Well, dang. Just as i'm smugly patting myself on the back, i weigh today and i am up almost two pounds!!! Wow! I thought about what was different yesterday? Well, I had 6 pecan halves and 8 small blanched almonds. And 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. Today....no nuts and no snacking. Other eating yesterday...omelet and 2 slices of bacon for brunch and 5 wings and a salad...it was the Worst! We were at a little mom and pop italian place and i thought i was ordering an antipasto platter and it turned out to be an iceberg lettuce salad with lunch meat on top, plus a hard boiled egg and some pepperoncini. Grrah!!! I ate half the egg, half a slice of provolone, left the ham and whatevertheotherslicesofmeat was, and a pepperoncini. And a little mozzarella off of mike's pizza.
So anyway.... Today....no snacking. I'm visiting my dad today and we're having sauerbraten tonight...yay!! And that is what i'll be eating today. Kizzkazz....i am very very strict on food, but i have always allowed mich ultra, miller lite or bud select (least amt of calories and carbs) or wine. I mostly drink extra brut freixenet, which is cheap but delish (and i am a semi wine snob). The good news is that i am comfortably wearing the size 6 levis that i bought in the thrift the oth day!!!

YES!!! I feel your pain! I know I am being impatient, and really I have all the time in the world, since I have chosen this as a way of life, not a fad diet, but come on already! When I know I have not cheated or gone over on carbs and the pounds just sloooooooooooowly tick off (and I mean one a week if I'm lucky)then I just would like to see a little reward now and again on the scales. I know that this is the result of me being 38 this time around. My body is fighting for every little pound...grrrr.
Shelly, yes those damn sugar free deserts can slow me down a bit too.....but they keep me from cheating. I know for a fact if I couldn't eat a few pieces of SF candy now and again or crunch on a pork rind or two, I would go NUTS and probably cheat. BTW, I was thinking that when you go to that Catfish restaurant for your sons 16th, why not ask them to fry you some unbattered catfish? They may do it for you Oh yeah, I forgot to post yesterdays menu: B:two fried eggs two small sausage patties L: salt and pepper pork rinds dipped in chicken cheese dip (total 4 carbs) D:Two thin pork chops with small salad S: HWC treat and lots of Crystal Lite peach Bulleni drops in water ![]() |

i'm back from my daughters house i spent the weekend with her and my grandkids, but it was so cold and windy we didn't get to do much, but we did go to the movies to see, Beautiful Creatures. (good movie)and they ate a big tub of pop corn they smelled like it had just been popped but i stayed focused and didn't let the smell temp me. i weighed 243.4 this morning so the numbers are still up and down for me but i haven't been this weight in decades so im pretty proud of myself at the minute.. have a blessed one all

I have basically maintained for 19 days. My body is being stubborn and not wanting to give up the pounds. However, I think the inches are still going. I also cannot complain about this stall, because From Sept 19 - Feb 1 I have lost 46 pounds. I think my body is rebelling against my intentions. I intend to win this one! I will keep on keeping on!

Well...Sunday night I had one of "those" nights...where anything low carb related just sounded revolting to me and I begged my husband to get me a Subway sandwich. And I'm not gonna lie...it was good. It was an amazing flat bread mayonnaise-y turkey sandwich, and it was just what I wanted.
I am right back on plan. I purposely didn't weigh myself today because I'm sure I'll be stalled out for a few days. Was it worth it? Maybe, maybe not. I really did enjoy the sandwich. The real win for me is getting back on plan quickly! ![]()

Feb 18: 202 Thank you all for the encouragment. I was just so over it yesterday! Today the scale was giving me numbers between 197-203 this morning. So I stepped away and decided that I would reway after my shower. I do have my menu's but they're not that great like they have been. Lately I have not been that hungry. I do stick with LC choices, except Valentines day when I had a slice of chocolate cake. I know as of lately I am not getting enough veggies like I was. I am not exercising at all, right now. I drink 32-64oz of water a day and only water. As any one taken weight loss supplements??? I friend of mine has lost 60lbs within the last year. She said 2 things have helped her. A pill called Healthe Trim which she took to her doc and he gave her the go ahead. And she said cutting back her meals. She eats smaller portions and eats whatever she wants. I was thinking about giving it a go, I mean what do I really have to lose, right?!?

I've decided I need to shake things up a bit. I am having a hard time getting back at the workouts since I've been sick for the last few weeks. Therefore, I am starting a 7-day challenge to get me back on track. I'm hoping that this will break my stall as well. Join me if you are interested.

