Weight not coming off!
Hi I'm female, 22, 173 pounds, 5ft6.
I've been on atkins and dukan and in the last 14 months I've lost 48 pounds. I'm back on atkins induction, I'm on day 4, I've been on the treadmill every day, eating around 15 net grams a day and lots of water. I got weighed today and I've not lost but GAINED half a pound in that time. Very disheartening when I've stuck to the diet verbatim and worked out. Any advice? |

Give it time. After losing 48 lbs, your rate of loss will be much slower than people coming into induction from scratch, plus of course weight fluctuates on a daily basis, so one weigh-in does not a trend make! Wait and see what happens in a week's time - if you continue to gain, or remain the same, then perhaps post a daily menu so we can see if there's something you need to tweak
I'm 50 something lbs down (since August), and I'm losing a steady 2 lbs a week at the moment - but I expect that rate to slow down the closer to goal (17 lbs away!) I get. If I were to start working out I'd expect to see a small gain, because exercise can do that - but it's a good gain, because I would assume I was gaining muscle (which weighs more than fat). So, wait and see what next week's weigh-in brings (don't be tempted to weigh more than once a week, that way madness lies!), and report back!

Perhaps add fat and keep carbs the same. Don't know if it's different since you already lost so much though. I see that upping the fat on induction is a common answer to those who struggle.

First, you've lost a great amount of weight! So like Darkginger said it's not going to be as fast for you to lose since you've already Been losing. Can you post a menu of an average day?

Sounds like you are doing everything right. Now just give your body some time to catch up.
