WTG Kemp! You are a losing machine

I'm not doing that great - I'm only down 1 lb from my pre-vacation weight in January. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled that I only gained 5.8 after 2 weeks in Mexico and have lost that plus a bit extra. I was on plan MOST of the time but did allow myself some off plan items and had plenty of beer while there - but what's with the stall???? Argh!

Hi everyone!

Kemp and all other losers, great job!!!! And to others who are stalled- we need to hang tough. It has to move, just need to have faith!

I weigh in tomorrow and I am not nervous per say, just really curious to see where I end the month. I have been very on plan so we will see.

Food has been simple but good and workouts are getting more regular which they needed to be. I have been adding fat and cutting back a bit on veggies, but I think in March it will be time to cut back on artificial sweeteners and dairy but keep some more veg in there.

Question for the group- how do you feel/react to the following foods/items:

Oopsies
Stevia
Cold cuts

Would love to hear from anyone who uses or has dabbled with these. I really enjoy cold cuts and like cream cheese roll ups, I use 1 stevia in the raw in my morning tea. And am just so curious about oopsies. I don't think they would be any kind of issue but would love to hear.

Good Morning!!!

I'm actually quite happy, even though I am up from from my lowest weight. I started low carb (again) on the 27th of last month, which is the date in my signature. I've lost 7.4 lbs in 4 weeks. Water weight or not, I'll take it I've gone from being a complete couch potato to standing at least half of the day at the office & working out at the gym a minimum 2-3 times a week. I've also increased the weight on almost all of the machines that I use at the gym & increased the length, speed and intensity of my cardio.

My goal for the upcoming month is to stay focused on my eating and not "cheat" quite as much. Weight loss would be a bonus so I'd also LOVE to see less than 200 lbs on the scale, but I'm quite confident that it will come in due time.

Today:
B - nothing again...not hungry
L - egg drop soup w/spinach, oopsie grilled cheese
D - philly cheese steak omelet

coffee, lemon water & green tea to drink
Thinking about going to the gym tonight cuz they were closed last night due to the weather....

Nicki:
Way to go on the loss and the gym increase. as you know I am a gym rat when doing this WOE, just need to keep at it when I fall of the wagon. It is good to see your dedication. I am also rarely hungry in the mornings but I always force down a piece of bacon and some egg beaters at the very least. They say it is the best way to jump start your metabolism so I guess I buy into that. Keep losing that weight!!!

Labmini: Good luck on the scale tomorrow. I do not eat any of those things so sorry. What is an oopsie roll?

Thanks Kemp! You sir, are an inspiration.

Labmini: Oopsie is a variation of Dr Atkins revolution roll. Coined by cleochatra, it is a mixture of eggs and cream cheese made into a "bread" of sorts. I use them. Search oopsie for all kinds of hits.

My body is definitely not giving up the weight this month. I'm okay with that. I'm still down about 46 pounds in about 5 1/2 months. I am reviewing my menus for january and december to see if I have added anything that may be causing this month long stall. I am glad that I was tracking my food, but frustrated with myself that i'm not doing as good a job in the last few weeks. I'm afraid I may have some hidden carbs and now I do not have the tracking to see what I was doing. Fortunately I DO have the menus I was using when I WAS losing, so I will just have to go back to those

2 boiled eggs with a spoon of mayo

Had a good day but my youngest son got sick today so had to leave work early. Once he was taken care of I took advantage of the extra time and got my big butt on the treadmill for an hour. I always feel better after working out! I used to have no energy and never exercise. Now I enjoy it and feel so much better after.

B: chorizo/egg/cheese quiche, coffee with HWC and Torani syrup
L: beef and broccoli soup
D: beef and broccoli soup, small portion
S: oopsie roll with cream cheese (with cinnamon and Splenda mixed in)
Lots and lots of water!

