I know I'm a few days late but can I join? I'm a week in on induction. My total lost this week was 10#. I realize most of that was water weight.
My goals this month: 1) exercise 3x weekly 2) lose 8# |

3-1. 150.2
3-2. 150.0 Well I was bad today . We went to the movies and they had free popcorn so I had some. I haven't had popcorn in about 2 years and it was so good. didn't have butter all over it but I am sure it was bad. I did do well yesterday though. I went out with some friends and I knew eating was going to be an issue. So I ate dinner before I went out and then I had an excuse why I was not eating all their pizza, chips, spinach dip with bread etc. I really was full from dinner so I wasn't even tempted. Does anyone have an IPic movie theater were they live? This place is awesome!!! The seats recline back and you get a pillow and a blanket. The seats we had also included a waiter to get food and drinks!! Yes the tickets are a little more expensive than normal theaters but it was so much fun!! |

Kemp, good luck with the weigh in! Welcome to the new challengers!
I ate way too much for dinner last night (all on plan) so no change on the scale today. I also skipped my workout in favor of the TV...... :-( I will do better today! I seem to do better when my big meal of the day is lunch. I ate a very small lunch yesterday so I was very hungry by dinner time, which resulted in me eating more than normal. I hope everyone has a great day! Keep your focus! Weight 3/1: 196 3/2: 194 3/3: 194

Thanks, Kemp. And congrats on nearing the end of your 40-day challenge.
LuyshuZ - We've been doing this around the same time. Keep on keeping on! AFM, Induction Day 3. Yesterday was tough - I felt sluggish and wanted fruit. I had jello with whipped cream for dessert which made things worse in terms of feeling grotty. A hug mug of Sleepytime tea made me feel much better. My overall calories were not very high and I was down a pound today for a total of 2 lost so far during Induction. B: Coffee with cream. Maybe eggs, maybe nothing (not hungry). L: Leftover cabbage/curry and steak S: protein shake D: Roasted chicken and brussels sprouts S: sugar free hot cocoa or tea What's everyone else up to today?

March Goal 228
March 1 242 March 2 242 March 3 240 Total losses so far 34 pounds in 34 days!!! The workout and the yard work seemed to have had a whoosh effect!!! I only had 1200 calories and 2 carbs yesteday. I like 2 pound loss mornings, makes the whole day more fun. So in more prep for the big weigh in in the morning I am going to head to the gym and try and do another killer cardio on the stair master. Then come home and spend another day in the yard. The last two days have been high 60 and sunny, perfect for yard work Julie:Thanks I really hope I win something, either way I have lost a lot of weight and feel great. Dairy queen: Thanks also. My wife wants to go to the movie tonigh, she is on a low calorie low fat so she will have popcorn. I will think of rats and mice while I eat the pork rinds and bacon I sneak into the theater. Penpen: Way to focus on the positive of eating dinner before going, the slip of popcorn will not affect you that much. Just keep moving forward you got this. Fly: Welcome fly get er done and good luck this month we are all in this toghether. Well off to the gym so I can get home and do the yard work, and the high today is 68 not 60 so maybe I will get some sweat in this afternoon in the yard.

Good morning all!!!
Kemp you continue to be an inspiration!!! Wow!! I go to work today, then miami tonight to cover a dermatology conference monday, flying back monday night. I'm concentrating on new psoriasis drugs, but will look at any new lasers, so ak your questions now!! Conferences like this are always difficult because it's a giant conference center and not much food. I always do fine, though. Feb 28:145 Mar 1: 144 Mar 2: 144 Mar 3: 143.5 |

Hi everyone! Hope you all are having a great weekend
March goal 160 (would love 158) 3/1- 168 3/2- 169 3/3- 168 I think I am stuck in a stall... Trying to be super stick on induction for now. If this continues I am going to try a fat fast, but I am really hoping my body breaks this stall itself. Went to Pilates today, going to step up the cardio hoping to kick start some losses. Staying positive, if I wasn't eating this way I would be gaining so happy to at least be where I am. I also bought some magnesium and fiber to help with regularity so here's hoping that works.

