confession time for me. We ate at a catfish place last night for my son and my Moms B-days. No menu online to look at ahead of time. Ugh! So basically all the options I had were steak or boiled shrimp. Fish too but i'd had so much fish lately it sounded nasty to me. So I got the boiled shrimp, green beans and clam strips. Yep breaded! 3 hushpuppies! And when we got home a tiny piece of my sons B-day cake. I'm proud of myself in a way for only having a tiny piece But then again i'm irritated that I had any at all! Kwim? So anyway lots of water for me today and keep going forward!

confession time for me! We went out to a catfish resturant last night to celebrate my sons birthday and my Moms B-day. No online menu to look at ahead of time! So I try to figure out what to eat there. They had steak But dang at 26.00! So that was out. So I settled for boilec shrimp and green beand w/ clam strips. Yep breaded! Ate 3 hushpuppies! Then my sons B-day cake! I had a tiny piece! Today I made my husband hide what was left of the cake! Lol!! I can't believe I've made it 13 days so far. :P I was 194.6 the day before I started loading, so, the weight loss is rather pathetic, in my opinion. I'm sticking it out the 21 days on principle, but I sure won't do another round, when I know I lose weight as fast or faster, on a normal low carb and healthy eating plan. Bah!

hCG, Kemp. It's good for the emotional side of eating, to train your mind and body to understand real hunger, but, that I didn't need, and I lose weight fine with regular low carb. It was worth a try though, some people get amazing results.

Thanks all I must have stepped on the scale a dozen times. I was stoked to go from 201 to 199!!
Today's menu
B-3 eggs scrambled with lil mozzarella cheese, 3 slices bacon
L-Rotisserie thigh w/drumstick, tomato basil string cheese, and romaine with ranch
D-Outback Steak House; 10oz Ribeye, broccoli, salad with ranch. YUM!! I ate it all
Wouldn't be surprised if my morning weight goes back to 201 lol

Major confession time for me

I was sick all day yesterday (and today) with a cold/flu bug and after eating well all day it got to 8pm and I blew it, biscuits (cookies) x 5, cereal bar, half a bag of skittles (dam those things!) and a toasted English muffin

What I find most frustrating is that when I started this woe back in April 2011 I was able to eat without so much as a mouthful of anything off plan, I was soooo strict and sooo good for 18 months and it worked and I kept the weight off. But now I seem to have one slip up after another and even when I am 100% it does not seem to be working

So here's my plan, I'm going to be 100% from today until the end of march (please can we do a march challenge?) and I'm hoping to get back in the zone where I can go for more than a month without a slip up!

Please feel free to add any advice - I know I have more HWC but then I always have and the woe worked so I'm going to stick with that as its what keeps me on plan.

Hang in there Cheshire Girl! We've all been there! Let's get through March staying on plan together! With that said, I do plan to splurge a bit on Easter Sunday so that will be my motivation to stay clean the rest of the month! :-)

My frustration level is rising a bit......still at 198. I was so good yesterday and I exercised more than normal. Praying for a "whoosh" soon!

Plan to do a lot of cooking today. Will slow cook a beef roast and a pork tenderloin. Last night I made some homemade Mexican chorizo and I plan to cook it with scrambled eggs and cheese in muffin tins for quick breakfast this week. I will also make a big batch of mashed cauliflower to use as a side with the meats. Hopefully this prep work will make this week more successful!

February goal: 190 (at this point, it is clear this was way too ambitious!)

Cheshire:I feel your pain. I consider myself real good at this plan and I have never made it more than 60 days without a blow out. Blow outs happen, sometimes planned sometimes not. You always get right back on it so that is good. Like I said before I always remember how that blowout food tastes and that is a big downfall for me and lots of people. The plan of the plan is the plan to do the plan and get back on the plan before there is no longer a plan!! Make sense?!?!?!? LOL Just keep on the plan all of March and then we will come up with the new plan to stay on plan for the next day. It is like one day or one week or one month at a time. Just keep coming back an posting and we will keep supporting each other. I have a planned cheat on the weekend of March 9th so I hope I have your will power to hop right back on plan after I break my plan that weekend. OH and sorry you have the flu I know for sure that was not the plan. LOL

Avy: Thanks for that, I have heard about HCG. I lose fine on lC most of the time so maybe later I will try that plan if the current stall continues.