I know for me, going off plan can stall me for days, and I just have to decide if it's worth it or not. The couple of times I have in the last month, I was okay with it and just didn't let the scale bug me for a good 3-4 days. Then I would start seeing drops again. Are you staying strictly on plan for long periods of time without straying? If you are a more sensitive carb reactor then even getting a little bit off could really mess you up for a good week before you'll start dropping again. I'd stay away from diet pills if possible - even when touted as "all natural" there are some crazy things in them! |

The scale finally moved today! However, I fear it will be short lived as I ate more today than I have in a long time. I haven't had much of an appetite since I started this WOE but today I couldn't stop eating! Not sure what is going on. I worked out later than usual yesterday and woke up starving. I usually only have coffee with HWC for breakfast but today I added two oopsie rolls with cream cheese and cinnamon on them. Then for lunch I had an Atkins crustless pot pie and for dinner chicken taco salad (no lettuce). To make matters worse, I had an Atkins shake and a daybreak bar for snacks (terrible sweet cravings today). Hopefully my appetite goes back to normal tomorrow and hopefully I can make it until bedtime without eating more! Thankfully i was able to stick with LC stuff but it was way too many calories!! I just had dinner an hour ago and my stomach is growling again! WTH??
Sorry to hear that so many of us are struggling! Please try to stay strong and keep us posted so we can cheer each other on! I look forward to reading this thread every day! You guys are great! Hope everyone had a great day! February goal: 190 (at this point, it is clear this was way too ambitious!) 2/1 - 202 2/2 - 200 2/3 through 2/9 - bounced around each day between 200 and 202 2/10 - 200 2/11 - 199!!!!! :-). ONEderland! 2/12 - 198 2/13 - 198 2/14 - 198 2/15 - 198 2/16 - 198 2/17 - 200 :-( temporary departure from ONEderland......stupid fried rice! :-) 2/18 - 198 back in ONEderland.........hope to stay there this time! 2/19 - 197 Yippee!! |

Hello, Challengers!
I'm not a member of the Challenge, so please excuse me for butting my chubby nose into your business. But I see that you guys are feeling a pound-loss crunch this month and I just wanted to say something that I'm sure you all already know: weightloss is *tricky* and the scale isn't always the most accurate gauge of how much fat you've lost over a given period of time. I'm writing this note because I had a weird experience a few weeks ago. I go out walking on weekdays and I wear a pair of windbreaker pants. One Friday, a few weeks ago, I ran into some friends and one of the snaps on my pants popped open while I was talking to them. I wear wool thermals under the pants and winter running tights under the thermals under the pants, so there are layers that bulk the pants out. But I was MORTIFIED that my pants unsnapped while I was talking to people! So when I was getting dressed on Monday (I don't wear the pants on weekends because I don't take my walks on weekends) I was planning to fasten the pants with a safety pin to avoid potential embarrassment. When I put the pants on -- over my thermals and tights -- there was at least an INCH of extra space around the waist! Here is a photo of me wearing the pants with thermals and tights underneath: Over the course of TWO DAYS, the pants went from a snap popping open while I was standing still and talking to looking the way they look in that photo. I didn't eat any differently during the weekend. And I'm sure I didn't just *suddenly* burn that fat during those two random days. I think it just took a while, for whatever reason, for the progress that I'd been working on to *show*. The pants had been tight since I first fit into them, back in November. And they've been loose since I put them on that Monday morning for my walk. I *appear* to have simply dropped half a pants size in two days, after being essentially the same size for two months. Big Stevie, my partner-in-crime over on the Induction Babies thread, recently went six consecutive weeks at the same weight. Then, last week, he got on the scale and was 12 pounds down from his previous week's weigh-in. Sometimes, the body takes a little while to show you that all of your hard work has paid off. I'm sure that none of this is news to you. But I wanted to say it because I really admire you guys and I think you're all doing much better than it might currently *feel*. Cheers to all! I only weigh and measure my body once per month, so your daily progress on the Challenges keeps me motivated. Keep up the good work, y'all! You're all wonderful inspiration. |

Great story Trillex! Thanks much for sharing! There do seem to be a lot of inconsistencies on the scale with this WOE but it is certainly worth it! I haven't felt this good in years!

Yesterday my carb count was approx 15g.Thanks Trillex for that - sometimes we forget about the inches! Have a good day - I'll be back with food diary later xxx |

After my day of non-stop eating it is no surprise I am up a pound. I woke up starving again but will try to fight through the hunger today and watch portion control. This is weird though to be so hungry! What I have always loved about this WOE is the lack of hunger. Hope it passes soon! My plan for today is to eat.......
