Kizz and Bethany, Thank you!
That really is the encouragement I needed today. I just wanted to cry when I stepped on the scale this morning, but you're right, it will happen when my body is ready, not when my head is ready. Thank you for the reassurance and encouragement to keep going. Maybe tomorrow will be my day! ![]() |

I concur with MtherGoos, great words of encouragement Kizz!
And you are so right...your body is the one that decides when you lose weight, not us wanting it to happen. |

Lori and Pen thanks so much for the kind words.
Lori I am glad to hear you keep your percentages around the same. You have had such great success and our stats are not that far off. Very much appreciated Pen I find that if I weigh everyday I start not only letting the scale control my mood, but I lose sight of the big picture or eating for my health and it starts down a bad path- typically filled with artificial sweeteners!!!! Thanks to all and keep up the good work everyone!!!! |

I hope everyone had a great day! I am so ready for the weekend! I will be going to Red Lobster for dinner tomorrow night and I already dread the look and smell of those yummy cheddar garlic biscuits!! I know I will stay strong, but it is definitely a temptation! I ate well today and got in some exercise. I am trying to eat smaller meals and I added in 2 snacks a day to spread out my calorie/fat intake. I am also trying not to eat anything after 6pm. Will see if that helps me.
Have a great night!! B: coffee with HWC and DaVinci, 2 deviled eggs L: Tom kha gai (Thai chicken coconut milk soup with mushrooms), chicken satay D: Atkins shake S: 3 deviled eggs, chia pudding Lots and lots of water!

I was so busy that i coildn't check in today! Rushed out of the house this morning too, so i didn't weigh. Some of ordered from a great great butcher shop about a mile away from the office...i think i wrote about the huge ..i mean huge ..pastrami sandwiches. Today i ordered the turkey club..they smoke their own turkeys...took off the bread and had just half. Turkey, avocado, alfalfa sprouts, cheese and bacon. Yummilicious!! The other half is for tomorrow.
Kemp have a great foodie weekend! Tell us all about it! I'm with you on the more calories equals slower weight loss and even weight gain! See you all tomorrow!

Bethany-Thanks! I am happy to be in the 180's! But I don't think I could ever be far enough away from the dreaded 200's....lol Don't worry about only losing a pound this week, that just means that your running my timeline...ugh!
Kemp-Your venting post this morning had me cracking up, especially your revision under your siggie! Enjoy your weekend, friend! I know you will tell us all about it, and all the wonderful deserts you ate! Cheshire-You're game? Don't tease me, I know you don't want to really trade and let me weigh 160 and you weigh 189 again...lol But I wouldn't complain now, would I? BTW congrats on your loss!!! Yay! Penpen-Fitting into skinny clothes IS an amazing feeling! It's so much fun to go shopping now, I used to cry in the changing rooms and wind up buying nothing and leaving depressed. DQ-Kind of ironic me giving all these alcohol stats when I can't even handle two beers without being an idiot. But I can drink vicariously through you ![]() Julie-That pizza soup sounds so good! Gonna try it soon! Mothergoose-I'm glad I could help you feel better. I know one day, I will be the one needing a pep talk, because I am extremely impatient. I get really really down and annoyed when I am in a long stall. Those are usually the days I am too sad to say much if anything on the boards. Hang in there! We can do this! Today's menu: B:scrambled eggs with salsa L:salad D:grilled porterhouse steak S:sugar free ring pop (I know, real mature) Lots of Crystal lite and Mio drops with my water March goal: 187 3/1: 191.6 3/2: 190.6 3/3: 190.6 3/4: 191.6 3/5: 191.8 3/6: 190.2 3/7: 189.8 3/9: 189.2 Last edited by Kizz4k; 03-08-2013 at 06:10 PM.. |

For four days now I've been yoyoing between 201 and 203. It gets a tad bit frustrating. I told myself I'm not going to freak out about the scale and that I'm not gonna weigh myself every day, and here I am. Gonna take a step back and not weigh until Wednesday morning. |

Congrats to PassionateFire, Kizz and Cheshire girl for your losses!! PassionateFire, 30 lbs. is amazing! Way to go!
Reta, Kemp, Labmini, MtherGoos, PenPen13 and Straphe: KUTGW! You are all doing great! Roxysmum, stay strong at the party! Birthday cake is poison (at least that is what I tell myself!) LoriAS, stay strong at Olive Garden! :-) Down another pound today, surprisingly! Had a shake for dinner again last night and nothing after 6pm. It could be anything though! My losses have been very unpredictable and inconsistent! It is working though! 28 lbs. total now since 1 Jan so I am happy. Looking forward to hitting that 30 lb. mark! So far March has been much better than Feb. Only lost 6 lbs. in Feb and I've already lost 4 lbs. in Mar. Fingers crossed it continues! I plan to decorate the house for Easter today with the kids so that will keep me active most of the day! Looking forward to Red Lobster tonight! Gonna eat light the rest of the day so I can indulge tonight (on plan, of course). Hope everyone has a great day! March goal: 185 Weight 3/1: 196 3/2: 194 3/3: 194 3/4: 194 hoping this isn't the beginning of another stall........ 3/5: 194 :-( 3/6: 194.........again!! 3/7: 194 :-( 3/8: 193 :-) 3/9: 192 :-) |