Bethany: My 40 day challenge was just that 40 days to lose the most weight and fat percentage. Wish they would have done measurments but they did not. The prizes are for mens and womans division. 1st place 6 months free dues(about 1800 bucks) 2cnd place is 800 dollar apple gift card, 3rd is 500 on your account to use as you want at the cafe or at the hotel, what ever you want, ect. I just got the email about the weight in tomorrow so I am feeling good about at least placing. I really want to win, and other than drinking at my friends funeral, I have not budge from the 2-5 carb a day diet on the food.
DQ: Have a good trip, I love Miami. Mothergoose: A loss is a loss, way to go keep it up!!! I made it to the gym this morning for my big push to the finish. Hit the stairmaster hard, these are the numbers it gave me, 84 minutes, for 1126 calories burned, 335 floors climbed, 7.15 miles, with a avg heart rate of 140, that is 80 percent of my max so a good work out, now to spend the rest fo the day unloading dirt out of the truck and building up my flower beds, should be sore in the arms tomorrow. Going to gym first thing in the morning, they open at 5am, and I will be there, to get a good work out in followed by a good steam and then the big weigh in, will not know winner until Tuesday night. Feb 28 162.4 March 1 161.4 lost 2lbs this week so far seem to have broken the stall! March 2 161.4 March 3 161.8 think it was the fried chicken breast from the deli (hidden sugars?) to me lol! Then I was taken out to our favourite pizza place but I knew they did nice main course salads which I had - Niscoise salad which was not as filling as I would have liked but I'm just pleased I've had a 100% day.Cheese omelette Salad Niscoise Ham and cream cheese roll ups Several coffees with HWC Sorry I haven't had time to catch up with everyone's posts, but well done all xxx |

I did better eating today and i did my exercise (3 miles at 6% incline on treadmill). I feel much better tonight. I didn't get much cooking done this weekend (only oopsie rolls) but I should have enough quick meals in the freezer from previous weeks to cover lunches. Think I will stick with chia pudding and/or oopsie rolls for breakfast as I am sick of eggs! I always prefer something sweet for breakfast with my coffee.
Kizz, I hope you are feeling better! I get migraines too and they are absolutely miserable!! I feel for ya! Kemp, good luck at the weigh in! Fingers crossed!! DairyQueen, have fun in Miami! I am jealous! I live in the DC area and it is still in the 30's! Anxious for Spring to get here! B: coffee with HWC and DaVinci, chia pudding (chia seeds, DaVinci and almond milk) L: oopsie roll with cream cheese and cinnamon/Splenda, chicken salad D: Red Robin's mushroom Swiss burger (no bun) with side salad/Ranch No snacks today! Lots and lots of water! |

Oh I can't believe it is Sunday night already!!
I don't want to go to work in the morning. ![]() Well here it is but I don't know if it will stay: 3/2 147.0 3/3 145.0 ![]() I go up and down the same 5 lbs but maybe one of these days it will stick. We went to a baseball game this afternoon. Wow just watching all the people around me and all the food they were eating!! Hundreds of calories in 2 hours time. We had gone to lunch before the game so I wasn't hungry. I had a nice bacon cheeseburger with broccoli and was stuffed so I wasn't tempted. I couldn't believe the prices for the food. It has been a while since I went to a game but WOW! These guys in front of us bought 4 beers and it was $40. Granted they were like 32 oz but still..... Today I had: B; egg salad L: bacon cheeseburger with broccoli D: chicken, kale and tomato soup Looks like everyone has been doing a great job staying on plan. Hope everyone has a great week. Cheshire girl: so cauliflower and broccoli mash is pretty much what it is? Just mashed everything together and add the other stuff? It was good? I am always looking for a new veg type thing to make. Happy Birthday!! ![]() Kemp:great job on your 40 day weight loss! You seem to be doing awesome on this plan.Kizz: sorry about the migraine. My bestfriend suffers from those and I feel so helpless when she gets them. Hope you are feeling better. |

Thanks PenPen.
Well it is 813 pm here and I am beat down. Between the workout this morning and the all day in the yard has caught up to me. Not going to weigh until after my morning work out at the challenge weigh in, so may be a while before I check in. The results are not going to be done until tuesday night. I sure want to know right away, but oh well that is the way it goes. I will be curious to see how much fat percentage has gone down. If atkins is right then I have lost about 8 pounds of water and 27 pounds of fat, that would be 10 percent fat loss and I think that my win it. We will see. Sorry to keep going on about this weigh in, I have really busted my hump for this one. Kinda of wish I would have started on the day of the challenge and not waited until the monday. Only gave me 35 days to lose instead of the full 40. |
