Hi y'all. My weigh in today showed -2. yay!
Still doing induction, I'm not really hungry. I'm trying to change my bad habits so I'm listening to my body but I'm really not eatting much. Today I had: B) 1 egg scramble with 1 sausage link L) 1 hotdog Of course I've been drinking at least 80 ounces of water daily. But I'm not hungry for supper. .fly |

HarmsWay, I use a tart pan so they end up the size of hamburger buns. When I tried just using a cookie sheet, they ended up a big mess and didn't fluff up enough. They are tasty regardless of the shape though! :-)
Congrats MtherGoos!! KUTGW! |

Thanks for the oopsie info, going to get it done and let you know, just have to get some cream of tartar.
Fly and Mothergoose:nice losses today way to go and keep it up. Went to dinner with the wife tonight, she had a 5 percent loss in body fat in the same challenge. So we celebrated with some crawfish and oysters. I did have one mich. ultra but other than that all on plan. going to work out in the morning also, just do not want to miss a day |

ahhhh i'm back home -- and i'm being told that it might snow tomorrow night - as MANY AS FIVE INCHES and MAYBE MORE???? Hey--- im going back to Miami!
so i trolled through the airport-- it was a LONG hike -- and ijust want to say that there are PLENTY PLENTY of induction friendly foods in there. I just didn't want any of them! i had a class of wine before boarding the plane an a tiny glass of wine on the plane and I'm having a glass of champers now at home. i have to say that i did see the SUN in miami, albeit for a short amount of time! my feet are swollen though-- airplane! kemp when do you find out who won?

dang someone posted a 30 min video (youtube) with a nutritional ketosis guy ( I think) but he was talking about being on atkins LONG TERM (for years) and giving tips and talking about how bad it is to go add high carbs for even one day. But I can't find it? Know what I'm talking about? thanks in advance (ps interviewer was a clueless brit)

Passionatefire: You are in onderland, I am so jealous!!! LOL Good job on the pound loss.
Straphe: You to in the onderland area of happiness!!! If I would have seen that on the scale this morning I would have gone out and ran three miles real quick to lose some water and see the onderland. Even if it was a little fake. either way good job. Mydear: Thanks and you are welcome, come one 220's for you!!! Dairyqueen: Tonight is the night I find out. I also had a beer, not wine but alcohol for celebrating the end of the challenge last night and it did not do much still weighed the same this morning. March Goal 228 March 1 242 March 2 242 March 3 240 March 3 238 March 4 238 Total losses so far: 36 pounds in 36 days!!! I weighed the same this morning, not to worried about seeing that as I drank a beer last night and ate crawfish full of salt and bloat. I also had 10 carbs yesterday over twice my normal amount for the day. I was still purple this morning, so all good here hope to be good tomorrow after my workout tonight and seeing if I won the challengs.

so according to my scale at home I have lost 5 lbs this week BUT the scale at work says differently. Guess I just have to wait until the end of the week this week to see. hum....
Yesterday: B: 2 eggs with ham L: chicken, kale, tomato soup S: apple small D: grilled chicken caesar salad with walnuts - no croutons S: green tea This weekend I am hoping to get my smart drink with the Moringa mix. This stuff is supposed to be great and will take away all cravings! Hum...at least it will have all of the vitamins I need in it so I don't have to swallow all those pills every morning! Now I need to get my butt moving more. I do walk three days a week but I need to do more hard cardio type workouts. I had joined a gym last year and went 5-6 times a week. I just didn't lose any real weight and got so discouraged so I didn't continue the membership. Since then I have not really done a good cardio workout. |

Good morning & CONGRATS to all of our "losers"!
Snowing here again today so I'm really hoping that the gym isn't closed this evening. I really missed it last week when they were closed. My scale has been slightly up the last few days, but I feel a couple pound whoosh coming on soon.... B - yogurt, boiled chicken L - soup (egg drop with spinach and chicken added) D - italian beef omelet with 1/2 avocado coffee w/CO, lemon water to drink, prob a shake before the gym 3/1 - 208.8 3/2 - 210 3/3 - 209.8 3/4 - 210.2 3/5 - 210.2

fly, mothergoose and straphe-Way to go-awesome losses! mydear-I feel like I'm going to have to come there and fix that elevator myself! I can't believe this has been going on since Thanksgiving! Kemp-Congrats on losing 36 lbs in 35 days! Also, if your anything like me, I would stay away from those oopsie rolls. Anytime I have cream cheese or any dairy, I stall or even gain. Yesterday, I made cream cheese muffins (really mini cheesecakes with only 1 carb) and I am up a pound for it. I guess I am one of the unlucky ones who has to stay on a strict meat and egg diet to lose. So today, back to strict m/e fast: Yesterdays menu: B: eggs/bacon S: Cream cheese muffins L: taco salad D: Porterhouse steak/spinach S: cream cheese muffin March goal: 187 3/1: 191.6 3/2: 190.6 3/3: 190.6 3/4: 191.6 3/5: 191.8 |

