To avoid those biscuits and cake, you're doing AWESOME! ![]() Bethany, KUTGW!!Cheshire Girl, what in the world are they making at a cake show to promote healthy eating???? LOL How great it is though that your 15 year old is helping to promote healthy eating! You must be proud! Tomorrow is my day off, thank goodness!

Wow! Lots of good news stories today! KUTGW everyone and thank you for all the encouragement and praise!
I was the same weight today, which I was happy with given my big steak dinner last night. Another beautiful day here today so we went to the outlet mall and shopped for spring/summer clothes. It was so much fun to shop in regular stores (started this WOE at size 2x/18 and today I was buying XL/14. I was able to find so many more options in the smaller sizes. I even found some great sales, which made it even better! :-) Hope everyone has a great day! March goal: 185 Weight 3/1: 196 3/2: 194 3/3: 194 3/4: 194 hoping this isn't the beginning of another stall........ 3/5: 194 :-( 3/6: 194.........again!! 3/7: 194 :-( 3/8: 193 :-) 3/9: 192 :-) 3/10: 192

I was craving biscuits and gravy this morning so I tried making a low carb version. I made a sausage gravy using a recipe from this forum and I used an oopsie roll for the biscuit. It wasn't great! The oopsie instantly became soggy and the gravy was too thin and lacked the creamy rich taste of normal gravy. I later put a little bit of the gravy on scrambled eggs and that was much better. Will use the remaining gravy only with eggs. Won't be making that dish again though! I was also really disappointed in the Jimmy Deam sausage I bought. There were 6 carbs in a 1 lb package due to small amounts of sugar and corn syrup! It was regular sausage so I assumed it was fine. I should have checked the label before I bought it!!
Hope everyone enjoyed their day! B: coffee with HWC and DaVinci, LC biscuits and sausage gravy L: Caesar salad, 2 scrambled eggs with sausage gravy D: Atkins shake S: 2 deviled eggs Lots and lots of water! |

Sorry your meal wasn't what you hoped for Julie! I've been looking for sausage every time I get groceries and haven't been able to find any with out sugar. Has anybody found any? It would be a nice change from bacon for breakfast.

Back from the weekend. Will catch up on the thread and post weight in the am. I ate like crazy so the results will be rough, but will motivate me to get back at it. I tried a regular coke but it was way to sweet, so I had that going for me!!! LOL I feel so tired and down, cannot wait to get back into ketosis. Have a good one.

177.4. Today, I'm up .4. And thanks to all I've learned here, I know exactly why.
I had two doses of Benadryl, a few nuts, not enough of the right kind of fat and beef tips in some kind of teriayki sauce yesterday. I should be headed back downward on tomorrow. Not bummed at all. I should have ordered a regular steak with minimum seasons or a fat hamburger. I'm learning, aren' I? I can't wait to read Kemp's next post. |

Many recipes exist, it's usually coconut oil, almond butter and regular butter melted together with some sweetener. If you search the forums, you'll find many variations. It's very high in fat, so even a little bit of it will keep you full for hours, and coconut oil is very beneficial for you.
I haven't weighed since Saturday - I intend to keep good on my promise not to weigh until Wednesday. Hopefully I'll be in onederland by then. |

Well the weeknd was as planned, crazy in more ways than one. I ate it all, fried foods with flour and cornmeal, desserts, cakes, cookies, fudge, icecream, candy I got it all out of my system. Even the massive amount of keg beer was tasty. The amazing thing is I am back on plan today. Honestly it is always so hard after a cheat weekend to for me to get back on. It is only day one today of the restart but at least I am here being accountable and trying to stay focused. Thanks guys for being here!!!!
And the damage is done, but at least I will, or hope I will have a quick down trend. My goal may be a bit lofty but it will give me something to shoot for. The number is 12!!!! 12 pounds gained over the weekend. It is mostly bloat from all the salt and not drinking enough water, plenty of beer, just not enough water. The tony chacheres that I use is so salty but taste so good. Here are my numbers; March Goal 228 March 1 242 March 2 242 March 3 240 March 4 238 March 5 238 March 6 237 March 7 237 March 8 238 (WTH)(off plan at 2pm) March 9 (off plan at 2pm) March 10 DNW March 11 249 (12 pounds gained in 3 days) Will catch up with personals this morning and post, looks like Princessmommy and others have dropped some pounds at a quick glance. I am looking forward to reading the post and catching up. Thanks again for being here.

Kizz – You can follow me around, but you will have to sidestep the 4 kids that are also constantly with me. Having said that, you better bring extra ring pops!
Julie – sounds like you had a great time. I wouldn’t let the scale bother me for a couple of days. I get really aggravated at the prepackaged things that have hidden carbs in them too. So frustrating. Bethany – Congrats!! ![]() Labmini – I wish I could do an every other day weigh in. I am a person of habit. If I don’t weight in, I feel like my whole day is “off” Chesire girl – How did the exhibition go? Reta – Good job! It is realizations like this that have kept me on this WOE. I really don’t need or want those things. I can eat GREAT food. Amazing! Passion – KUTGW! Shelly – I had fat bombs on Saturday. I am going to not make more when these are gone though. I think I will save them for maintenance. I seem to have control issues with them. DQ – 4AM! OMG, I would be so tired and wanting to sleep ˝ of the next day! I love hearing tips from other successful LCers. I find myself doing exactly the same thing. MtherGoos – I put them right back in the smoke detector . They were only out of it for about 5 minutes. Kemp - I had a planned cheat weekend back in November. We went to Cincinnati for my birthday and I gorged on chips, chili cheese fries, nachos......ended up gaining 9 lbs that weekend but it was back off within a week. I imagine you'll drop at the same rate if not quicker. I don't think a weekend is enough time to gain actual weight and most of what you're carrying around is excess water.

