Had a very bad night! Got a terrible stomach flu and couldn't keep anything down. Miserable 24 hours! Hoping my stomach is settled today but afraid to eat or drink anything. This has been an effective way to lose weight, but not worth it! :-)

Good Morning everyone!

Congrats CeeCee!!! Such wonderful news! I have a 9 month old and wish I stayed low carb through my pregnancy, but whatever you choose I wish you a healthy, fun ride!

Add me to the list of the sickies! Serious sinus that I have been fighting all week and yesterday was the worst. Hoping to quickly feel better- its been a really busy long week.

Good news is I saw 165 again on the scale today- I have no idea how or why but I'll take it. Maybe its all the subway stairs I have been walking!

Welp, after alot of thought....I think I'm gonna hafta chill on my alcohol consumption if I want to lose weight. OR just keep drinking and accept the fact that I will be an extremely slow loser. Drinks on the weekends are a big part of our lives. Makes me sound like an alcoholic, but that's not the case. Most weekends, hubby and I will kill ourselves working out in the yard or on big projects in the house. When evening comes around, we usually light a fire and kick back with cocktails. So, I have to decide what's more important to me....

Anway! Totally on plan yesterday...had a protein shake, a salad with grilled chicken, baked chicken, green beans and some cabbage. Scale was back up & then some...At this rate, I'll be lucky to break even this month!

Today:
B - protein shake
L - hot chicken salad w/celery
D - baked chicken, veggie of some kind
coffee and lemon water to drink

HarmsWay, what are you drinking? Perhaps there is an alternative that won't cause a gain/stall......

I've found I'm ok with Michelob Ultra, red wine & tequila mixed with crystal lite.

Who knows. Ok that is all for me, off to sit around and think about working out!!! LOL
Can’t you do those upper body cardio workouts? You see those folks on Biggest Loser doing it all the time! Just a thought. Hope you have a fantastic weekend! Congrats on the 220s!

Reta – I am a big bacon eater, hot or cold. Other than that I do not have a lot of carry along snack ideas. I usually just wait until I get home. OR if I get really desparate and want to avoid the sweet because they are calling my name…I will have almonds, peanuts, or cashews – whichever I can find the quickest. I know they are not particularly on plan, but I would take them over sweets anyday and still call it on plan!

Sorry for the novel today. Ok, very excited about the new job. Accepted the Job offer Wednesday night. Hopefully moving to the new department after Apr 1. YAY! It appears a though it may involve some travel, so looking forward to getting out of OHIO a little bit in the next few months.

I'm probably adding 300-600 calories to what I "thought" was a lower-ish calorie count diet. Well hells bells.....

Thanks so much for asking Lori- my new job is good- very different than anything I have ever done, but I think I needed that because I was so burned out from my old job.

Little one is doing great in daycare, and once I get the commute down life will be normal, and I love normal.

Congrats on your new job!

I need to cook this weekend- I hate buying lunch in the city- 10-15$ a day adds up and I am not in control of what I am eating. So cooking and getting rid of this sinus infection is what I have planned this weekend.

Lori, DH was very excited about my weight loss! He keeps complimenting me, which is further motivation! :-)

Still having tummy issues. Hoping this is only a 24 hour bug. Didn't eat much today.

Tummy is still not 100%! I hate being sick. On top of that, woke up with a migraine.......aaaarrrggghhhhh! Hopefully I get back to normal soon!

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

i'm at work and someone went to bobby flay's burger palace and brought this back for me!! It was so delicious (well, is, cause i could only eat a few bites) that I thought I'd take a photo. It's a blue cheese burger. I took off the piece of tomato.

Wow DQ! That looks yummy! I will have to find Bobby Flay's restaurant!

After being sick to my stomach the last few days my stomach pain is finally going away. However, I now have a terrible craving for sweets! It is pretty rare that I crave sweets anymore so this is really weird. I ate a small handful of SF gummy bears hoping it will go away. I know better than to overheat SF gummy bears! Been there, done that, not a nice situation! :-) Hoping the sweet cravings don't come back!

Today's food:
B1: coffee with HWC, CO and DaVinci syrup
B2: LC hot cereal
L: cabbage/bacon soup in chicken broth
S: handful of SF gummy bears
D: going to Logan's Roadhouse and will have steak and shrimp with Caesar salad
Lots and lots of water!
