Back up, well I guess I am actually going to have to start counting calories. Only had 3 carbs all day 1.6 in the eggs and some spinach. Oh well off to the gym to see if that is the problem. Have a good one

Helloooo! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was good. Stayed on track eating LC. had a bit more cheese than I should have Saturday afternoon, but it kept me from snacking on crackers or bread. Does anyone else not drink enough water over the weekend? I drink 60oz+ M-F, but on the weekend we are just not sitting down enough to think about drinking water. Oh well. And this morning I skipped my 5am bootcamp. The baby let me sleep from 10-3. So I just had to sleep in until 6 to be functional at work. We'll definitely go for a walk at least after dinner tonight

B - 2 eggs, black coffee
L - quarter chicken leg, though I think I left it on my kitchen counter...
D - cheeseburger casserole. Family favorite! I always wrap the casserole in lettuce leaves. delish!

February Goal: 144! <---changed to something more realistic

2/1 - 152
2/2 - 150
2/3 - 160
2/4 - 155
2/5 - 154.6
2/6 - 153.2
2/7 - 153
2/8 - 152
2/9 - 148
2/11- 152

WOE: whatever works
Good morning! I'm glad that it's Monday......weekends really suck for me. I have a terribly hard time staying on plan...we had pizza on Friday & then turned right artound and had Culvers on Saturday. Yesterday I stayed on plan with a farmhouse scramble for bfast and 1.5 cheeseburger patties w/mayo last night. Here it is the second full week of Feb and I weight more than I did on the 1st. I need to pull my head outta my butt....

February goal: 203.4
2/1 - 210.8
2/2 - ?
2/3 - ?
2/4 - 210.8
2/5 - 212.4 gym
2/6 - 212.4
2/7 - 212.2 gym
2/8 - 210
2/9 - ?
2/10 - 214.2
2/11 - 211

I'm thinking that I need to change February's goal to just staying on plan....

Today:
B - lc bowl
L - turkey & green beans
D - pork steak & brussel sprouts

Facing these situations just takes a little patience and creative thinking. Eat only the pizza toppings and order a side salad. Culver's - just ate there last week - three cheese double with bacon, no bun please....delicious! Good luck on future excursions.

Ready to start a new week. Youngest daughter was home for the weekend for her birthday and we ate out twice but managed to figured what I could have. Still worried about carbs but I was in ketosis the last two days so it makes be feel a little more comfortable about choices.
1/14 252 Week/Total Loss
1/21 243 (-9,-9)
1/28 240 (-3,-12)
2/4 238 (-2,-14)
2/11 236 (-2,-16)

Yay, Julie! I've heard Onederland is a wonder place to be-hoping to move there this year!!

Lileve-hate the cravings, too! I'm slowly working out what starts them for me but boy can they wreck havoc!!

kempmuhlbauer-Ya' know in the past I discovered several times I gained weight not because of too many calories but too little. Others have commented that their bodies also didn't do well on too few calories. Good luck figuring it out!

LoriAS- Hope you and the kiddos feel better soon! Thanks for the suggestion on Culvers.

roxysmum-Yup, I choose sleeping over bootcamp when there's a baby in the mix!

mydear-It's a beautiful thing when it's going in the right direction no matter how much!!

HarmsWay- Keep fighting it-you'll make it!

Good morning everyone!!

My one day off this week is today, and i'm cleaning the house and packing more bags for the salvation army and value village.
Congrats the losers including julie...that's a milestone!

Just want to say that going off plan .... Which means eating more than 20 carbs a day...undermines you. Don't let cravings take over. Lori is right. No, you may NOT eat pizza crust, but you can eat the toppings. You can eat LC at just about any restaurant out there, including the chains. Make your low carb self decide what you're going to eat. Sugar and flour are not part of your vocabulary any more. That's what I do. It will work for you!

I had a good weekend, stayed on plan. For some reason I'm up a little this morning, but I'm not going to freak over it since I know I stayed on plan. I just hope the whooshie fairy comes and visits me in the next few days! (and so you don't think I'm nuts...the whooshie fairy refers to when you have a big loss all of the sudden! I'm sure some of you have already heard that term). But I'm VERY close to ONEderland, which was my goal for February, so I'm gonna keep at it!

2/8 - 203.6
2/9 - 201.6
2/10 - 201.2
2/11 - 203

Good afternoon everyone!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend! Looks like several people are moving right along with either their scale or inches! Congrats
I had a good weekend, stayed on plan even though we went out to eat several times. I have been on induction for 1 full week now...but not a real lb lost yet. I go up and down....
Going to give it a full month and see what happens. I did take measurements so I will be keeping on eye on that as well.
Susann: you stated you were in ketosis, are you using the ketone sticks? What color are yours? What I am asking really is how strong of a purple do they change to? Mine change but only registering either a trace or small amount. Lately they are staying more with the small sometimes in between small and medium on the color scale. I have been reading Dr. Atkins book and he stated light purple was ok but I have been trying my darnest to get it a darker color.
How strict is everyone with SF gum? I admit that I chew at least 2 pieces everyday because of the blah taste in my mouth. It states in the book "no SF candy"...he also states no gum but doesn't specify if he is talking about SF gum or not. I also take a calcium supplement that is SF...do you think that counts?
I have all the right symptoms : not hungry, yuk breath, not really tired but nothing to show for it yet. God knows I have fat in my butt and legs that need to be burned! Burn baby burn!!
Today:
B: 2 scrambled eggs with butter - 2 bacon strips
L: pulled pork with butter, SF jello
D: probably the pulled pork again
does anyone else drink the La Croix drinks? Nice change to drinking water all the time, just the bubbles makes it different. Bonus: my kids don't like them so they are all mine!!

