Man, 178.4. What is going on? Okay, changes I will make today.

workout - I did today, felt better than last time. only 30 min
easy on the hwc - I enjoyed it in coffee and cooked with it last night
up veggies - no changes needed here
stay under 20 carbs - Im sure I am. I am very careful in this department

This is frustrating.

Reta: I hate when people tell me this but here goes. Sometimes the body does what the body does. I hate it but it happens to me and I do the same thing get mad, change things or whatever and then a few days latter it is all good and the weight is gone, could be your fat cells holding water, not drinking enough water, tons of reasons. But just one day of up, the over all down trend is the key. I know this just made you more mad, but I get the same answers when I have a up day and it always helps a day later. It will be ok just a blimp in the scale. By the way do a zero carb day with a lot of fat that seems to work for me.

CEECEE: Wow you are getting it done way to go.

I am still not into ketosis yet. That is strange, must be super hydrated. No worries hitting the gym super hard tonight for a 1200 calorie burn minimum. That should show some pinkie/purple by tomorrow morning. Will catch back up around lunch.

Yep. SMH. I think I found out through this board. Whenever I order eggs now I request real eggs. No powder or added pancake batter for me. That's why their eggs are so fluffy.

Feeling better now. Off to fill my water jug up.

Kizz – hope your DS is feeling better. I don’t blame you about the shots, I’d cancel them too. Then again, I look for any excuse to cancel those hellish things! I picked up the Xantham Gum at Kroger in the Natural Foods section. I didn’t look for the erythritol, but I think I may have remembered seeing it there too. Good luck! I really want to try something like this, but all those ingredients are just too intimidating!
Reta – Good job getting back on plan
Harm – I am adding in weight lifting every other day. I think my weight loss is going to slow considerably because of this, but I am ready to start getting into shape before the summer gets here!
Cheshire – you have lost a pound a week this month. That is really good!
Bethany – I so wish I had stayed LC during my pregnancies, then I would not be fighting this battle 8 years later!
Mydear – Congrats on the elevator. That is fantastic.
MtherGoos – You are doing to great!
Kemp – Walking the golf course! I am so jealous, I woke up to snow on the ground! And not bad 3 lbs for a fun filled weekend!
DQ – What an adventure
Straphe – Now you sound like a BL contestant on the scale! That is a great number! Celebrate!
Passion – That’s not so bad! You stayed OP!
PrincessMommy – Has the DR cleared you yet for exercise? I think that is what helped me to break my Feb stall.

Ceecee – congrats on the nice whoosh!

Now for last night's dinner story:

Ok, I had to run quite a few errands yesterday and I called my 15 year old son and asked if he could make and put the sausage balls in the oven. He says sure and I proceed to give him all the ingredients and measurements, told him the sausage was in the refrigerator. A litter later as I am running around he calls and asks me how many this recipe is supposed to make. Well, when I made them last week I made about two dozen. I hear this worried/disappointed, "Oh." from the other end of the line. So I ask, "Why? How many did you make?" To my shock his reply is 6. I begin to consider this all, because I gave him more sausage than I had used last week. So, I just told him to cover the finished product with a cloth until I got home and I would decide what to do.

So, when I got home I looked at these "sausage balls" and I say, didn't you put the sausage in them? He says, "Sausage wasn't one of the ingredients that you gave me." I said, "I told you the sausage was in the refrigerator." He said, "I know but it wasn't on your list and I thought since you were on a diet, these were just balls that would taste like sausge, but not actually have the sausage in them." Needless to say, I now have a pretty good recipe for Almond Cheddar Biscuits!

Almond Cheddar Biscuits (makes 6)

1/2 cup almond flour
1/2 cup shredded cheddar
1 egg
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp mrs dash tomato basil garlic powder

bake at 350 for 20 minutes (probably less these were a little overdone )

Stumbled across this today and I am very anxious to see the outcome. I just wish they would lose the "calorie restriction" jargon and JUST stick with the LC aspect!

Ceecee-I didn't know that IHOP did that to their eggs. I wonder if anyone else does that? Sneaky sneaky and good to know. Not that I eat out much, and when I do its usually steak and double side of broccoli. Hope they can't hide any carbs in there!

