I'm declaring February as "Not Giving Up the Fat" Month. Our bodies are being very stubborn this month!! I think our subconcious is telling us to eat because of the cold. I could not stay out of the food this weekend. Everything I ate was on plan, but I ate a lot of it!

Looks like I have recovered from my fried rice episode! Hoping the scale moves down again sometime this week! I will get back on the treadmill today and try to stay strong with my food choices. I find it much harder to be good on the weekends. I think I stay more focused during the week as I plan ahead more for lunch and dinner and I don't have much down time. I need to try to stay busy today! Taking the kids to the movies and praying the smell of popcorn doesn't drive me crazy. Did a test run last night and made the kids microwave popcorn and I was able to resist the smell! :-) Hope that strength continues through today. Congrats to those that are losing! Also congrats to those that are a bit stalled but staying strong! It helps so much to share our experiences!

G'morning! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was good. I stayed on LC eating saturday with no problems and then sunday went good until I ended up eating dinner out - meatballs, small portion of mashed potatoes and split a slice of chocolate cake with my hubby. Even though my weight jumped, I am ok with that. It was one cheat meal and I know 80% of the weight gain is water retention. I NEVER drink enough water on the weekends.
Anyways, here is to a great week for all of us! exercise - bootcamp this morning. maybe an after dinner walk. maybe. B - protein drink L - quarter chicken leg D - white castle casserole. I did great (ok maybe not....we had cocktails) last night. The kid picked a local bar/grill for his birthday dinner....I had a HUGE cobb salad. It was so big, I was only able to eat half of it. For less that $8...I'll definitely order it again. Well the funeral will be a two today. Todd was one of my fraternity brothers so Saturday night was about 20 mich. ultras with the old crew. But did not cheat on the food at all. There is not a scale at my moms house so have not weighed. So will weigh in the morning when I get back to Houston. Will try to catch up with all the goings on at that time also.

Good morning and happy presidents day everyone!
It' s a great day cause one of my bands won a big award last night at our local version of the Grammys. I haven't weighed since friday? because i went to NYC (had a gig friday night, got home at 2am, went to bed at 3am, train left at 5:30am!) and it was rough and tumble until this morning. Let's see -- I was with friends in NY - we went to the Hell's Kitchen Flea Market (Yeah vintage fun babee!), then found a little hole in the wall down there called Trattoria d'Issac. Well, Issac turned out to be from Catalonia (and my friend happens to be fluent in spanish and catalan) as WELL as an ELVIS impersonator. I know my share of elvis songs, so we entertained each other for a couple of hours until some other customers came in. He was fantastic -- we had chorizo, cheese, olives, shrimp and roasted garlic swimming in olive oil. The girls also had fantastic looking bread. Also, some of Isaac's homemade wine from spain. In the evening, we were so beat that we just went to whole foods and got some roast chicken and steamed brocolli. In the morning, we had omelettes at one of the neighborhood delis. DEElish! I took the train home and then went to the music awards gala and an afterparty (2 mich ultras) and then home by 2:30a? This morning i had a one egg mushroom omelet -- and the day begins! Every one hates stalls and they do happen it is just part of this crazy game. I always have huge stalls, sometimes as long as three weeks that just annoy the crap out of me. Yep 3 months of losing and the Gaining the same 1-2 lbs! Frustrating as Heck But I did lose inches and I think it kinda taught me some about mantiance some. Like how many carbs i'll be able to eat up to and Not gain etc.. I try to stay within 20-30 now but i've noticed many more then that and the scale goes up. Probably water weight but it still hits ya! But I hung in there and now i'm lower in weight then before! Gonna Keep going till I hit my goal cause I will Not give up!

So - I need to come clean. After a long evening with my son & girlfriend in the ER, I found myself downing TWO bowls of my hubbies cereal. It reflected on the scale as a 4.2 lb gain overnight. I'm also PMSing, so I'm not surprised. It will get better. I just don't feel like I am losing very well. I never stray off plan, but I think some of the dairy products and sugar free "treats" are just screwing this up for me. I am starting the Meat and Egg Fast today. I found this on the boards here and it sounds like just the thing I need to get kick started again. I will be eating nothing but lean meats and eggs for 3-5 days. Should be in DEEP ketosis by friday. I chose this over the "Fat Fast" because it just seems better then eating cream cheese or nuts all day. Also I like the idea of consuming o carbs (with the exception of eggs) in a day.

Anyone else feel like their weight is just not budging? I'm convinced I self sabotaged myself Sunday evening by having a non-LC meal.

LC sweet treats get me sometimes too! I ate off plan last wednesday when we ate lunch at the mexican resturant! It was spare of the moment thing so I wasn't prepared and caved to those tasty but Oh so bad for me chips & Salsa! Got some good tips though to bring pork rines w/ me next time! Friday night we're supposed to go out to eat for my sons 16th Birthday! It's a catfish place he Loves and basically the Only thing for Me to eat there is boiled shrimp. Guess i'll sneak in a lc bar so I can eat It if I feel tempted to eat something HC!
