My Wife Thought I Was Nuts!!

I got sick of boiling and peeling eggs so I told my wife the next time we're at Costco we're going to look for pre-cooked, peeled eggs. She said no such thing exists there but lo and behold... You can get 2 dozen for $4.... Well worth IMHO!!

It depends how long they keep and how long you NEED them to keep depending how many you consume.

Well the expiration date is May but I will say, they're better for deviled eggs or egg salad rather than just eating them plain. Definitely not as good as fresh-boiled....

You can use them in sauces. At least me, since I make a lot of sauces/spreads/dips and often need something to bulk them without adding unnecessary carbs of screwing the macros, I add one or two hardboiled eggs and blend until smooth. It does wonders.

I bought this As Seen on TV "Eggies" contraption to boil eggs without the shell. It was on the clearance table at Big Lots for $6.00 so I figured it was worth a shot.

It comes with 6 little plastic "pods" to that are the shape of eggs. Each pod has 4 individual parts to put together each time. You have to "oil" up the inside of each one by hand (spray cooking spray on a paper towel then wipe down each one).

Although the reviews are horrible for this product I can say that it does work. Whether or not it's "easier" after all the prep and cleanup compared to just peeling an egg is debatable.

I will say however though that the freshed boiled egg I ate this morning was 100 times more flavorful than the rubber balls I bought from Costco

My local grocery store carries those and I LOVE them! I keep them in the refrigerator at work and make egg salad for lunch. So so convenient!!!