Good morning all! Stopping by for a quick report. weighed in at 165.5 this morning so going down even half a pound at a time seems to be my MO lately. I also think high fat is helping keep things moving in the right direction.
I dropped my daughter at her first day of in home day care today so she, no really me, can adjust before I start my new job on Monday. I intend to keep myself very busy this week- I know she is having a great time and in a great place, its just weird without her here. Looks like everyone is doing great or hanging tough! Keep at it everyone. Hoping to catch up again a little later. The every other day weigh in is working for me so far, but I wonder if it still will when the numbers show a gain instead? Morning everyone!
Wow it is so awesome to see how well everyone is doing this month. I think it just helps boost everyone's sprit when we are all doing well. I am not moving on the scale but I feel good. I started drinking my smart drink with the moringa yesterday. I will let you guys know how it goes. I am still planning to stay LC with the drink. Still fighting this stupid cold. Didn't do much this weekend except help my son get his stuff together for prom this Friday. All I can say is I am glad I have sons instead of daughters when it comes to all the drama with prom! GGeezzzz ![]() Glad to see everyone is moving in the downward direction. Kemp: Hope you enjoyed your weekend and that 12 lbs will be gone before you know it! I wish I could manage to get myself into that ketosis stage. My sticks just never seem to turn!! My menu today B: moringa drink - protein shake L; spinach salad with chicken, radish and cucumbers D; something with hamburger. Any suggestions? S: cheese stick Hope everyone has a great week! |

Good morning everyone!
i really should be doing better than I am, but that's OK - i'm the tortoise, plodding along, day after day. It's difficult these last 10 pounds, I tell ya! Although I am now fitting comfortably in all of my size 6 clothes and that is a GREAT feeling! I might have eaten a little more than usual yesterday- the insides of a big egg, cheese and bacon sandwich for brunch (at work) and a steak and asparagus last night, along with champers. Maybe more wine than usual, cause i was on the phone with a friend who has a friend in real financial trouble and we talked for a long time. Tomorrow is my first day off in weeks- so i'll finally be able to go outside! got out a little yesterday to play with the dog-- it was nice to bounce around. Kemp -- good luck on getting back in the saddle! EVERYONE ELSE __ great job on losing the pounds!! Feb. 28: 145 Mar1: 144 Mar 2: 144 Mar 3: 143.5 Mar 6: 143.25 Mar 7: 143 Mar 8: 143 Mar 11:144 grah

So my slow week turned out to be not so bad after all...I weighed 187 this morning!
Kizz - You're probably right...we should never get to comfortable thinking we're far enough away from the 200s...because we know how easy it is to creep back up there if we don't gauge ourselves! PrincessMommy - hang in there! Kemp - I bet you'll be right back on track in a day or two. After your amazing and successful challenge I'm sure you ready for a couple of days of not worrying about it so much! EVERYONE - You all continue to motivate me! I love checking in daily (or...multiple times a day...lol!) ![]()

I hit the gym so today is a success for sure. Going to cook up on the grill tonight for the rest of the week so I have some success getting back in the saddle. I am still shooting for the 228 goal but that is 20 pounds in 20 days, will be tough!!!! Glad to see everyone doing so well and keeping on the right track.

Lori and mthergoos the Cake International show was great, my son was introduced as a healthy eating young man and then proceeded to help a celebrity chef bake cakes
It was a lovely day and we were VIPs for the day. I managed to not taste or eat anything but had a few coffees! Lots of posts to catch up on but everyone seems to be doing really well xxx |

hi everybody,
i'm just getting back from my daughters house.... we had wonderful weather here in NY over the weekend and my daughter, grandson and i were out mall shopping both days. it felt good being out around people and wearing lighter clothes. my weight this morning was 237.8 and i'm very happy about that... but when i got home the elevator still hadn't been turned on after they told us that today would be the day that they finally would be turning ours on... ![]() i really cant wait to get out this house everyday i know that would help me get down in the lower 230's quicker.. princess, hope your enjoying your day

Well the hunger finally hit me today around 2pm. It was like a ton of bricks and I was unprepared that is for sure. I luckly found a La Michohana meat market and was able to hop in and get some fresh pork rinds before I went to mcds. That was not easy but it is not all good. Just got home about to fire up the pit for the weeks bbq, pork tenderloin, chicken legs and thighs, lamb chops and pork chops!!!! Oh and some grilled jalapenos and serrano peppers for cutting up and adding to the pork and lamb. Tasty.
Mydear: That elevator is crazy insane for not working. Hipe it is up by tomorrow. Glad you had a good trip. chelsire: NOw that is some will power do not know if I could have made that one. Way to get er' done!!! Bethany: That had to feel good this morning. Way to go! |