I am new to LowCarbFriends but not new to low carb dieting. I have found that the only diet I can stick to for more than five minutes is low carb (lower the better!). My weight goes up and down through the same 20 pounds. Last summer I slimmed down a bit but, after a winter of dining high on the carb hill, I find myself cruising the stretchy end of my closet while my skinny summer jeans are lying on top of Mt Everest yet again. Summer is coming around again and it's time to summit the mount and grab those jeans back. My March goal is to stay on induction as long as possible, get into ketosis, and stay there. Exercise, yes, always a part of the plan. My new tool is supplements: recently I bought Julia Ross's book The Diet Cure and am following her suggestions to use L-glutamine, L-tyrosine and chromium GTF etc. to help curb the crash that always hits me at some point. I hope it works!! Looking forward to chatting here.
I have a tray of chicken thighs baking in the oven, am putting them in individual servings in the freezer for quick lunches (a few minutes reheat in the microwave, add cucumber slices, and lunch is ready). Last edited by hikeyourownhike; 03-05-2013 at 09:03 AM.. |

Omeprazole the problem???
Well I have been reading the internet and think I may know whats stopping my weight loss!
Just to give you the back story, I started this WOE back in 2011 and got down to 155 and maintained until )October last year when I was prescribed Omeprazole for acid reflux and even though my eating had not changed I started to slow gain. Over the past 6 months I have gained around 8-9 lbs and even when I'm 100% I'm not losing the way I used to ![]() So I'm stopping taking the tabs and going to see what happens??? March goal 158 Feb 28 162.4 March 1 161.4 100% day lost 2lbs this week so far seem to have broken the stall! March 2 161.4 100% day March 3 161.8 100% day - March 4 162.4 100% day - WTH!!!!! March 5 162.8 100% day - See what I mean!!!! Yesterdays food 2 scrambled eggs with butter and cheese canned tuna on green salad lc dressing roast chicken breast with large green salad lc dressing 1 sausage 1 carb s/f jello hwc coffees with cream lots of H2O Back later to catch up!!! xxx |

March Goal ~ 275
3/1 - 288.6 3/2 - 286.6 3/3 - 286.2 3/4 - 284.8 3/5 - 284.8 No loss today, but no gain either, so I guess I'll be thankful for that. Not really, I wanted that scale to move! Keeping at it today and hoping for maybe a little movement tomorrow!MyDear, I just wanted to say whan an inspiration you are! You're losses are keeping me motivated! DQ, not to rub it in, but it's 80 and sunny here! ![]() Kemp, fingers and toes crossed for you today! Can't wait to hear the results. Cheshire Girl, maybe now it's time for the whoosh fairy to visit you! Hopefully this will work for you! ![]() So, my niece and my daughter both know that there are some things I've wanted to do for a very long time, but, because of my weight, I can't do them. So my niece says that when I lose enough weight, she's taking me skydiving, and my daughter says that when I lose enough weight, she's taking me zip lining down Fremont Street in Vegas. Two of the things I've most wanted to do!! If I needed more motivation, that's definitely it!! ![]()

Wow! I feel out of the loop just not being able to post anything yesterday. We are administering our state standardized tests this week at my school and we can't use any electronic devices while proctoring the tests. And lucky me, even as the music teacher they are still having me proctor tests. Yahoo. So I may not be able to post much this week.
Anyways, I had one off meal this weekend. We went out to a fancy dinner and I just could not resist dipping some bread in the garlicky juice from the garlic mussels appetizer! We also had dessert...so...there you go. BUT, right back on plan the next day and I've been a rockstar since, so hoping for good losses this week! I have to get under 194 this week to make it count! I'll be checking in as often as I can. Keep up the good work everyone!

