So when I was getting dressed on Monday (I don't wear the pants on weekends because I don't take my walks on weekends) I was planning to fasten the pants with a safety pin to avoid potential embarrassment. When I put the pants on -- over my thermals and tights -- there was at least an INCH of extra space around the waist!

Over the course of TWO DAYS, the pants went from a snap popping open while I was standing still and talking to looking the way they look in that photo. I didn't eat any differently during the weekend. And I'm sure I didn't just *suddenly* burn that fat during those two random days. I think it just took a while, for whatever reason, for the progress that I'd been working on to *show*. The pants had been tight since I first fit into them, back in November. And they've been loose since I put them on that Monday morning for my walk. I *appear* to have simply dropped half a pants size in two days, after being essentially the same size for two months.

Big Stevie, my partner-in-crime over on the Induction Babies thread, recently went six consecutive weeks at the same weight. Then, last week, he got on the scale and was 12 pounds down from his previous week's weigh-in. Sometimes, the body takes a little while to show you that all of your hard work has paid off. I'm sure that none of this is news to you. But I wanted to say it because I really admire you guys and I think you're all doing much better than it might currently *feel*.

Cheers to all! I only weigh and measure my body once per month, so your daily progress on the Challenges keeps me motivated. Keep up the good work, y'all! You're all wonderful inspiration.
Thanks for this! I do realize I'm losing inches, after wearing the skirt that didn't fit before my vacation in late Jan/Feb I tried on every single pair of pants that I had in my 'too small' pile. I'm very happy to report that even though the scale is not budging, I was able to put 8 pairs into my 'now fits' pile. The pile of pants that I have that are too small has gone from 20-25 to 5!

Julie I felt like that the other day! I was Starving All day!
Well it looks like we here in Arkansas are in for an Ice storm! We haven't had a winter yet here but looks like that's gonna change! We're up on a mountain so they say maybe about an inch of ice with snow and sleet too! Ugh! Thank God for a wood stove so if the power goes out like it did back in 2009 w/ that ice storm we will stay warm! I stocked up on eggs, bacon, and the staples for my non-lc family.

Day 23 of plan, down 26 pounds. I am going to stick with my current plan of 2-5 carbs a day. I only drink water and have not had a caffine type drink since day one. Literaly I only drink water. (except for sat. night beer at the funeral) I also have stayed all natural, no atkins products or bars or anything. I have stayed with just meat, eggs, and cheese. That being said I want an atkins bar, and some sugar free candy so bad I cannot stand it. But the results are so good right now I am too scared to change anything. I did add 10 almonds a day this week and so far has not affected anything yet.

Julie: Hunger is not part of this WOE at all. If hungry eat. Does not have to be a steak but eat. I learned real quick that not eating enough is the fastest way to stall. We are all such dedicated dieters that we think we should just be hungry sometimes. I ate like a pig yesterday and still lost a pound. I do exercise a lot so that helps, but I eat when hungry. Just my two cents. And yes breakfast is very important meal, I am never hungry in the mornings but force myself to eat 2-3 eggs and some sausage.

Avy: That is impressive loss and way to keep it off and way to keep moving down each month. That is awesome to see.

Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

Even though the scale isn't budging, I finally got my first "You are really looking good" comment this morning at bootcamp. It's really what I have been wanting to hear. I am losing weight for my children, myself and my husband, but regardless, I needed someone to notice and say they see the difference. Like many people say, the scale isn't the entire picture. This week I am finally wearing my button down shirts to work. No more maternity shirts!

Happy Hump Day!

Today I dropped that couple pounds of dang water weight I had picked up yesterday, but looking back I just realized that I weigh exactly the same today as I did on Feb 1st. Strangely this would normally make me give up, but not this time. I actually started one week before on Jan 27th @ 218.4 and I've gone from being a couch potato to working out at least 3 times a week! I will get to goal, my body just might have a different schedule than my mind does.

Sigh...I was TOO busy yesterday and let myself get WAY too hungry by the time I got home last night...and I wound up eating a bowl of macaroni and cheese.

So I'm definitely not doing so hot this week. So far I'm on plan today and am going to make an effort to stay that way. I had low carb things I could have eaten in my hungry desperation last night, but I just didn't.

Has anyone ever typed up a long message and responded to everyone, put stats only to lose the whole dang thing before posting? I hate my Mac laptop, I would rather be able to right click, copy and paste instead of all this confusing apple comands. Grrrrr......

Hi everyone- way to hang tough. Just keep on truckin! It's the only thing we can do right?

The weight from the weekend came off, I am starting to wonder how much weight is coming off from LC vs weaning my LO. I dropped from 2 to one pump this week and saw a whoosh. I was one of the lucky women who held onto weight while nursing, instead of burning a bunch of extra calories. I have pumped my fool head off and have a freezer full, but now it's time to stop, happy mom, happy baby right?!

Continuing to stay on plan hoping to continue the downward trend. I need to work on water, vegetables and cutting all artificial sweeteners out except my one stevia in the morning...again happy mom, happy everyone else!

Hang in there everyone!!!!!

Kemp, amazing progress so far and much appreciate your input! Congrats to all who had a dip on the scale! So motivational!

Regarding my recent hunger issue, I have been eating consistent quantities of food since I started this so it seemed weird that my appetite would increase so dramatically overnight! Today was a little better, but i still had a few snacks (which I normally don't need or want). I typically skip a traditional breakfast because I put about 1/4 cup of HWC in my coffee. Also, I find that I am more hungry during the day when I eat a bigger breakfast. I will try to add some eggs though tomorrow if this ridiculous hunger doesn't go away soon!

Have a great evening! Getting on the treadmill to burn off my extra LC snacks today!!

Feb 20 248 same weight as yesterday, had to happen some time.

Not worried just water I am sure. Will keep on doing what has been working. Busy morning will check back in later.

My new goal may be a little lofty but not going to stop working towards it. Today will try and work out and going to actually try and check my calorie intake. Yesterday was probably 2500 calories.

This is what I ate yesterday;
B-3 eggs and sausage -480 calories
l- 16 oz rib eye, sauteed spinach -1200 calories
D-12 oz pork chop, chicken thigh with skin, pork rib - 700 calories
snacks: proscuitto, pork rinds, cheese - 400 calories at least.

Well that explains the same weight at least, once I think about it.

Happy Thursday! I'm still trying for my February goal of 235, but every time I weigh - nothing (I'm either at 240 or 242). Therefore I have decided to wait until February 28 - to weigh and measure. It was really hard trying not to step on the scale this morning - but I did it - LOL.

Hope everyone is doing good and staying on plan! I can't believe February is almost over!

my weight is all over the place! What causes all of these 3lb ups and downs? Regardless I am finally seeing a change in how my clothes fit. I am wearing my pre-maternity clothes again. Into them after 4 months since the baby was born is outstanding to me. With my first baby, it took me well over 1.5 years to get to this size. I am still know where close to my pre-pre pregnancy weight (125), but I'll get there! Anyways this morning it felt like I had been shopping. I actually got to choose what I wanted to wear. Instead of the past few months of the same 3 maternity shirts.