March Goal ~ 275
3/1 - 288.6 3/2 - 286.6 3/3 - 286.2 3/4 - 284.8 3/5 - 284.8 3/6 - 284.6 3/7 - 284.8 3/8 - 284.6 3/9 - ??? Couldn't really weigh today. My scale is usually very consistent. I can step on and off of it several times and get the same exact weight, but today I stepped off and on it 4 times and got 4 different weights, so I think it needs new batteries. I bought some batteries today, so I'll try it again tomorrow! Kemp, I know we're all keeping your foodfest in the back of our minds today and hope you're having fun! It does sound amazing!! ![]() Labmini, I'm the same way, the more I'm off and on that darn scale, the more it has control over me, and I really need to STOP weighing all the time! Kizz, your sugar free ring pop made me laugh! TOM is definitely not our friend!Straphe, Good choice not to weigh until Wednesday! I need to follow your lead on that! Cheshire Girl, You're doing great and moving right on down! ![]() Julie, you're doing AWESOME!! You'll be fine at Red Lobster tonight. Those biscuits won't even tempt you. PassionateFire, you're moving on down! KUTGW!! DQ, enjoy your day and enjoy your sunshine! PrincessMommy, hang in there, the scale will move for us soon! I know it will!! Reta, you're rocking it!!! DQ – That turkey clubs sounds great. That is something that I always like to order too. Last time I gave ˝ to DH.
Kizz – love the SF ring pop! Straphe – Good that you are not letting the scale win. I bounced up and down 2-3 pounds the ENTIRE month of February. My body fought a hard battle to keep the weight! But I have begun to lose again. I just claim the win, but I hung in there the whole month! Cheshire – I like your menu. And if you were busy then I would say that it was enough. Nice whoosh! Julie – Congrats on the drop. As I said, I always try to “cut myself off” around 6:30 and I personally think it has done great things for my weight loss. Passion – weight loss is looking good!!!! Reta – Congrats on the Induction losses.! MtherGoos – I HATE it when that happens in the morning. LOL, I’m so bad, I will go and steal the 9v from the smoke detector just so I can get my weight for the day. And then go and buy a new battery on my lunch break at work. No, I am NOT obsessed .Mar 1: 171.8 M&E fast/ treadmill Mar 2: 168.0 M&E fast/ treadmill Mar 3: 169.2 M&E fast/ treadmill Mar 4: 168.4 M&E fast/ treadmill Mar 5: 167.8 M&E fast/ treadmill Mar 6: 166.4 M&E fast/ treadmill, BUT I cheated on the M&E fast and had 2 servings of salted roasted peanuts AND guess what happened - Mar 7: 168.4 M&E fast/ treadmill Mar 8: 167.2 M&E fast/ (no exercise) Mar 9: 166.8 M&E fast My plans changed today. We didn’t get to stay in Dayton as long as I wanted, because we had to spend the morning getting an ESTIMATE on my car. Someone backed into it when it was parked in the parking lot last night. SO, we just made a quick trip to Dayton an ate at the food court. Worked out great because all the kids got what they wanted to eat and mom did too! Was thinking about the treadmill tonight, but I think I will save it for the morning ![]()

Lori- You have been doing sooooooooooo good since starting the meat and egg fast! I remember in the February challenge you being frustrated with the long stalls and talking about trying one, and now look at you! Maybe I should copy everything you're doing! I live in Ohio too, so I could just follow you around all day, we could do cool stuff like get our cars backed into in a parking lot, eat sf ring pops and hit the treadmill -Ha!Ha!

Congrats Lori! Way to go!
Kizz, your post cracked me up! I feel the same way sometimes! I made it through a meal at Red Lobster with no cheddar biscuits!! They smelled so good too! I was much more tempted by the biscuits than the chocolate lava cake with ice cream that the kids had for dessert! I guess that's a good sign! :-) Hope everyone had a great day! We had beautiful weather for the first time in a long time so we spent a lot of time outside. I also finished decorating the house for Easter. I love Spring! B: coffee w/HWC, Atkins tex mex scramble (only ate about half of it, wasn't sitting right) L: Atkins shake, 2 deviled eggs (wasn't real hungry) D: sirloin steak, rock lobster tail, Caesar salad (no croutons), broccoli (all yummy!) Lots and lots of water! I feel incredibly stuffed right now so I fear the scale will not be kind tomorrow. After that dinner I will be happy to not see a gain! Fingers crossed...... |

Wow, another pound gone. And I feel great. So today, I'm happy to say I weight 177.
I rememember eating a tsp of CO as I walked out the door with my bag of porkrinds thinking, You're crazy Reta. Then when I got off the scale this morning, I thought, crazy aint so bad. ![]() I do plan on working out this week, but schedule won't allow it til Tuesday. Thanks everyone for being so open and honest about this woe. It really helps me. Someone noticed I don't eat very light carbs, and I simply said, They are not good for me. And walked away. It's just amazing. I think the best thing about this woe is that I havent craved any sweets. I want to put strevia or truvia in my coffee, but now it's not worth that carb. I will save that carb count for later, or simply be well below 20 today.

Julie congrats on not succumbing to biscuits!! And everyone else who's losing....fantastic!!! Guess we're starting to lose our hibernative winter fat! I had a gig last night in baltimore and got to bed at 4, after the clocks moved forward. Late to work, so no weighing. Eating yesterday was the other half of the turkey sandwich innards. I never eat beforee a gig, so i rummaged around when we got home and just had some odds and ends....
