Hi all - hope you had a great weekend.

B: coffee, 2 hb eggs, greek yogurt (12c)
S: salami and cheese slices (3c)
L: green beans, mixed veggies, steak (3c)

Not sure for the rest of the day as of yet. Tonight I want to make some egg salad. Got to use up the eggs from the Easter bunny. Now that all the chocolate is out of the house I can get back on full time track! Luckily I didn't do much damage but I did make myself stall out for a week.

Heey! Sorry, just reading this. Heat up a nonstick pan and throw in a mound of shredded cheddar and let it melt and bubble, when the bottom looks deep brown, flip it and give it a few more minutes. Take it out and drape it over a narrow bottle or glass on its side so the cheese disc hardens into the shape of a taco shell. Fll it with stuff and enjoy!

Monday

B - rotisserie drumstick
L - hot wings and ranch
D - chicken salad wrapped in romaine leaves

I still don't feel like I'm losing weight and feeling very frustrated and not- hungry. Just want to see some progress to keep me motivated. I haven't weighed myself yet, planning to do that every Tuesday, so we will see what tomorrow brings.

(Should mention this is day 8.)

Alliebee - give yourself at least 2 weeks before you begin to get frustrated (too much). Your body needs to adjust and recognize that you are eating differently and that it needs to pull its fuel from your body directly rather than from your food as it has in the past. You'll get there!! Did you take any measurements along with the scale? Sometimes you'll change in inches before you will see a scale change.

Today:
B: yogurt and coffee (nice variation I have huh?)
L: ham and cheese rolls, water

That's as far as I got. After school I have to visit a friend who is sitting shiva. Then home, dinner (not sure if DH will cook tonight) and then off to bed, bath and beyond to pick up a gift for a gf's shower.

I'm not going to try to post my plan for the day since I can't seem to stick to it, so I'll just log what I ate after I eat it!

B - 2 boiled eggs, sf decaf suisse mocha (3)

20 oz detox water

Hi Allie,

I'm an induction baby myself so I'm certainly no expert but it seems to me that your menus are induction approved. I did Atkins before and lost tons of weight immediately. 6 years later, it's very slow going. My first week of induction, I only lost 2lbs. Week 2 I lost 4lbs the gained back 3 in water retention. I'm currently on day 16 and down 4lbs.

But I know from my own experience this DOES work and look at all the success stories on the board! =) You will be one of those stories too.

Great idea for those taco shells!

Know that while I keep my count of net carbs at 20 (18-25) range, i do allow for foods that are not on the strict induction list like greek yogurt and almonds. Plus the occasional sugar free chocolate bite.

So today Sunday
B: coffee, sweetner and milk, flax muffin - 4c (may need to edit that)
L: bacon cheeseburger on a salad - 8c
Snack: salami and provolone slice, 1 liter of water - 3c

D - i haven't really planned yet. Probably should since it is almost 6. Probably tuna salad with celery sticks.
What if you don't hit even 10 per day?

I don't know...for some folks that works. There are seveal folks on the boards here that eat vlc (very low) or nc (no carb).

For me that means not enough veggies and my body doesn't like to be too low.

My husband has been on (his version) of Atkins for a week while still eating about 100c per day and has lost 8lbs already. I'm eating less than 20c per day and i'm down 3 lbs in 2.5 weeks. It's so discouraging. =(

Men are crazy when it comes to losing. Don't know why they react so differently.

You will get there!
