Congrats Kemp! I'm glad you are back on track where you were before the big weekend. It sounded like it was well worth it! DairyQueen, your corned beef and cabbage sounds so good! Reta and Kizz: If you are going to dream, dream big. Last time I was 137 I was 10 years old!!!!
I made the golf and then went to the gym and did 60 on the stair stepper for a 750 calorie burn at the gym. I hope to see 237 (or 137) in the morning. I am one tired puppy that is for sure. I just logged my food for the day and only had 1167 calories with 1 carb, way to low. Will have a couple of scoops of caseing powder for desert and call it at 1400 calories for the day. All have a good night.

Stayed really LC today! Did have an Aldis LC bar for breakfast cause I was so pressed for time. Steak for lunch then 1 fat bomb for a snack, then my Awesome DJ grilled supper!steak again! Lol! May be to much protein?

Princessmommy: Ugh!!!! Well my advice a meat and egg fast with some exercise. I hate when people tell me to do that, but it works. It is impressive the way you just keep at it and never stop.
Passionatefire: I see your weight I want that so bad. Onderland will be a great time in my journey. And you wake up to that everyday. So Jealous. But I only have 37 little pounds to go, yea right. March 13 242 (all water but fun none the less) March 14 238.4 (well there you go, took 3 days to lose the weekend carb fest) March 14 237.2 That is 37 pounds in 46 days. Hit my new low today of 237.2., I, however, am still not back into ketosis???? Even when I start it usually takes three days to start showing slight pink, but this time nothing. Oh well the weight is still coming off. I love the strips because today I was going to take off from the gym, but my crazy mind wants to see some pinkie/purple so off to the gym at lunch for a power workout with a trainer, for a cross fit workout. I am so tired of the stair stepper. That is my story and I am sticking to it. Check in after lunch. |

Great job, Kemp. Have you been in Houston all your life? That's where I lived my 1st 18 years.
I'm taking your advice and doing very LC today. Nothing but meat,eggs, a little cheese and butter today cause I'm back to 178.4 today. Carbs will be really low today. No workout though, but I'm going on an 8 mile hike with hubby tomorrow. I just love how I can see sweets now and say, 'no, thanks, I just don't want none." This is what LC will do for you. I drink water all the way until 9-10 pm but I don't go to the restroom after I drink it that late so I assume my body is holding it. Any thoughts? Has anyone read about this? Now I did google it and some sites say you shouldn't drink after 6 and some say 7. the body produces an antidiuretic hormone if you drink afterwards so you don't dehydrate.

my scale is just not moving much this month! I'm thinking that it's time to adjust the wine ingestion downward! boo hoo! I bought some coconut vodka the other day (skinnygirl) - it doesnt taste good on its own, so i've been looking to see if there's such a thing as diet pineapple soda. Well, I can't find that either, but i DID find some pineapple coconut flavoring drops for water and thought that i might put that in some sparkling water and add a little vodka. hmmm? otherwise, i guess i could look for some diet chocolate soda. So enough rambling and back to work for me! Feb. 28: 145 Mar1: 144 Mar 2: 144 Mar 3: 143.5 Mar 6: 143.25 Mar 7: 143 Mar 8: 143 Mar 11:144 Mar 13: 143.75 Mar 15: 143.70 (i leave the scale as it is and hope that i have to adjust it downward just a tiny bit each day. i HATE adjusting it up. It's an old-fashioned doctor's scale)

DQ First started Atkins April 1, 2002. Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. Have now lost 50 + pounds since March 2012 --these last months it's been slooow but steady. Hey! You don't have to drink all that water! |

Reta, I primarily stick to meat, eggs, and cheese. For instance, yesterday menu was ~
B- 3 Eggs, fried in 1 teaspoon coconut oil and some shredded hard cheddar on top L- 4 eggs diced up in a bowl with some mayo and mustard to make an egg salad S- 3 small pieces of copacolla with 1 oz. sharp cheddar cheese D- Some hamburger, mixed with a little mayo, and some shredded cheese mixed in Lots of water and diet pepsi I keep it simple, too complicated and I won't stick with it! ![]() |

Reta, It's an italian ham and I LOVE it. I get it at WalMart and it's sliced very thin. The package says 0 Carbs and I think 60 calories per serving. It's just a great afternoon snack when I'm not really hungry, but I WANT something to eat. I'm still working on that! LOL

This month is going so much better than last month! I hope the downward trend continues for all of us!
Reta, my menus don't vary too much these days. I've been doing coffee in the morning, LC hot cereal a few hours later, a LC lunch, afternoon snack of chia pudding and an Atkins shake for dinner. I am basically doing one large meal for lunch and 4 "snacks". I just started doing this in March and it has really made a difference. I have already lost more weight this month than I did the whole month of February! I do feel hungry before bed but I don't feel hungry the rest of the day. I am also drinking a TON of water! B1: coffee with HWC and CO B2: LC hot cereal with cinnamon (from Netrition, it is yummy) L: cheeseburger and hot dog (no bun), small salad S: chia pudding (chia mixed with almond milk and vanilla DaVinci) D: Atkins shake I hope everyone has a fabulous day!!