Julie: Oh the dreaded stall. I am in day four of one right now and it is pissing me off to say the least. I see you are in day 7 of a stall and still staying focused that is awesome to see, gives me focus to continue on myself. I am doing the exact same thing today, cooking for the week tonight and hoping for success, well not hoping but having success. I am going to smoke some rib racks and do some chicken legs and thighs. I want to just do breast for the lower calorie part but just do no like white meat and I should not have to on this plan because there are no carbs in this chicken. Oh well we will see.

Good morning all!!!! Not that it is that good. Have been stalled for last four days in a row, sticking solid at 247 and not happy. I guess when I eat over 8 carbs it will stall me for days, not going to go crazy and have nuts anymore or mussells or scallops and that was making it worth it to stay on plan, but looks like that is not allowed for me if I want to continue to lose weight. I guess it can only be a meat and egg fast if I actually want to lose weight on this plan.

Why IS that?! It's the same for me! Did we do something to mess up our metabolisms or what? So many people can cruise on down the ladder with 20 carbs, but not me. I'm like you, I will only maintain my weight with anything above 8. To actually lose, I have to almost cut them out completely. The meat and egg fast is great if you only need to do it for a few days, but I can't imagine doing this long term. I'm dreaming of anything sweet or a nice salad right about now. Oh well, it's like you said, one day at a time.

Afternoon! Just checking in real quick while I eat my lunch (taco meat and cottage cheese). Yesterday sucked...skipped breakfast, had a roast beef sandwich and curly fries for lunch & a protein shake for dinner..... Moving on.....today I killed it in the gym for 1.5hrs this morning and got my grocery shopping done. Skipped breakfast and I've not decided on dinner yet, but I'm getting ready to cook for the week, so I'll have tons of options. I'll check back in later.

Scale was up to 215.2 today...not suprised after my menu yesterday. I'll be lucky to end the month without an overall gain. March will be my month to focus on getting back into onderland....

hello all!
i'm at work, but reallllly tired. our gig last night was stupendous- in a huge german beer hall - they were almost at capacity and it was their best night since they re-opened 18 months ago. It had been pretty much polka bands up until then. really! The dance floor was packed for every song, all night. And we started at 8 and ended about 11:15, so all was good. We do a lot of dancing on stage, too, so that was one of my workouts for the week (haha). No food, but about 4 mich ultras. Got to bed at 3am, though.
And woke up to house guests. Mike made eggs and bacon - i went to take a shower, went downstairs, and do you think that there was one strip of bacon or egg left? WHAT THE???? There WERE egg sandwiches at work, and i had the innards of one of those (with a sausage patty) and two thin slices of cheese and ham. That's a lot for me before 2pm! I bet I don't eat much for the rest of the day.

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

I have beef chunks cooking in the crock pot in beef broth with celery and onions. Will add some broccoli later. I made "tarts" out of eggs, chorizo and cheese (like muffins, but used my tart pans so they are flatter and wider - perfect in oopsie rolls cooked in same pans. I now have oopsie rolls baking. I added a little vanilla this time hoping to improve the flavor of the rolls. Fingers crossed!

I went for a run with my boys today. My youngest rode his bike and my teenager ran with me. It was the first nice day we've had in a long time. Wa nice to be outside.

My eating has been good today. I had one of my chorizo tarts for breakfast. Eggs over medium with ham and sausage for lunch (at Ihop). For dinner I will have some of my beef with veggies. Praying for some movement on the scale tomorrow!!

Well after my awful blow out yesterday I have been very controlled today

Brunch - 3 egg omelette with 2oz cheese 3 slices of bacon
Tuna salad with red sweet peppers
Several coffees with HWC
Much more water today
1 1/2 oz almonds

I have realised I'm probably adding too many onions and toms to my broth and eating too many sweet red peppers in my salads as they are over 6g per small pack

Going to really track everything I eat in much more detail this week.

Can anyone suggest a really simple app to track food?

Yes, I agree...best to stay clear of the onions/tomatoes and sweet peppers. They will add up soooooooo fast and sort of sneak ya

The App I use is :Lose it: and :Carb Master: both free
