Hurray! it is a great day to start. Just remember that days 1 thorugh 3 will likely be the hardest because of cravings, and some fatigue.... it is all perfectly normal. I made it through those days by keeping my food options extremely varied and (sorry) plentiful.... I had a couple of the endulge candy bars in my desk, Dark Chocolate shakes in the fridge, eggs, cheese, pepperoni, grilled chicken, broccoli..... all sorts of tasty foods that I liked within reach so that if I was feeling tempted, I had a whole array of delicious treats and foods to choose from. I did not eat everything, that would be counterindicated, haha, but the point was to make sure that I felt satisfied, so that I did not feel cheated or left out.
I started (again) 3 weeks ago and lost 12 lbs in the first 13 days. Been stalled for about 4 days, but this morning my scale showed another pound gone. :c) Good luck and have fun with it. ![]()

Pick up some of the new Atkins frozen meals at the market. They really are delish ~ (The crustless pot pie is so good.)

My advice is really give it a try. Don't cheat. I've been back at it for a week and I've lost 7 pounds. You WILL be successful if you follow the plan. So prepare yourself, stock up on meat, cheese, low-carb veggies and just remember that it does get easier!

Quote:
1/2 grapefruit has around 10 net carbs. That's half your day's carbs in one sitting! Likewise, 1/2 cup of strawberries (halved) has around 9 net carbs... Given the amount of carbs (from "acceptable" induction-sources) you might want to reconsider these fruits until you're further along. That much sugar at once, this early, is just going to make it difficult for you. |