Kemp-Three pounds is nothing! I knew that it couldn't really be a 13 pound gain. I just think you had literally ate 13 pounds of food.....lol

MyDear-No problem! I didn't even think anything of it, but thank you! He's doing much better today, but unfortunately for me he now has his days and nights turned around.....ugh!!!!

Lori-Thanks for the info on the xantham gum and erythritol at Kroger. I was going to go today, but as you can see, it's snowing. Sigh. I'm out off eggs too. I really have no choice but to go. I'll let everyone know how that cake turns out, I am also considering making a pound cake that I found under cakes in the recipe forums, the only weird ingred. is carbquick, wonder if I can find that at Kroger as well?

BTW....your story about your son making those sausage balls had me cracking up! Teenagers! I have an 18 yr old daughter and a 15 year old and this sounds like something they would do/say.....very cute, hard to get mad, and glad they were edible anyway!

Good morning everyone!!
I'm back at work today -- looks like everyone is doing fine?
i too was shocked about IHOP-- i read about it last year. It does make you think if other fast food places (I really hate to call it a restaurant) use pancake mix.
Then there is also the unanswered question about what restaurants us to marinate meat/chicken and if sugar is added/injected.

Feb. 28: 145
Mar1: 144
Mar 2: 144
Mar 3: 143.5
Mar 6: 143.25
Mar 7: 143
Mar 8: 143
Mar 11:144
Mar 13: 143.75

Yea DQ I wouldn't be surprised either. I usually look up things I eat at restaurants to make sure of the carb count. You would be surprised.

Lori that story is hilarious. Lol

Just jumping into say that it's SUPER COMMON for places to use some type of flour mix to make omelet batter -- even many mom-and-pop diners do this. It makes the batter fluffier. It makes the outcome more reliably consistent. The batter can be made in advance in large quantities and stored in the fridge for ease of use. And it's cheaper because it produces more food for less money.

I learned about this because a lot of my family and friends are bodybuilders. Even when they're on "bulking" cycles -- which are NOT low fat -- they typically order egg white omelets because restaurants (and diners) don't add the processed extras to egg white omelets.

You can have cheese on induction. No more than 4ozs I believe. I made cheesecake filling last night. Takes my sweet tooth away completely.

March Goal ~ 275

3/1 - 288.6
3/2 - 286.6
3/3 - 286.2
3/4 - 284.8
3/5 - 284.8
3/6 - 284.6
3/7 - 284.8
3/8 - 284.6
3/9 - ???
3/10 -283.8
3/11 -282.8
3/12 -281.2
3/13 -281.0

Barely a loss today, but still a loss, so I'll take it! Starting to think maybe my March goal was a little too optimistic, but we'll see what happens.

DQ- I was sitting at my computer laughing hysterically! Glad it all turned out OK! I had something similiar happen last summer, when we had a monsoon come through. Thankfully my 3 teenage boys were in the car and got out and pushed me out of the "lake" I was sitting in!

Straphe- You should be celebrating!! Getting into Onederland is AWESOME!!! You're rocking it!!

PrincessMommy - I'm sorry the scale is being so obstinate for you! I know it sucks, and I know you get tired of hearing it, but the scale WILL move the right direction and stay there. Keep dong the right thing and your body and your scale will do what they are supposed to. But I know that doesn't make it any easier right now.

Kemp - You're moving right along! You'll meet that March goal yet!

CeeCee - You're doing awesome!! KUTGW!!

Reta - Those darn restaurant meals are scary! We eat out a LOT! It's gotten to where I'm scared to eat anything when we go out except eggs over hard, or a steak with no seasoning on it. I don't trust anything else! But you know that little blip in the scale will come right back down, so don't let it throw you.

Lori - OMG, love that story!!! I have 3 teenage boys, and I can totally see them doing that.
I have also heard that a low carb diet is good for cancer. Oddly enough, one of our pit bulls got cancer about 2 years ago. One of the things that they suggested was to put him on a low carb diet. Sadly, we still lost him, but I found that advice interesting. Then this last October I was diagnosed with cervical cancer, so once I got to thinking about it, I decided that this could only help. Losing the weight AND fighting the cancer both at the same time! It's a twofer deal!

Kizz - So glad your baby is feeling better! I would reschedule the shots too! Poor little one!

Reta, I don't think almond flour is ok on induction, but the carb count is pretty low.