Wow! Hard to believe February is over! It went by so fast! I ended up losing only 6 lbs. this month (down to 196 this morning), but I am getting more comfortable with this WOE and figuring out what works for me. I've been doing it for 2 months now (this time) and lost a total of 24 lbs. so far. I am happy with that! With all the stalls I had in Feb, maybe March will be better! I think my original Feb goal of 190 will become my March goal. Since I am home with a sick kid today, I will get some extra exercise in today.

One recent change - I started taking magnesium supplements 3 days ago and I am finally "regular" again. I had really been struggling with constipation and stomach pain so I am very excited to find something that works so effectively. I have been taking 500 mg of magnesium with dinner and it has taken full effect by morning. :-) Much better than the pain experienced with laxatives!!

Congrats to everyone on your success this month! I hope we can all do it together again next month. I look forward to reading everyone's posts every day and sharing our struggles and successes. Let's keep it up and get healthy together!

I know I will not continue to lose like that next month so will scale back my expectations of a pound a day average. So will go with around 14 pounds to get me to 228.

I'm only down one pound for the month, but that's OK...i'll take it!!!
Last night we went to the re-opening if the restaurant on the city park on which i live...and i had the branzini cerviche appetizer, which was good, but an incredibly small amount, even for an appetizer! Mike had one of the other appetizers...calimari and baby shrimp, breaded and fried..so none for me. We each had a glass of wine and the bill was $42. Yikes!!!!

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

Whoa kemp!!! You were so determined these last few days, and they paid off!
Fantastic! Same for julie, passionate, straphe and everyone else who weighs in today...i don't know anyone here IRL but i'm so proud of you!!! Waiting to hear from, mydear and kizz, avy, cheshiregirl, lorie, katiejo, angelface, harmsway, labmini,princessmommy, tasha, bethany, nicki, roxysmum, and everyone else!!!

And if you didn't do as well as you planned, like me, well, at least you have the spirit and gumption to forge ahead. I'm actually pretty happy where I am right now, and it feels as if my body is adjusting to this weight point. So I'm good.

New challenge starts tomorrow, and spring is right around the corner! I'm going to get some of those colorful slim pencil jeans..in purple and bright blue and orange...how about you?

Hello Everyone!
Wow Kemp! Congratulations! You are really making it work! Way to go!

Yesterday was a bust. My husband, our daughter and myself all caught a nasty bug. We all just laid there. It was quite sad. Hubby did go to the store and got gatorade for us and some bananas (BRAT diet). After going to sleep at 6:30pm I woke up this morning feeling like myself. We all do! Anyways, even though I feel good, eating makes me cringe. So we will see how today goes...

L - TBD (i have a qtr chicken leg in the work fridge)
D - TBD (we usually order pizza and myself a salad, but that just seems kinda gross right now)

Julie- thanks for explaining how you take magnesium. I am headed to the store today and it was on my list. I really need something to help with regularity.

I was disappointed with my weigh in this morning. Was 168.5 so technically didn't hit my goal of 168. I had at one point this month, but it didn't stick.

So I need to reevaluate for March. Stevia is already gone, so no artificial sweeteners at all. I think I need cut back on the cheese, and be better about vegetables. I guess just really need to clean it up. I think I have said that before! I am starting a new job mid march and I am determined to get in a good workout and eating groove. Not to fall into the practices that hurt me in the past with my last job.

I also need step up the workouts. Been pretty regular with them but need to get sweaty often!!!

So I am going to think about my march goals today. Maybe I need to track calories too? I am just not sure.

Great feb everyone, and thanks for this thread it was a really wonderful place to check in every day! Here's to March!!!

I also have to say i'm kinda disapointed that yet again i've not met my goal! Seems like i've been trying Forever to get to 145! I will Not give up though and I Will get there someday!

princessmommy - i am right there with you! I just want to get into the lower 140's! Eventhough I do bootcamp 3x a week, I need to add cardio in the other 4 days. Also I realized I am not eating enough. I need to hit 1,200 calories. So I am thinking about adding more eggs throughout the day to reach that goal.
