with the balance of the hormones that control body composition and these changes may interfere with the way these hormones interact with neurotransmitters and with the metabolism.

To be honest with you, I haven't read anything specifically about how these changes behave in women after a hysterectomy. my menu yesterday, maybe ya'll can see where I went wrong to Gain
Breakfast- 2 coffees w/ hwc and a LC bar. Had to Run to my Mom/dads to take care of my cousins 6 mo old baby
Lunch- salad with grilled chicken w/ ranch.
Supper- 2 small ribs, 2 hot dogs (1 carb each) 1 piece of steak about the size of a small saucer. Maybe smaller. Water. Hubs grilled supper.
I know that's a lot of protein so could That make me gain? I'm so frustrated I Seriously wanna cry

Shelly: Let me just say that before and after picture shows a great LC who has done a great job of losing the weight and keeping it off. I really commend you for doing it and doing it right. I hope to be able to post a before and after at some point in the future.

DQ: Meh is better than, OH MY GOD I BUT IT ALL BACK ON!!!! lol. You are doing great and your dedication is a great motivator for me.

Lorias: Your a work out machine. Running and shredding. It will show good on Saturday. I hope to see some results in the morning myself.

Just got back from the gym working out with the weights again. I seem to feel so much better doing weights than just cardio. And I am super pro cardio. The foot injury may be somebody telling me to do more weights and it worked. So start of week three doing weights only and the scale is not dropping real fast but the clothes are fitting better.

Has anyone got a cure for leg cramps? I'm getting them a lot particularly at night

I have tweaked again today, less coffees and less protein
