Me too!! I have been watching but have been very quiet for February because I was pouting. I have been doing my best with Atkins and haven't lost a single lb!!
But I do feel better so forward I will go! ![]() I am going to try something new this month also. Has anyone ever heard of the Moringa Tree? I love it when everyone posts their menu so I can compare and make sure I am not eating something I shouldn't be. Also when I list my menu PLEASE feel free to point something out that I might be doing incorrectly. I have decided to go more with the leaner meats vs the high fat meats in general. today: B; protein shake - coffee/CO/Trivia/SF creamer (just a little) L: salad with cucumbers, radish and flank steak - no dressing - 2 slices of the almond butter bread. D: no sure snack: small apple Happy Friday!!! ![]() |

I would love to join this month (and actually STICK to it!
I am Chelsey, newly 30, married with an adorable 3 year old monster I also just recently graduated nursing school, passed my boards, and accepted my first RN position...talk about a whirlwind 2 months! I have been off and on this LC train for nearly 2 years, and lately more off than on, but today is day 2 (for the 800th time!) and I am ready to rock. Something tells me that starting my new job this month will be a LOT easier if I lost some weight and got more fit, 12 hours on your feet is not for sissies I havent weighed in yet, but my goal for the month will be 12 lbs. I will weigh in tomorrow and hope I dont pass out when I see the number ![]() Have a great day everyone!

Starting off the month with no loss from yesterday, in fact I was up .2, but I'm down almost 12 pounds in my first week, so no complaints from me! LOL
I think I had too much bacon yesterday, my rings were tight this morning. I had bacon for breakfast and a bacon cheeseburger, no bun of course, for dinner. So I'm trying to cut out the bacon today. I had 3 eggs with a little cheese on them for breakfast and I brought some tuna for lunch. Starting weight ~ March 1 ~ 288.6 You know, even though I'm only down 12 pounds, I FEEL thinner. At my size, 12 pounds isn't even a drop in the bucket, but I just feel like I'm thinner and like my jeans are looser. I'm sure it's all in my head, but I'll take it any way. LOL

Quick intro for me:
I'm Jes. 40-something-COUGH. Married for 14 years, mom to two little boys. Part-time attorney. Weigh the most I have ever weighed in my life. I have only ever been able to lose weight eating LC and I have maintained a healthy weight for most of my life. But I had a rough couple of years and the addiction crept back in. Goal for March is 15 lbs. Atkins Induction. Looking forward to checking in here with everyone else. Today's menu: B: 3 poached eggs; coffee with cream L: 2 cups Greek salad; Atkins shake D: Rib steak, broccoli I log my food at another site where I also post weekly menus. Question: Who here is tracking their food for Induction?

Jes- I always track my food with a tracker...I feel like it helps me stay more accountable. While I dont obsess over calories, I do try to keep them within my own acceptable range (1400-1600) and I look more into the amount of carbs and sodium I intake a day.

CHIP AND DIP ASSAULT!!!! TODAY
LINDSAY, Ontario (AP) - A Canadian couple faces domestic assault charges after attacking each other with chips and dip after apparently fighting over the last beer. Police in Lindsay, Ontario, say they were called early Friday to a home where there had been 15 previously documented domestic disputes. When officers arrived, they found both people covered in chips and dip. A 39-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman face charges of domestic-related assault and will appear in court March 28. Their names were not released. |

Okay I am going to join. I am starting on Monday. My goals will be 1) to actually start on Monday(I have been "starting" since January) and 2) to lose 20 pounds this month. I figure I can do that since I have always lost a lot in the beginning. I have lost well twice before with low carb and ended up getting pregnant both times after losing about 25 lbs. I recently got divorced so I won't have to worry about that this time
Hoping for a successful month. I will post my actual goal weight for the month when I weigh on Monday. |

Jes - I also track (loosely). Tracking closer/more accurately is actually one of my goals this month. I'm more interested in my fat/protein/carb macros with an idea of total calories.

Thanks Cheshire Girl for the input. Yes I know the apple is not on strict induction. I have been actually doing strict since January and have not had any fruit or vegs other then lettuce. I only recently within the last two weeks decided to have an apple or a few strawberries from time to time. I just have not had any luck with eating the high fat foods. My body just doesn't seem to want to let go. So that is the reason I decided to allow some fruit here and there and only a small apple or berries. As for the vegs I have had brussel sprouts once and green beans a few times. A girl can only eat so much lettuce, cucumbers and radishes.
I was eating eggs most mornings and have just found myself very tired of them. Just trying to go meat, vegs and a little fruit here and there. I try to stay away from the cheese and nuts but I do like them!! I guess like the caveman diet, just down to earth eating. I am still using butter and CO as my fats but I am trying to be careful with my intake. |

I am a super tracker also. I track everything even the mustard I dip my food in. It does help keep track of everything. It also helps keep my calories in line. Helps me make food decisions as the day goes along. I may have a pork chop for dinner instead of a steak if I am needing less caloires etc.

Good Morning!
Got up early this morning, thanks dogs, so I've almost topped out my coffee consumption for the day... I plan to bake turkey today, pre-cook some bacon, prep some veggies and strain some bone broth I've had going for some soup. I've still got italian beef and smoked salmon dip still in the fridge, so I'm pretty much set for the week already. Turkey & yogurt for breakfast, salmon dip w/veggies or eggs OR soup for lunch, blt or italian beef salads or wraps for dinners. Protein shakes in the fridge for gym nights. I'm also gonna boil half a dozen eggs and some chicken for quick egg salads. Plenty of options. I don't want to get caught hungry with nothing to eat. Haven't been to the gym since last weekend....they were closed due to the weather, so I'm gonna go both today & tomorrow, then tues & thurs. Lotsa water to drink edit: forgot to post my weight... 2/1 - 208.8 2/2 - 210 See ya!!!
