Kizz: I feel your pain about the calorie count. I count mine and would not have it any other way. It keeps me knowing what is working and what is not. I try to eat 1600 a day or more but barely get down 1300 most days. I am just not hungry. Well until tonight, I splurged.

I had a glass of white wine tonight but still kept the calories at 1550 for the day. I am beat down tired from working out everyday this week. Tomorrow is a down day for sure. I do not care what i weigh in the morning I am not working out. Maybe just take the dogs for a walk. Have a good night

Thanks Kemp! It feels good to be consistently losing again. I have definitely had to cut my calories this time. When I was successful with this WOE about 12 years ago, I was able to eat a lot more! I was in my late 20's then. Now that I'm 40, I've had to add exercise and cut calories. It is worth it though! I feel so much better and friends/co-workers are starting to comment. Even my kids are excited about it (probably because I have more energy now to do stuff with them). :-)

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! I know I will!! My hubby, who is spending a year in Afghanistan, is coming home today for a few weeks. He hasn't seen me since I started losing so I can't wait to surprise him! I just pray I stay strong. We will be eating out a lot as he has been deprived of good food for a long time. :-)

March goal: 185

3/2: 194
3/3: 194

Good Morning!

Scale was up over a lb this morning, BUT I'm not freaking out. My dogs got me up super early to go outside, so I was on the scale 2.5 hrs earlier than normal (and I'd already had some water). So, no big deal. Going grocery-gettin this morning, hitting the gym & we have a graduation party to go to this evening. At a pizza parlor. & Im not kidding when I say that they serve nothing but pizza. No salad, no wings, nuthin. I would like to say that I'll eat before I go, or that I'll just eat the toppings, but that would be a lie. I'm gonna eat pizza and probably have a few cocktails and then move on. I'll have a fasting workout today with a shake after and then another fasting workout tomorrow morning with a super low carb/low cal day tomorrow. Hopefully that will make up for it.

B - nada
L - protein shake
D - pizza w/rum & diet

Kiwi: Welcome to the group and "Get 'er Done"!!! We will be here for you and it is never to late to join. New challenge coming up in two weeks.

Cheshire: You are now the queen of 160!!! I hate stalls but they too will break, they have no choice as long as we stay on plan. I am rooting for that stall to break today!!!! And way to stick with it, that is very motivating to me that is for sure. So when I stall I do not freak out, I just stick with it.

Julie: So happy for you. I hope you have a great time with the DH. That is going to be awesome.

Nicki: It is amazing how the body works. I can wake up at 4 am to take a bathroom break, weigh, and by 630 am my normal weigh in time I can lose 2 pounds of water. Go figure. Sounds like you have a great plan to make the pizza place work. That should do the trick.

PassionateFire: Tom is being kind in the scale department this time!

March Goal 228

March 1 242
March 2 242
March 3 240
March 4 238
March 5 238
March 6 237
March 7 237
March 8 238 (WTH)(off plan at 2pm)
March 9 (off plan at 2pm)
March 10 DNW
March 11 249 (12 pounds gained in 3 days)
March 12 245 (now that is a whoosh>>>5 pounds of water, yea!!!)
March 13 242 (all water but fun none the less)
March 14 238.4 (well there you go, took 3 days to lose the weekend carb fest)
March 15 237.2
March 16 236.0

That is 36 pounds in 47 days.

Down another pound this morning. Hope the trend continues. I even had a glass of wine at dinner. Will be hitting the gym today and doing yard stuff so the trend will have all it needs to keep going. All have a great day.

Thanks everyone! It is so nice to have my hubby home! My boys are ecstatic! They are all playing video games now so I get some quiet time. I survived eating at Mexican restaurants twice today! In both cases I passed on the chips and salsa. At Moe's Southwest Grill they had queso dip with the chips so I suffered even more (I LOVE that stuff!!). It was a great day though.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

B1: coffee with HWC and CO
B2: 2 eggs with chorizo and cheese (went out to Anita's, local Mexican restaurant)
L: salad with steak, cheese, salsa and sour cream (from Moe's Southwest Grill)
S: chia pudding
D: Atkins shake

goal for March 189.

Today 198.2! Yay, not as much damage as I thought.
I had got to 197.8 but got talked into crumbed fried fish by hubby and son...

Breakfast today:
2 egg cheese omelette
coffee HWC and stevia/erithyol sweetner(bettasweet)
lump of leftover beef roast.

lunch will probably be a flavoured tuna with cheese.
Dinner,no idea.

I have noticed one worrying thing here on all the back posts.People saying they don't do weights as it stalls them.
Muscle weighs four times what fat weighs but it is smaller and needs calories to keep it running unlike fat which can just sit there.
If you have more muscle the scales may stall but the tape measure will keep going plus you will then lose faster.
You also won't get some age things like osteoporosis and will have stronger bones.
Lift those weights people.
Also women can't get muscly without freakish amounts of work as we are built differently.I have that from more than one female body builder.

No work out today, been so busy totally forgot I had a funeral today. It was a dad of one of my good friends. From what I saw today he was a great guy. But the wake was a carb frenzy!!!!!!!!!! And beer and wine was flowing like swallows of capastrano.(dumb and dumber move quote) I some how got out of there unscathed and stayed on plan. I of course did not know the actual carbs in some things but most I did. Ate cheese, smoked turkey, shrimp, and some sausage, I dug the wrapper out of the trash to make sure not high in carbs, but it was a deer sausage so no info. only ate a few bits so should be OK.

Princessmommy:
Finally a down move!!! Way to go.

Julie:Way to stay focused, that was not easy. Glad you are having great family time!!

Lorias:
We still have 13 days left this month, but hey I am going to call it for you GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go, that motivates me to stay focused.

Reta: Not a gain, still a down of .4 pounds I would take that every day for sure.

Mthrgoose: It is just a small up, no worries you got this.

Kiwi: The old crumb fish in the fryer trick, sounds good though. No problem you got this right back on plan.

kemp: In NZ fried fish and chips is the national takeout junk meal.Half the price of MickeyDees and twice the amount of food at that.I changed to the crumbed but everything battered is more traditional.

Normally we cook as we are on one income and don't have the eat out culture here that the US does but my hubby was cooking ,forgot what he had planned to make and let the 12 year old convince him.I was then up to two against one.

Sounds like the odds were stacked. I rarely eat out when on plan, just do not trust anybody with a shaker of sugar in the back trying to make crap taste better. I trust some of the steak places but avoid the fast food joints like the plague. Oh I love me some fish and chips of any kind. I bet y'all have great fish and chips there.

one thing I have noticed is how many people don't seem to eat regularly.I have Atkins NDR from about 2002 and I know the new one is different.Dr Atkins always said you had to eat every 6 hours at least you were awake without fail or your system would go into starvation mode.Has that changed on the new plan or is it just personal choice?

I know you guys have awesome fish and chips, I am jealous. The only place here that has good fish and chips is the British pubs around town. Just so happens I like pubs!!! Go figure???