So in my last post I said I was going to a get together Saturday night and I would not cheat. I stuck with my plan that evening BUT had two cocktails. I ended up staying the night with my friends. Since I was at their house that day I didn't eat much. They were fully aware of my LC eating. I got in my 64oz though.
B-Scrambled eggs with cheese
L-Atkins bar
D-2 beef patties with cheese, mayo, mustard from Jack in the Box
S-slice of cheddar, 1c popped popcorn*my other cheat*
Later in the evening I was feeling a lil hungry and thought I should eat more so I made up some left over rotisserie chicken thigh and drumstick with mayo and swiss cheese and threw in some shredded lettuce and ate that.

Today I'll stick with my 64oz of water
B-2 eggs, 3 bacon
L-Eat up left over chicken
D-Not sure

with valentine's day on thursday, will you be eating anything different that day?

In my head I would love to have thursday be a huge cheat day and just eat pounds of chocolate. But my last cheat day (which wasn't even that bad) cost me 10 pounds and over a week of lost weightloss. This still stings in my head.

Is there anything fun to eat that day that won't blow the weight loss? And by fun I mean something sweet.

Susann: you stated you were in ketosis, are you using the ketone sticks?Yes, I am. What color are yours? Tends to stay in the trace to light. What I am asking really is how strong of a purple do they change to? Mine change but only registering either a trace or small amount. Lately they are staying more with the small sometimes in between small and medium on the color scale. I have been reading Dr. Atkins book and he stated light purple was ok but I have been trying my darnest to get it a darker color.I thought you just wanted to to show that you were in ketosis but the darkness of color showed how hydrated you were. So you really don't want the darker color because it shows you aren't getting enough fluid. Would someone with more knowledge on this please chime in?

Hi guys and gals!

I'd like to join in if you don't mind. Been on induction for almost a month, and had two cheat days, one being just now... Had a massive pizza... I know, I know, but I didn't tell any of my friends and flatmates that I'm doing Atkins, so it's hard to provide an explanation as to why I'm not eating delicious and carb-infested pizza.

Anyway, I've been on a roll ever since I started, lost over 20 pounds within a month, but I feel that I need someone to check in with, if I don't want to go on massive binges all the time. This way I have to answer to someone if I go up.

February goal: 199

Feb 01 - 216
Feb 11 - 210.5

At this rate I think I will be lucky to lose a pound a month. It seems like a whole lot of going up and down up and down with myself and a whole lot of others as far as I can see. I really think it's better for me to not obsess on weighing myself every day, but it's so hard not to really. I stay on plan always, and by that I mean I never ever take a single bite of anything forbidden. I had a very hard time the first month of induction with extreme fatigue and headaches and the whole Atkins flu, mine just wouldn't let up. Well now it finally has, and I don't dare take a chance on putting myself through that sugar detox hell again just for a little bite of bread or whatever.

I figure I'll finish out the month with weighing like this every day, and hopefully it will pay off and the yo-yo mess will straighten itself out. I looked at the January challenge and the people going up and down DID in fact, reach their goals so that gives me hope
Great job to all of you who I'm referring to from the January challenge (DairyQueen, I'm kind of a big fan...lol)

yesterday's menu:

B: 5 pieces of bacon
L: atkins shake (we were on the road and had to improvise)
D: BW3's naked wings with an amazing dip I made from Hellmans SouthWestern Ranch mixed with Walden Farms thick and Spicy BBQ sauce!!!
(Normally eat more then this, but I had horrible cramps, we were gone all day on the road, and I just was not hungry)

February Goal: 190

2/1: 196.4
2/2: 196.0
2/3: 196.8
2/4: 196.4
2/5: 197.4
2/6: 195.2
2/7: 195.8
2/8: 196.8
2/9: 197.0 (that "time" again. Ugh.)

Kizz..think of it this way... You have lost 13 pounds since january...is that right????
You don't have to weigh everly day. I try to....my weight does fluctuate a lot!!!! I'll see if i can take a picture of my graph, though. It's the big picture that counts!!! The hardest thing is to keep from being discouraged!!!

I almost cheated so badly today, still have a carb monster growling in my ear, but my little fat angel told me to get on plan. So i dragged the kids to the shop and bought lots of meat, veggies and eggs and i prepared a bunch of delish foods (hamburgers for tomorrow, Bolognese sauce for on zucchini, rotisserie chicken and deviled eggs, i will freeze some of these things for the near future).
I am back and roaring with enthusiasm.
Seeing you all work so hard and sticking with it has really motivated me! Thnx everyone .... I will keep battling that carb monster!