Kemp - good luck tonight!
Mydear - your grandson is adorable! He looks like a lot of fun! DQ - you always give great advice. And you are a traveling fool! Snow to beach. Love it! Well I just found out I am going to Florida in 3 weeks. I am super excited, but now am even more focused on meeting my March goal. 8 pounds is doable! |

Hey guys lots to catch up on, very active thread and I love it.
Lorias: You are burning it off big time, I also do the Meat and egg fast and work out almost every day and it has always paid off big time in the loss department. As of now a pound a day average but I know that will slow soon. PenPen: 5 lbs either way is awesome no matter what scale you are going down. Chelsey: Heading in the right direction we are, I love it. NIcki: I sense a whoosh for you ASAP!!! Kizz: I am going to add in carbs very slowly. After the weekedn and I get back into deep ketosis with meat and egg fast I am going to continue the workouts but add in somemore food, as long as I average 2-3 pounds a week I will be happy. Of course I say that now, we will see. And thansk so much for letting me know that. HYOH: ![]() Cheshire: Keep us posted on the results, I always want to know what gets in the way of our weight loss. Mothergoose: Same on the scale is always better than up on the scale by a long shot. Continue down down down!!!! lol Bethany: Way to get right back on girlie, we all slip, getting back on is the key. Well going to hit the club around 4pm for a workout and then the Club is having a party for all the challange members. Will know tonight if I win or lose. No matter what, I am a winner with 36 pounds gone!!! Will check in tonight when I get home. Last edited by kempmuhlbauer; 03-05-2013 at 12:49 PM.. |

Good afternoon all! So happy to catch up with everyone, it is quite chatty around these parts! So great to see some nice losses and others hanging tough!
Hike- welcome! And I loved your post. My jeans aren't on the top of mt. everest right now they are crammed at the way bottom of a "not quite yet" tupperware trunk of pre-pregnancy clothes! So I wanted to say Magnesium for the win! got things going this morning and I am thrilled. I hope if I keep taking it, it will continue to help. Did some callenetics this morning, after bailing on an Insanity workout last night about halfway through. I walked on the treadmill for a bit to make up for it, but I am finding I am just not into crazy intense cardio with teachers yelling or overly cheerfully "motivating" me right now. I think I would rather stick with the yoga, callenetics, pilates and lifting for now, with some treadmill work mixed in there. I am at 167 again today but I was really happy not to see it go up to 168. I have been toying with adding more fat into my diet and cruised trader joes and came home with some good stuff (smoked salmon dip...mmmmmmmm.) including some desperately needed coconut oil. March goal 160 (would love 158) 3/1- 168 3/2- 169 3/3- 168 3/4- 167 3/5- 167 Wanted to post what a typical day has been for me during this 2lb ping pong match then map out where to add some fat and see what everyone thinks! Also if there is anything that looks suspect please point it out! Typical day 7:00am - Bullet proof tea with 2TB HWC, 1TB CO, 1 stevia in the raw packet 9:00am - 4 scrambled eggs in 1TB butter, 1/2 cup green beans 1:00pm - last night's protein with some veggies snack somewhere in here is usually cheese - I am giving this up! 7:00pm - dinner protein with green veggies (roasted chicken with broccoli last night) I have been adding butter and blue cheese to my steaks to increase the fat, sometimes I dip my veg in a creamy dressing. Here is my thought for upping the fat The up the fat plan 7:00am - Bullet proof tea with 2TB HWC, 2TB CO, 1 to 2 TB butter, 1 stevia in the raw packet 9:00am - 4 scrambled eggs in 1TB butter, 1-2TB cream cheese 1:00pm - last night's protein with salad with creamy dressing if i need a snack, some CO or Coconut Butter 7:00pm - dinner protein (cooked in fat) with green veggies, will continue to add fat here, either with a dipping sauce or a ricer vegetable dish like creamed spinach or cauliflower bakes Pre or post work out an induction friendly fat bomb make with CO, butter and CButter maybe a little cocoa. or this might be my snack If I could ask for any opinions I would appreciate it, my concern is of course too much fat and I am worried about the dairy. I am still not sure how sensitive I am to it. Also I won't pull off that menu everyday also my fat intake will fluctuate, but its what I am shooting for. or do i need to restrict calories???? Thanks so much to anyone who has gotten through this novel of a post! and PS I just ate half a tub of smoked salmon dip while writing this...so my fat for today is up! thanks to all and keep up all of the hard work!!!
