Is It OK To Juice Your Vegetables?
I hate eating veggies but I don't mind them so much if I juice them. Is this OK doing Atkins WOE?

from what I've read, when you juice veggies they lose the fiber you'd normally get if you ate them whole.. maybe if you stay away from the veggies that are higher in carbs/sugars, such as carrots. I haven't read the book directly, but saw somewhere online that atkins book specifically says "don't drink your vegetables."

Have you thought of tricking your own mind to eat them? Like make a meatload and place minced vegs in these together with plenty of meat.
Same could be for homemade hamburger. |

My coworker does this, Kale, half a lemon, spinach, beets, apple, celery, ginger, garlic, tomato, ect... she says the only way she can drink it is with apple and carrots. Let me know what you are going to juice please? Atkins does say don't drink your veggies by the way ![]() |

Welcome Fat Jack. I think it would be ok based on your body. If you just eat protein you might have bathroom issues without the added fiber the vegetables provide in their whole state. I also guarantee that your taste buds will change on this diet. When you aren't eating sugar, you will be surprised at how sweet things like onions, bell peppers, peas and broccoli are. Give it a shot in a week or so, you will be surprised and you might find that you like them. I know I really look forward to them now.

The only vegetable juice I see allowed in the book is tomato (5 carbs per 1/2 c.), and that isn't until one leaves induction.

If you're following the rules of Induction, no, juicing is not okay.
